Thanks for the content my youtube friend. I'm a real estate broker here in LA. When prices were going up in LA, I was surprised that it was skyrocketing around the U.S.A. too, even in smaller cities. My wife just purchased some land in the Philippines and it was way more than I expected. I now realized that real estate has increased significantly across the globe, and with foreigners moving to popular places like Thailand, Philippines, Bali, Vietnam...etc, prices are skyrocketing there too because of bidding wars. It's the foreigners that are causing the major price increases, but that's not a bad thing either.

You're right man prices have went sky high, I was looking before the pandemic and it was way cheaper. Jomtien used to be cheap now its what the price of Central Pattaya used to be & Central Pattaya is what some places in Bangkok are. Good thing the market is flooded with properties so there will be deals coming soon. Glad you got a good spot man, I am really happy for you.
Not quite that bad, but when it was peak season, it was crazy. Things were double and triple.

Great video. Very informative. I don't know about prices in the Philippines and Thailand being the same though. There's a TH-camr recent to the scene who's been living in the Philippines for 8 months. He has a beach place in Boracay and a penthouse in Makati city. I think his total living costs come to about $2500 per month. Your place looks wicked! Man, that huge balcony. 👍🏾

He has since moved to a penthouse in Makati and his living costs are about $2500 for 2 places which includes a beach place in Boracay, food, transport, etc. He mentioned this in one of his lives. Apparently he used to live in Thailand for 3 years. His channel gathered steam after he did a video on Thailand vs the Philippines where the Phils came out on top for him. A negative Thai article was written about him which got 300k views. He was given more positive praise when his channel was featured on the Legion of Men TH-cam channel. He also says he has a 20% female following.

I always get a kick,and laugh,when people ask " can I live on a 1000$ a month , my answer is always the same, you can survive, but you can survive in the matrix for that barely, I just like the fact you put it out there, low end medium and high end, because nobody ever includes health insurance, vehicle insurance association fees and all , but the funny thing about Pattaya is if you do a price comparison between going out to eat or grocery shopping all the time it's about the same
How do you say its all the same for groceries and eating out when you can't even get a meal that's healthy for about 1 dollar and change at the night market compared to the states ? 1 liter of bottle water in the states is the price of a 10 pack of bottle waters in pattaya, so what are you reffing to as the same ?
@@TheMikeyStory in Thailand,if you eat out all the time, or you go grocery shopping to prepare the same meal you would eat at a restaurant, the price is about the same, in the matrix your out of there, but in Thailand it's not much difference.

Very Interesting, as I was thinking... If I moved there I would put @ 250-300K on a place. Then have a budget around @ $6K for everything else. (Utilities, Food, Insurance, Clothing, Night Life, etc.) Glad to know my budget looks to be right.

You can get a mortgage in Philippines if you’re married to a Filipina, but the banks will only loan about 50% of the sales price.

It's pretty straightforward. If you live within your means you'll be OK. I'm a little overextended because I still have my property in the states but all that does is inspire me to work harder. Stay on my grind and keep pushing out great Content. 🙌🏽💯

Just to keep things in perspective. Lol TH-cam does not pay a lot of money. At least not to me. I posted a video showing what I actually make on TH-cam. But really, it depends on the watch time of your videos. The longer people watch, the better the check is. The problem is, people have a short attention span's and too many options. It's very competitive, but if you hit a lick and one of your videos, catches fire, that's when you put your foot on the gas and smash!

When the time comes, I think I'll buy a small cheap condo in central Pattaya, as a party/crash pad. But still rent a nice house out by Lake Marbachan area. That way I get the best of all worlds.

Its possible for farang to get a mortgage in Thailand. Lay down 30% deposit. Id be very cautious buying, building maintenance can be questionable

I was looking before COVID, came back after COVID prices down 20% and the dollar up 15%. Suddenly I was like there will never be a better time than now.
Prices are down? You might be right. But my videos done during high season, and the prices are crazy!
@@ZoomToThailand I bought in March, maybe I just got lucky. The seller of mine just wanted an easy transaction after returning after 2 years of covid. I made a decision after about 5 minutes in the place (I have rented in the building for 10 years) and the deal was done in 6 days. Everybody got what they wanted.

You've been to Brasil and I hope enjoyed our rodizio, no sauce on the steak, but here in the US I can honesty tell you that tangy South Carolina sauce on some ribs is amazing. Kind of like ketchup on pizza, so lets get James to try it, I swear I heard him saying he'll try something at least once lol.

From an engineering perspective, you can gut an old building for aesthetics but those old building have foundations built with old building codes. They are very susceptible to severe earthquake damage. I wouldn't invest in a refurbished building unless you see them doing foundation reinforcements.

Yes, George that includes rent and living expenses. Once again, depending on your habits and your entertainment, it could be a lot more or a lot less either way it's a win-win as far as I'm concerned!
