  • In this episode, I remove the rear axle, suspension, fuel tank and rear subframe for restoration. I also perform quite a bit of rust repair to the rear floor pan, frame rails and rockers. Furthermore; I talk about this volvo 740's suspension lift. Everything will get put back together in the next episode.

Barefoot welding and grinding that is a new one for me. Either way this video really made a good guide to change my rear axle! Thumbs up.

The differential is a G80 locker original to some 740s and 940s. Also, both the 740 and 940 come with live rear axles and the multilink independent suspension

It is amazing to see how you guys in america just weld something from an old bumper or shock absorber into a control arm to repair or even improve it. In germany, if the car inspector sees that, he would instantly remove the license plate so you can no longe drive the car in traffic because it is a dangerous and illegal modification.
    Best gegards from germany!

Curious if you never get metal shards or similar in your feet walking around bare foot in the shop?🤔
    With love from Sweden!👍

very nice video. oh boy that car is rusty. reminds me of my -99 nissan almera with 421tkm on it. it had 1/5 stars in crash test when it was new, so it was as safe as a wet cardboardbox. i always enjoy your goofing around at the end of the video. also, very good content all around :)

Nice work overall. Enjoyed the video format. Definitely inspired me to get moving on my 740 wagon, I'm very thankful mine is a southern car, but it would look better with bed liner over factory tar lol
