I have been using this for around a year now... it works... cured my dandruff... I had eczema at the hairline.... it used to come back when I stopped using it.... now it never comes back... I would recommend adding some coconut oil and or castor oil to the apple cider vinegar tho... it dries after time.... but so so clean and lite... I use squirt bottles... I shake vigorously then spray quickly... it works... citrus oils seem to cover the acv smell the best.... but nothing I have found kills it all the way... but most people don't realize it is acv... meh whatever.... my hair fall stopped... regular shampoo feels so gross and waxy now... I never use it...
I've been using something like this for over a year and my hair is wonderful, and it is cheaper. When I was using commercial shampoo or plain castile soap, I was getting itchy bumps and pimples in my scalp. When I switched to baking soda, after a few weeks for my scalp to adjust, no more itchy red bumps and no more scalp zits. That alone would be worth it. I have hard water so I need to boil the water to dissolve the baking soda, let it cool, and pour it into squirt bottles. I found I can't stand the smell of vinegar, walking around smelling like a salad even though I'd rinse and rinse and rinse. So I did some reasearch and found that lemon juice is pretty close to vinegar in pH, so I switched to using fresh squeezed lemon juice and water (about 40/60). Baking soda is alkaline and can dry not only your hair but your scalp if you use often enough. The vinegar/lemon H2O balances that out since it is an acid. I just leave the baking soda mix in while I scrub my upper body in the shower, rinse, then pour the lemon water on my head and scrub the rest of my body, then rinse all of me. I also sometimes use the baking soda mix to wash the rest of my body but I always lube down after a shower with a good lotion and foot cream. The lemon juice also helps keep the brassiness out of my snow white hair. I've tried to periodically use a regular shampoo (hypoallergy one) but I still get the itchy bumps so I'm going to skip trying those things. I also only have to wash my hair about every third day (but I don't have oily hair nor do I put crap into my hair), but I rinse it every night with just plain water. If for some reason my scalp gets dirty, like if I sweat too much, I either rinse it in plain water well, or I do just a scalp baking soda wash and rinse.
I've been on my natural hair journey for two years going on three and although my hair is very thick, it seems to be growing very slow...so I am going to give this a try...Thank you for posting this
I've used this method twice and I love how my hair feel afterwards. Not sure, but I don't think I will ever go back to using store bought shampoo and conditioner again.
onto my scalp because of the menopause, someone has HOT FLASHES, Some one diffrent hit on the body, so I used into scalp massaged, after apple cider vinegar mixed with shampoo, so I used coconut oil to soft the scalp, all over again and at last I used palmolive conditioner for aroma, rinse off with WARM WATER never COLD. Don't use cold water never to these you are going into Menopause, Brain want's to be warm and easy to circulation. I love Warm-to-hot my body loves heat over 86 Farenheit or over 35 C degrees winter or summer. I am freezing, strange. I use heating in Summer if temperatures drops 78 F, unbelievable 😢.. hope this period of my life is over soon
this method is (safe/ okay ) for your hair. the apple cider vinegar balances the chemicals from the baking soda. THIS DOES LOOSEN YOUR CURL PATTERN (personal experience ) Dont continue to do it as a result your hair will be dry and brittle and start to break off i recommend to do this every Two weeks . My personal method is i dumped some baking soda into my deep conditioner and deep condition every two weeks ( no apple cider vinegar) I have seen growth and also looser curl pattern. your curl pattern becomes a looser version of what it already is not something different. ( wavy hair to looser wavy hair / spiral curls to looser spiral curls and so on ) use wisely ( METHOD IS ALSO USED AS A HOMEMADE RELAXER )
your hair may feel soft but that is because your hair follicles are now open and exposed NOT BECAUSE YOU THINK THEY ARE MOISTURIZING YOUR HAIR BECAUSE IN NO TYPE OF WAY IS THIS MOISTURIZING
I have done this for so many years. I have a commercial shampoo in the shower for the days when I do oil my hair bc the baking soda doesn’t clean off the oil well but I’m so used to it that I can’t go back to regular shampoo 😛
I just have this to comment about. First I am so pleased to know there is information available for different needs. I don't care if the VOICE IS A REAL HUMAN OR A TALKING MACHINE VOICE. IAM NOT SEEKING INFORMATION TO SEE IF IAM GOING TO TAKE THE ADVICE OR NOT . BECAUSE IF IT SOUNDS LIKE A PROGRAMED VOICE, I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT.IF A HUMAN BEING NEED ATTENTION ASP, DOSE IT MATTER AS LONG AS YOUR NEEDS ARE MET.
