    I tend to like bookcases without backs too. Can there be a bookcase that does not rest on the floor? That is installed onto the wall?

      aww yes Sara it is very possible to have a floating bookcase. It would look clean. As a maker though it is often easier to put things are the floor because you are not as concerned about vertical loads on the wall studs that happens with a float object. Books can get heavy quickly and it’s nice to have the bookcase base take the load but yes there are some very beautiful floating cases. I am glad you like cases without the backs. Thank you so much for watching
