    What drove you to add the SC2 and given you've hopefully dialed it in now is it worth all the effort (expensive, not easy to get hold of in UK, installation, tuning, etc)?
    I do like the idea of setting up once and forget ... I'm not a carb man.

      Well I had mine for £100. It's supposed to reduce consumption, can't prove as did not ride enough before with original carb. When you lean bike to ground (no leaking) and it's dialed now. Also has capability to tune easily if needed.
      Would I pay £800? NOT NOT NOT

    It's too lean

      That's what I thought Dave. Sort of new to this kind of stuff, I set it as per SmartCarb instructions 112 and vent even leaner... after that just went richer and was getting better.

      @@marekonbike9291 don't get too hung up on the number of clicks required to dial the SmartCarb in but do keep track of your changes. Oil injected Betas typically run around 110-112 clicks give or take, but with premix we set them to around 85 clicks from full rich. The reason is because we only meter the fuel with oil injection and both the fuel and the oil with it running premix which requires a richer setting.
      The adjustment resolution is very fine with the SmartCarb - finer than any other carburetor. It does not give the same effect, but to help you understand it takes around 30 clicks on the SC2 to move the metering rod the same distance as a single clip position change moves a needle in a Keihin. Different fuel compositions regionally may also effect our tuning baselines and ultimate best state of tune.
      We trust that you have contacted us directly for tuning assistance? If not we encourage you to do so. Education is the most important work we do and we are happy to help any SmartCarb owner new or used.
      Lastly we absolutely do not recommend using a check-valve fuel tank vent like your blue stubby one. They are prone to causing intermittent venting restriction which can cause fuel flow restriction and running issues into the SmartCarb. The stock fuel tank vent is advised.

      @@MrBoomtheroomThanks for advice, I am at around 80 clicks at the moment. Rides well.

    Have you figured it out?

    • @marekonbike9291
      @marekonbike9291  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it was far too lean. The settings (112 clicks) that came as correct setup were wrong. Now I am about 18clicks reacher and bike runs much better.

      @@marekonbike9291 Exactly what I had to do with mine. Setting was supposed to be 110 for mine and I'm at 92 clicks and it runs perfect. However, the issue with mine was probably that I am running a normal 300 cage for the air filter rather than the stock choked up air filter cage that comes on the Xtrainer. I suspect you are too since your bike already has most of the mods that people do to them.

      @@aftermarketlife452 I think I have the stock Xtrainer cage as I am using the oil pump from convenience point of view. Mine works well now, but I don't think it does anything with reducing fuel consumption. Comparing to lads that ride on 300rr... mine has about same consumption when riding together and they have more power...