I'm going to try it. I just bought a bottle of apple cider vinegar now I will need the baking soda. my hair is falling a.d the shampoos are not helping. and I'm at my wits end. So I will try it.
Hi! I started one month ago washing with natriumbicarbonate. It is healthier and shines. I would highly auggest and yes I do think baking soda unclogs the hairfollicles
i am totally confused with this product baking soda . some are saying its helpful in removing unwanted facial hairs and on the other hand How the same thing can grow hair longer and strong . I want to know the actual work of baking soda
can I mix the baking soda with my shampoo and conditioner ???????? also does this do anything for hair shedding and hair breakage ??? and also does it do anything to make the hair stronger ?????
I've tried baking soda with white vinegar and it made my hair feel really clean, plus my curls were poppin. But I'm wondering I've baking soda is really natural or not, I could've sworn it was a chemical, and we're not suppose to put chemicals in our hair because it damages it. Correct me if I'm wrong, thank you
It can be manufactured, but it is also found naturally as the mineral nahcolite which is mined from places such as the Colarado River. It is amazing for so many different remedies, I love it! :)
it's too late for me ... I've already progressed into the whole top being bald ... what im looking for now is something to take away the rest of my hair so i don't need to shave it ...
Will this work if you take Apple cider vinegar pills? And then just do the baking soda outside instead and take apple cider vinegar pills on the inside???
+Ntombi Jiyane Try this, and if it doesn't work, Try shampooing with eggwhites daily. There are many different treatments for hair growth, please see our other video :)
can i ask something ... when you are finish sure the smell still in your head . can we wash with shampoo or conditioner ... which one good ... please ... thank you
Angelito Marco jr. Why would you use store bought shampoo after using a natural shampoo using baking soda. Go watch the video again because obviously you weren't paying close attention.
Angelito Marco jr. Add some drops of lavender or orange essential oil to some water in a misting bottle and spay it on if you feel you need to, but usually the vinegar smell goes as it dries.
Everyday_ Photosandmusic the baking did is alkaline but has a specific function. The vinegar rinse is to help restore your scalp's natural pH somewhat faster.
Santosh Trotmam ,,, try this hair treatment! 2 TABLESPOON CASTOR Oil 1 Tablespoon Honey 1 Egg Yolk Mix well, spread onto scalp and ends , cover with shower cap for 2 hours. rinse well and shampoo and condition hair. Do this twice a week for 8 weeks or longer. It will grow your hair. you tube June Penny, hair growth challenge! :)
Would upset the natural acid balance of your hair! Please research! Would in time make hair dry, brittle, and damaged! Please do your research about natural PH balances of your hair and scalp. This is not the solution for hair growth!

kimoni6 9
about to start doing this
Does it really workedout for you
I still don't get it cause if vinegar and baking soda are mixed together it would act as an acid. So would it not be better to not use the vinegar?
Human hair should be slightly acidic to be healthy (around 4.5 - 5ph) ACV works well in balancing this :)
Ryan Taylor I see thanks for the lesson bud.
Ryan Taylor but, isn't the acidity pH level of baking soda and vinegar higher than that of the human hair?
can i use white vinegar
Everyday_ Photosandmusic the baking did is alkaline but has a specific function. The vinegar rinse is to help restore your scalp's natural pH somewhat faster.
what if i dont use acv is it okay?
