hey there! just got a legion Go and bought lossless scaling. I've pretty much left everything to default and set lsfg to 2.0 (draw fps enabled as well). Anything else i'm missing? also - in Days gone there's no borderless option just windowed, full screen and fs windowed. Should i set res to 800p and leave it at fullscreen before turning lossless scaling on? Edit: Just tried this at high settings - 800p - fs windowed without lossless scaling i was getting 35-45fps. WIth lossless scaling it dropped to 17-20 according to legion space fps reader. But the fps reader from lossless is showing 98? The game is unplayable

I just found out about this, got it to test with my emulators. I'm getting 90fps in astral chain on my ally. Had to put it to 720 to get a stable experience. But the fact i can emulate a switch game with 90fps on a hndheld is unreal. Working great so far with rpcs3 on my desktop too! I feel like I'm dreaming 🥰
Lossless scalling just got updated to remove UI ghosting/artefacting while using frame generation. Now it double your fps and works like a dream. In palword for example UI ghosting was very noticeable now it's gone completly, and it's gone in many more games from what people say in the comments. And I had mixed feelings after trying Lossless scalling 2 days ago but now you can't literally see that it's generating free frames for you.
Fun fact to anybody with a 40 series gpu you can stack the frame gen mod with the Nvidia frame gen so if your getting 80 fps with Nvidia frame with lossless you get 144 fps
I was skeptical. But trying it I was mind blown. For me it's a game changer for Handhelds. I can set it to lower Tdp still get pretty smooth performance and get more battery life. Perfect for my work commute where I need as much battery I can get. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I'm enjoying it on my Rog Ally and on my Legion Go 👌
Pretty amazing right!! Cant wait till we get the actual AMD Frame Gen in future driver update. But this lossless software is awesome. Frame Gen is exactly what the handhelds need. Good upscalers and frame generation

Yes, also if your r using frame gen then make sure its half whatever fps you are targeting and the more consistent the fps is the better experience you will have.
It probably works a lot better on steam deck oled because steam deck oled has a lot less latency. I've tried it on the original steam deck and I thought it was good but definitely on the Oled it will be excellent.

Yea thats a good one as well but a bit more work if I remember right. Will probably cover that one in the future. This was just so easy and one and done works for everything. Love all the options we have

i got losses scaling a month ago for the legion and i refund it i think its a scam you cant use any other overlays to see the fps count you can only use the one comes with the lossless and the fps boost is way too much for just an app its like a whole new GPU a game you get 60fps in you enable lossless you get 120fps easily and you cant see any difference
Your entitled to that opinion but I have used this for a month also testing it extensively. It does work. As far as fps overlay thats the case with AMD frame gen as well. Only thier software will show fps proper all others show base game fps preboost. Just how it works. Same for lossless. Only their software can show the fps after boost as to where msi afterburner is gonna show base game fps. And for me the difference is night and day. I can see and feel the difference easily with lossless on vs off. Helldivers on Legion Go or Ally with lossless on is a waaaaay better experience than without lossless hands down.
We just released LSFG 2.0 today! This is due to its poor quality at low framerates, so handhelds got a big upgrade

Try locking your in-game FPS to be 1/2 of your target. So, for 60 fps target, try 30 fps. It should help feel more smooth.

I was playing stalker gamma at 50fps.
This limits the true fps to 40 and doubles the fps to 80. So yeah a nice improvement.
Rn it works even better even if you generate framerate over your monitor refreshrate + other fixes

steam deck LCD wont benefit so much, but oled will. going from 45 to 90 or 40 to 80 is quite insane. but i really hope they get linux support.

Correct, the small counter on top of the big one is the lossless frame gen FPS that is enabled by clicking on "Draw FPS" tick that he mentioned

It probably works a lot better on steam deck oled because steam deck oled has a lot less latency. I've tried it on the original steam deck and I thought it was good but definitely on the Oled it will be excellent.
If valve ever releases audio drivers for windows oled lol. Until then windows is a no go on oled.

Mine is very custom over the years for different devices and pc’s. Doesn’t just work on these out of the box.

What’s your palworld settings on the go? Mine goes between 16 and 20fps. Feels very janky 😢

unfortunately it doesn't and when i asked the dev if it's ever going to work on steamos he said he had no plan to support outside of windows

Your game has to be on window mode. It won't work with full screen

The upscaling and the frame generation can be toggled seperately, there is also a VRR option I legacy options, and also HDR toggle fyi
Better off with Luke mod, he fixes all of that and flickering. You actually see way better performance. Only $6 also

Sounds like you're using it wrong. I see a very noticeable difference in terms of smoothness.
