@@marita2g It's one of the things about Floor that is so likeable. It's Marko's turn to shine. She could have gone for a break and and only showed up for her bit. Her attitude could have been, since she had nothing to do, why be there when she could be relaxing and getting a drink?
She could have been on stage the whole time twirling about and pulling attention away from Marko, but no. She sits quietly, almost unnoticeable in the darkness, supporting Marko simply by sitting and listening to him sing. Then she starts singing backing vocals while still seated, until it's time to get up to the mic stand. Quintessential team player.

This was filmed around time when Paris terrorist attack happened. And Nightwish didnt cancel their show in Paris like many other bands did. They played in Paris only maybe two weeks or week after the horrible attack.
Floor was just sat in front of Kai at the start.

Marco has been in this business a long time. He's somewhat a legend in Finland. His first band Tarot from 1984 with his brother, check out Tarot Tides live is a bit of a ballad, His solo album is also great. He's also has a number of side projects, Northern Kings, powerless Trio, Raskasta Joulua (Metal Christmas shows) , All Hietala power Trio with his brother and son. He also worked with a number of artists like Delain, Jonas and I, Ayreon (Theory of everything). He is such a versatile vocalist.

Tuomas told that this is one of those songs which they are not going to perform live anymore. This is so personalized to Marco’s voice. Same with the song from the New Album, Endlessness.
More Marko and Nightwish, song they never have played live and never will: Master Passion Greed. Angriest song Tuomas never written.
The reason that Marco is great on this song is that he is expressive & heartfelt; even without knowing that he suffered from depression anyone could hear in his voice the authenticity of feeling.

You're right. This is real music and that is withheld from all of us by radio stations around the world. If we don't look for and discover ourselves, we wouldn't even get to hear something like that. It's a shame that only shit is on the radio and television.
Marco is also a solo singer. He also has his own youtube channel like Floor. He and Floor are actually shown in the small windows in almost every Nightwish video in the end. Just click on it when you see Marco there. 😉

Floor is there all the time , sitting down by the drums to leave space for Marko. Troy plays with an e-bow (that's the thing you see in his right hand) to get this fantastic sound of the guitar.
I think you must go to a double reaction of the songs from now on - the first one you just disappear into the song - as you should do.

Floor was there the whole time - and Troy's E-bow!!! phenomenal.
But that's how Nightwish works on music lovers - I still find new details - and I was at the concert AND have watched the concert 1000 times st home - still finds new details. 🙄

Holopainen gives nicely space to all the members of Nightwish. But still I wish Marko Hietala would have been given even more visibility and coverage. He is the singer in his own right.
He has as many other songs out there as well. (Voice of my Father). Powerless Trio, Northern Kings. And he won the Mask singer Finland. All are amazing.

If u want to know how Troy makes those sounds with his guitar, the gadget he's holding is called an E-Bow. It has a magnetic field that keeps the wanted string vibrating creating the heard effect.
No great symphonic metal band without a ballad, Nightwish has more and this one is a masterpiece.
Not sure how you'r gonna survive of Poet and the pendulum....right now Marko's songs are too emotionals for me, makes me cry. I found Nightwish just moment before Marko told he is leaving. I'm sad I never saw them together. I hope the new member help us move forward in our grief...
Actually this is not really a Nightwish song. Tuomas wrote it for the film Lieksa/The Matriarch.
"The Matriarch - full movie" on YT. English subtitles available, very handy for those who do not understand Finnish...or Vietnamese. Lieksa is a town in Finland.

Someone told Nightwish put this song to the setlist when they played in Paris France,
(not Paris Texas lol), soon after the terrorist attack to the Rock Club Battaglan(?), correct me if I'm wrong with the name. Was there almost 100 people who died? Many other bands cancelled their concerts there.

Tuomas wrote this song (score) for a Finnish film 'The Matriarch' in 2007. There is an Official Music Video showing clips of the movie as Marko walks thru the movie set past the actors. Tuomas is seen following a few paces behind him, staring into the camera sometimes mouthing unknown words. Haunting. Cinematography is beautiful. You must see it. This was the Theme song for a very sad Finnish movie called Lieksa! It was written by Tuomas and Marko, but it is not considered a Nightwish song. BTW, Marko is the front man for a band called Tarot, which has been around for a very long time. Great reaction my friend 🤗

Marco and his brother Zach was band called Tarot. Marco is a lead singer of that band. Wings of Darkness is the first time I have seen Marco on TV (1986). Based on Marco's interview Tarot has been around since 1984.

Marko is a frontman, has been since the early 80's... Check out Tarot. And when you search youtube Marko Hietala, you'll find many solo project songs, many have recommended Isäni ääni, which also I recommend. And Northern Kings, and what else...

Marco did a song with his brother and band in "Henry's" pub closing session, earlier this month.
He did the one song with Zachary, as well as his solos song Isäni ääni, but it was Henry's Pub house band that backed them. Tarot hasn't played together since Pecu Cinnari died in 2016. They haven't officially disbanded as far as I know, but they've also said they didn't know if they had the heart to carry on without him, as he was there from the beginning along with the Hietala brothers.

I keep my fingers crossed he will return to Nightwish. He's such a gem. He also won the Finnish Masked Singer. You won't believe the songs he sung on that show. Backstreet Boys and Prince's Kiss. Marko IS a frontman for his own band. And for Tarot as well, which also contains his brother if I'm not mistaken. You can check Wings of Darkness by Tarot, there are 2 versions on TH-cam, old one and newer one.
I always suggest checking both. I actually prefer the older one; the band lineup changed since then, rhythm guitarist replaced by keyboardist. Plus it's just funny to see 20-year-old beardless Marko in spandex and a can's worth of hairspray, gotta love the 80s aesthetic!

The original version of this song didn't have Floor because it was created for a movie in 2007.
Markko and Floor can do anything. He in his 60's and blows most guys out of the water. This is Webley 2015. The visuals and sounds in this concert were very good.... This was for a Finnish movie in 2007.

Marco just turned 55, so don't make him older than he already is. But at this age he needs to watch his health more careful, especially during Covid times due to his throat surgery a few years ago. I still hope that he will return to Nightwish for their next album.

this was the concert where marko wife is audience and marko thinking that he left his wife and divorced and his wife not have any clue. they divorced soon then. thanx to great reaction. absolutely beautiful song. marko hietala was named finish heavy metal face number 1 in other heavy singers and heavy people.

Video quality is just fine, it's more recent than Wacken. But you seem to use the non hd version of it. Usually it's better to view the fullHD version and let OBS downsacale it to the window you capture.
But this is one of may (many) favorites, th e last riff with Troy and Marko is soo good.
