Thank you for the sub it helps me out.
@@reddirtdesigns7021 u r welcome loving your stuff bro
So it takes about 3 thick coats of clear to completely cover the bubbles?
Yes 3 to 4 coats gives you material to sand and buff it out if needed. Here is a video I did on sanding and buffing if you need that info. Thanks for watching I truly appreciate it.

Thank you so much for doing that! And thanks for watching
Wow! If someone explained this to me, I'd say, "That won't work..." but, seeing is believing. Great demonstration. Quick question - I have an airbrush, but not a paint gun. For small projects, do you think it would be possible to apply clear coat with an airbrush, or am I just setting myself up for frustration? Thanks again for all of the helpful information!
I’d say if it was like 5“ x 5“ size panel you might be able to get away with it. I have cleared small touchups with an airbrush before I personally for small projects. Really enjoy my mini touch up gun. Thanks so much for watching.
Is there anything you can use if you’d wanna do this on a vertical surface… like a boat?
Good question the challenge is every surface has to be flat in order to let the droplets not move
Niceeeeeeee
Thank you!
Cool what gun you useing
The airbrush I used is amzn.to/3TJLgpY and the paint gun is www.amazon.com/dp/B000KSTFJO/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_71Q5MRM0SY1W7ECP68KK?linkCode=ml2&tag=reddirtdesi08-20 hope this helps thanks for watching!
What if you're already done the effects on a helmet and some already messed up but you're going to touch it up with a paintbrush or airbrush
Honestly, a curved surface is extremely hard to do impressive if you’re able to get it to work properly. Generally, I just do flat surfaces that I can lay down, and if it messes up, I generally repaint entire surface or use body lines as masking points. Sorry I don’t have much advice for this particular question. Thanks for watching and hope you get your helmet done.
The prices of everything done scared me off, bring on Jason...
Yeah painting can be kinda pricey. You can always start small and work your way up to larger. I started airbrushing on canvas with Walmart cheap acrylic paints.
Does this require enamel or water based paint? or can it work with either?
I used urethane paint water based doesn’t work.
@@reddirtdesigns7021 thank you
What paint was used with the airbrush?
It needs to be a urethane paint. I believe I use Dupont on this project. Make sure you do not use water-based paints. It will not work. Thanks for watching.
