Eh, probably more like 20-30. This move came out in January 2003, and I saw it theaters when I was six. The film was clearly marketed towards kids within the age range of about five to ten years old, so I highly doubt that anyone who was born in the late eighties and in high school by then had any interest in seeing a movie called “Kangaroo Jack”.

As a proud owner of the DVD, this was a childhood favorite of mine XD, there's a feature that has the voice actor of Kangaroo Jack doing commentary on all the scenes he shows up in, while in character XD And he says some pretty crazy things in it:
    - He says that originally the first scene with him was supposed to end with a dance number (like Korey joked about) but because everybody on set wanted to call it a day, he improvised kicking Charlie to the ground.
    - He says he actually hated wearing that red jacket because it was hot and itchy. He even jokes that they kept going through jackets throughout production because they kept getting ruined.
    - He says that in the dream sequence, all of the dancing kangaroos there are his relatives who are hired for the film and that the one doing Christopher Walken was his uncle who later got hired as Christopher Walken's stunt double
    - This one's REALLY WEIRD: he does a commentary on the romantic waterfall scene between the two leads, and says that it was originally shot WITH HIM AND THE FEMALE ACTRESS! INCLUDING HAVING A KISS ON SCREEN! I SWEAR I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP!
    - There's a bit in the film where the Kangaroo accidentally eats some spicy candy, and in the commentary, he jokes that they did so many takes, that his tongue swelled up and he had to go to the hospital.
    - He even practices an acceptance speech in case he ever WON AN OSCAR! AGAIN! NOT MAKING THIS SHIT UP! XD

From what I understand, it was supposed to be a R-rated mob comedy in the style of Midnight Run. but the producers aw the first rough cut, they realized that it wasn't working as expected. Inspired by positive response to the kangaroo scene in early test screenings, as well as the marketing campaign behind the recently released Snow Dogs, the production shifted the marketing focus away from that of a dark mafia comedy to that of a family-friendly animal picture. The rapping the kangaroo moment was added after the they changed the film.
