Regarding your big book fear - I recommend The StoryGraph. It's a bit like Goodreads but owned by a black woman instead of amazon and just better in general. One great feature: in addition to a book goal you can also set a page goal, that way a 1000+ page tomb actually counts more than a novella.

COVID.... and a job. Every cloud eh Jack! Also when my family go on holiday, we often get apartments in residential areas for 3-5 days and go out for dinner but go to mad local supermarkets for breakfast, lunch etc and it is sooooo much more fun that staying in a hotel (we’ve done it in Sweden, Denmark and Canada!)
I’m an animal management student and I love that you’re advocating for the rescue of animals and it’s hopefully going to spread awareness about how bad people sometimes treat animals and how bad it can get as all animals have feeling and even if they get stressed, when they are stressed for too long, it can actually kill them just like in humans! Also, I love that you are reading books that Kim Namjoon recommended as I for one love BTS and reading. Keep doing what you are doing as you are amazing!
I love big books, I'm currently reading an English translation of a Chinese webnovel, there are 1613 chapters split into 10 books and in about 2 months I have read 1339 chapters and am now in book 8. Also planning to read the authors other 2 webnovels because of the links between them and also the writing style is something I actually quite like. It's not necessarily the best written book series I've ever read, but its been keeping me (relatively) sane since December. I think I've been reading up to 100 chapters in a day sometimes, the chapters aren't particularly long though, only abut 3000 words each. I did also read the entire Swallows and Amazons series in I think 3 months a few years ago and longest one of the books in the series is over 500 pages.
