it’s not about the covers for me, i need the flopiness of the US books, it’s all it takes for me to search for the US instead of the UK, though sometimes the UK has more colorful ones.
I love that they're both complaining that the cover of "Daisy Jones and the Six" is just "daisy" when it could be the whole band... but that's literally most of the conflict of the book lol. Daisy hogging the spotlight
I actually really love the UK If We Were Villians cover as the dead bird on the cover is a sparrow.If you've read the book you may remember it being used as a metaphor multiple times and certain characters being described as a sparrow which i think adds a layer of genius foreshadowing.I think overall it gives off a very classic acadamia vibe while the US cover gives off a more chaotic acadamia feel. Either way it is a life changing book and I highly recommend to anyone who enjoyed The Secret History of The picture of Dorian Gray as well as people who just want to try a book in the dark acadamia genre.
I swear I was calm through out the video, just having my breakfast while watching two of my favorites discussing books covers until Steph said Daddy and Jake broke into laughter and I spilled tea all over my book that I was meant to read after a little break, guess I will read after my tears get soaked up and pages dry.
I agree with most of their choices but the Midnight Library UK version is better BY FAR in my eyes. its so inviting to read. the indigo shade with the bright scattered elements give a cozy vibe that fits the title so well. plus, there's a cat on it.
