Marko is so missed. he it such a jack of all things music. he can sing aggressively or softly with tenderness. He can be the type of storyteller that sings around a campfire or scares you with his primal metal screams. He is a big part of the metal in Nightwish and he plays both bass and guitar. Just so versatile in so many ways. I personally think Floor will miss Marko on tour. He added a depth and such powerful vocal support to Nightwish songs. Marko also took the lead here and there as well as a solo song, which gave Floor a little breather. don't get me wrong, Floor can handle it alone, but there is something to be said for team support in a 2 hour bombastic metal show on a long tour.

One of best songs with Annette during her time with band she has a pop rock voice so original arrangement was formulated towards that for background also I think meadows of heaven was one of her best songs that really showcased her voice now she sings with “ The Dark Element” I love Tarja, I like Annette, and appreciate Floor.

The tragedy behind the scenes on this one is that at the time the concert happened, his own marriage was practically dead. He barely made it to the show due to having performed for Raskasta Joulua the evening before and his flight got delayed and whatnot and already exhausted, he stumbled into a chaos between interviews, way too hasty rehearsal and VIPs and other fans besieging them. But the true chaos was that he himself had invited his girlfriend(who he is now married to) to the show, which cost a lot of uproar as the partners of others in the band/crew basically invited themselves there as a kind of "family trip" to celebrate the fantastic achievement of selling out Wembley Arena - they all wanted to be there. And then there was Marko's wife too, whom he had not expected to see there as they hadn't talked in weeks. And every other woman was bashing Marko how he dared to invite his girlfriend and not his wife, then bashing their own partners claiming that this was just so stereotypical for what was going on on tours and a lot of innocent people got a blow from others who just assumed a lot of things without really caring about what actually lead to Marko's relationship situation. He mentioned himself that for a few moments during the show, when looking over at the separated area where they all stood, that there might still be hope to sort it all out, but eventually, half a year later, he realized that it had indeed been an "empty hope" after all(quote, yes) and filed divorce from a marriage he had been blamed for not being present in. Which is a paradox, because he was bringing in all the money and that was the only reason Manki had agreed to him joining Nightwish in the first place, as they had two babies to feed at that time. Basically a situation, over the years, where he would have been blamed for taking on another job that paid less just as much as he was blamed for the job that paid well but kept him from being at home. Just to mention one aspect of the downwards spiral. And mind that this was 6 years after he'd sobered and still it wasn't enough. (I will not write a full novel here - there is one actually and that is my source - go read that wee book called "Stainless?" if you care) So yeah, long story "short", we, the spectators, only see a splendid performance. We gasp at the perfection, maybe even nitpick here or there. But what we often don't see is, it takes a lot to sing a song like this, in such a way even. But it takes even more to sing a song like this in a situation like this and not break apart. And it takes frickin' stamina and mental blindfolds and routine to sing a song like this, in a situation like this, while being someone who has been dealing with chronic depression all his life, and not stop right there, lay down the bass on the floor and quit it all for good. People have been on and off of the most horrendous theories(despite him asking us not to, but people are people) why he withdrew himself from the public after having been forced to reflect on his life for a year instead of continuing to shut it all in a cabinet in the back of his mind. This evening. This one show. As grand as it was, it was yet another nightmare among the hundreds he had faced in his life. Some he talked about, in his book or elsewhere, but we, us outsiders, will never know all of them and we don't have to. It's just sad, that some people seem to not understand that neither of their personal ideas about his reason was HIS reason. I'm also not saying it was this or that. I'm blindly guessing, based on the information I have, like all of us. And it's enough for me to safely say, any of his reasons is as damn good as the other for him to grant himself the break his life has never really given him. I can already see people moaning in two weeks "It's 2022 - where is he?" without doing research and seeing that he did try to take part at all Raskasta Joulua shows this year, but the universe had other plans(a lot of people in the project got sick before and during the shows - luckily or hopefully just colds and other normal winter issues). He is confirmed as a solo artist for some small summer festivals already. He is still participating in other artists' projects - whether those had been part of the ones he had agreed on beforehand or not, doesn't matter. They were his choice. And so it will be his choice to personally announce all that or leave it to the people in charge who already announced stuff. It is his life and not ours. Social media, or any mean of communication and information, should be about connecting with people and sharing the privilege of knowledge. Not for demanding of others, to please our selfish needs for entertainment as we lost the ability to even want to try entertaining ourselves. In that sense, open your eyes and have a care. When the coffin is closed, when there is no blood left to redden your love ones' lips, it's too late. Thank you for reading this to the end.

We rarely get "tender" Marko in NW, though you will hear this Marko in his other projects. A couple of other things: how many lead singers will quietly sit on the drum riser and let the backing vocalist take the stage? Can we also give a shoutout to Troy's stellar EBow work? In the original, this part was played on a violin.
Perhaps the problem is considering Marko a backing singer. Based on what I've seen of Floors admiration of her bandmates, I doubt you would ever see her consider him that.
