I honestly love John Leguizamo in most movies, especially as the voice as Sid in Ice Age movies, but, as much as the movie is just too annoying, non-sensical, and painfully ridiculous, not to mention offensive and racist, he is definitely trying to be at least entertaining throughout this whole catastrophe. Maybe im weird, but as a teen I really i liked this movie. I saw it as them bringing a Saturday morning cartoon character to life, and with the title, he was intentionally annoying. If you converted every scene of this movie to animation, it really would be exactly in line with that and no different than a lot of animated characters. Is it award worthy material? Nope. Is it weird and fun? Yes! If I had to choose watching this or the billionth generic action movie with explosions and thin story, id choose The Pest. Sometimes it’s fun to have something different, and this movie is definitely different. It has issues, but it’s a lot like Ace Ventura in a way, you either let yourself laugh at the crazy and forget the dumb, or you’ll just hate the experience. But to each their own.
I feel like this movie did a lot better in Canada. When it hit video stores I remember everyone in my town talking about it and quoting it. The teacher even played it in my 5th grade classroom on the last day of school because there was nothing else to do! It was a Catholic school as well, so weird

It has issues, but it’s a lot like Ace Ventura in a way, you either let yourself laugh at the crazy and forget the dumb, or you’ll just hate the experience.

I feel like this movie did a lot better in Canada. When it hit video stores I remember everyone in my town talking about it and quoting it. The teacher even played it in my 5th grade classroom on the last day of school because there was nothing else to do! It was a Catholic school as well, so weird
