The prices of apartments and houses in Pattaya and Jomtein took a nose dive in the last 45 days. I found a 3 bedroom house with private pool for $700USD a month and a beach front apartment for $200USD. I'm moving my employees from the Phillipines to Thailand. It just makes sense.

@mauricepatterson9558 Thailand is cheaper. In 2022, the Philippines was cheaper than Thailand, but now it's 30%+ more expensive than Thailand. With all the poverty, infrastructure, and safety issues in the Philippines, I don't understand why people are retiring there in 2023. It's not worth it.
I just moved here. My five are 1) cost of living compared w/ the quality of life 2) most respectful culture I've seen of the 23 countries I've visited 3) relationships- it's easier to make new friends & acquaintances than in the States, because most Thai's are fun and balanced, and many expats have a lot in common. 4) I don't like cold weather 5) It doesn't seem like a very stressful environment, other than maybe some aspects of Bangkok, which isn't where I'm settling
Been living in Thailand since 2012. Best decision EVER! I try to tell people, but they’re not listening…and then want to complain about the cost of living in the U.S. I’m sick when I go back to the U.S.

The Philippines is a dump and unsafe. So many squatters and disconnected people not doing anything. It's a last resort for people because there's so many better places to live. Even in Central and South America.

✈✈✈Traveling for more 2 decades abroad and peeping your channel for about 6 months, I must admit this is the most inspiring and hopeful videos for men, who have never traveled and/or worried about retiring. Working in finance for 19 years, I've made the decision to liquidate my assets, cash out my 401k, including selling my house and retiring early in 4 more years. I understand many younger men can not make this plan as of yet, but just know having a plan is better than not having one and dealing with the same all your life in the Matrix. Get your money together, stop spending on unnecessary things and keep your money for your future quality of life Kings.✈✈✈

I can totally. My wife is Mongolian and she’s very cooperative and takes care the house. When people see us, they think we are newlyweds lol. We been married over 8 years and together for over 10 years. So I feel what you’re saying

I always enjoy these type of video’s. But I like how you touched on the culture and respecting people. I served in the Navy 11 years and out of all the countries I’ve been to it has been nothing but respect. I always tell people who have never traveled abroad it’s all about your mindset. Leave your nonsense at home and enjoy the culture. Great content as always my brother and thanks for putting out positive content for the brothers who haven’t experience life outside of America.
Richie is spot on also want to mention the village life my wife and I stay north east Thailand close to Lao it’s is an amazing life and experience It’s a lot cheaper than the big cities we don’t have a walking street in most of the places but huge night markets and day markets, beautiful temples, where we live I’m the only black person around so I don’t see a lot of me, but the people treat me so good and ignore the fact that I’m different we have three foreigners that live where we live they have met wives, married, and build homes, and some of the happiest people you could ever meet so I just said all that to say don’t sleep on the small village life in Thailand

Used to live in Phuket, and about to leave Pattaya to go back to work in China. I love Thailand, and definitely coming back soon to live full-time.
Food is available in every country, available 24 hours a day, and you can walk around at night feeling safe. There is also a 7-Eleven that is open 24 hours a day and there are strip shops everywhere. 😊
I am 2 weeks away from touching down in Thailand 🇹🇭 and enjoying 2 weeks of harmony and nirvana.
I arrive on 12 October, can’t wait.

I arrive on the 11th. Spending a couple of days in Bangkok and then headed down to Pattaya. Had a blast last year and can’t wait to get back.
I live in Bangkok and I get buy on $2000 and live comfortably ( I do not drink) but 2500 is a good budget.
My most expensive expense in Thailand is Ganga 😆. It's more than my rent and utilities combined.

17:48 A few years ago here in Texas, I went to the emergency room for pain in my stomach that turned out in me having an appendix removed. I kid you not, the bill was 100K US dollars because I didn't have insurance. My head about exploded when I saw that. Ritchie, my head almost exploded again when you said how much an appendix removal is there in Thailand.

You speak the truth, Richie Mac. We just returned from our nightly jog at Lake Mabprachan(on the dark side Pattaya). Safety is paramount at any time of the day or night. Can't run around many lakes in the Matrix after dark. We just wish Villa Market at the Little Walk in Bang Lamung stayed open 24/7. 555! Great truthful video once again.

I live in Thailand. I'm in Kuala Lumpur writing this comment. I've been here a month and while this place hasn't reached Thailand's status, it has potential.
@@ECA2 KL is awesome. Love it there. Thailand is just more affordable and the culture is more accepting of the wild side IMO which is not for me. But everything else is about the same. The biggest difference for me was the tourist mix. Much more diversified in KL compared to Phuket which was predominantly Eastern European.

Your #1 is also mine, I thought something was wrong I never felt peace like this in my life especially being from chaotic San Francisco. The peace is therapeutic and everything else is on point.

Another good video by Richie. Zoom to Thailand is better than t.v. that's how bad t.v. is right now. I agree with Richie Mac's list,and,in the order of the topics Richie Mac has it in. Even women are not my number one reason,for wanting to visit Thailand. My number one is the culture of Thailand,the respect that people have,for each other including the visitors that settle down in Thailand. I see that in alot of videos of Thai people of how they treat each other from locals to foreigners,the food is also in my list,the cost of living,etc. When Richie started talking about that matrix dude I was like 😂 because he was acting a fool.

Im a minimilist and as a retired forensic child abuse/sex traffickin investigator (super stressful), me and my wife live on 2000 USD per month all in.
And living better than when I was making 120k per year in the matrix.
Trust me, we want for nothing. I have a enough time to working on book projects, go to the gym, stay fit, volunter work at a local orphanage and counseing and mentoring youth..
Giving back is the season I'm in and im in heaven.

Best time to visit Thailand is from November to February. This is called the COOL SEASON but there is nothing cold about Thailand if you're not in the northern parts. The weather during these months averages in the low to upper 80s F (26.7 C to 31 C). I'm headed there this November!

Making "Walking Street" a more family oriented place is a huge mistake. Here in Cleveland, Ohio they tried to make our adult playground more family oriented, 20 years ago, and we have never recovered.
