@paintballdude227 have you looked at the GoPro channel lately? there have been about 2 X Games videos every single day. Also how do you know they aren't working on a ton more full edits for each individual sport? Moto guy may not want to watch a 7 minute edit to find his 2 minutes of moto!
@aitkenproductions they are using large lines of gopros which are all in sync. then they are taking the one frame from about 30 camera to get the shot. then they are changing from camera 1 to camera 50 in about 3 seconds.
@samambarr its not an effect, its a process. its a line of go pros on a curved rod. they take photos at the same time, and then they edit the photos together. looks awesome i know!
@aitkenproductions they used maybe 30 or more gopros on a long alu girder or something. It´s called the Matrix effect. Ken block used the same idea in his Ghymka 4 Video. They got a photo of this construction on their FacebookPage ;)
@olafsalomao its a pluggin called twixtor im guessing. you can get it for after effects and final cut, and also vegas i think. it just slows down stuff and creates frames where it needs them. its super cool
@aitkenproductions Take like 20 GoPro camera's, put them together side-by-side and then combine each footage at the right time and make it look 3d like that in After Effects. Or whatever program they use.
@dfcolterjohn it's not shot with A go pro, it is shot with several, they lined up several cameras side by side then took the same frame on all the cameras and mixed them together...
@aitkenproductions The same way they did in 'The Matrix' for those classic shots (Like when Mr. Anderson/Neo and Agent Smith were having the close-range gun fight and jumped towards one another): By setting up 8 or some cameras side-by-side on a fixture, they all shoot the same subject from different angles. Then it's a matter of editing them together to get the 3D effect. Hope that makes sense. /watch?v=_KtghA0rkDY&feature=related
@aitkenproductions pretty simple, just need to get a 20 cameras and put it all in a line, so in the perfect moment shot every camera, but has to be at the same time, so in the video editor take every photo take it be every camera, and put it together to make the effect of movement.
They have a pole with a bunch of GoPros down it and then they edit it so the match up each of the videos at the same time time and just go down the line of them so it looks like the camera stopped time and panned around the guy. I didn't really know how to explain it so if you look it up it is called a timeslice.
@GrenadeFreeVEVO bigger cameras have more options, different zoom variables and have so many options, a gopro is just a helmet cam that can be used as a follow cam and what not, don't get me wrong there great and i have one but the filming industry is just more advanced
@iAnswerMinecraft hahaha shit dude you're right. I was wondering how they got that effect, since it's in a couple of those videos. Thanks for the heads up.

2021 and this video is still amazing
The ending rider who was doing the seat grab has a Odyssey Mike Aitken Seat
@iAnswerMinecraft it's called a matrix cam rig, you film the sequence and the editor picks the correct frame creating a paused panning effect.
@samambarr its not an effect, its a process. its a line of go pros on a curved rod. they take photos at the same time, and then they edit the photos together. looks awesome i know!
i was waiting for this. i love my GoProHD!!

@flyboy6753 theres a bunch of gopros all line up on one device. Then they take a frame from each one, creating that awesome effect!
@aitkenproductions I agree it looks pretty crazy but they do it with a huge bar full of gopros and they take a few frames from each one.
Great video! I love my GoPro to bits...
@aitkenproductions Take like 20 GoPro camera's, put them together side-by-side and then combine each footage at the right time and make it look 3d like that in After Effects. Or whatever program they use.

@aitkenproductions Its the Matrix shooting. Lots of cameras together!
@aitkenproductions They get a whole row of GoPro's, then they all record so when they go to edit the go from camera 1 to Camera X from bottom to top.
@aitkenproductions there are multiple go pro cameras set at the same time
@55freddie55 they use a program called twixtor it creates extra frames so you can do slomos like that
@GrenadeFreeVEVO bigger cameras have more options, different zoom variables and have so many options, a gopro is just a helmet cam that can be used as a follow cam and what not, don't get me wrong there great and i have one but the filming industry is just more advanced
@aitkenproductions its shot with multiple gopro side by side.
How exactly are the GoPro's mounted on the skateboards? Doesn't it make th boards back heavy/unbalanced? Or is the camera removed from it's casing?
Amazing footage!
where they taken in r1, r2, r3, r4 or r5? wich r is the best one for me to edit with slomotion and wich r were this gopro filmed in?
@iAnswerMinecraft

@maxthepwner this sounds like a remix of some sort... the speed and also the begining
@aitkenproductions maybe a strip of them taking pics, because that is how that effect is done.
How did you manage such a nice and smooth, ultra slow motion at the end scene?
Thanks in advance :)

@lacksbro you put it on the widest mode and then zoom in on one area and pan across the screen
