I was always told the C was the designation for the EZStart model but the one I have I purchased new and it never had the EZStart or it never worked. As far as everything else I believe it is all the same.
It is considered a big bore kit because it uses a jug and piston from a ms280 with the bottom end of a ms270. I ordered it from Farmertec. There are state side dealers now so it is easier to get the parts than it was two years ago when I built this saw.
@@shrunkenskulloutdoors sounds good i ordered a piston and cylinder from Farmertec. it ran 38$ but they did not give a delivery date. i wonder how long it will take to get here?
Fantastic job with great commentary.
Thank you
Gotta love farmertec
Yes you do. Almost a full year on it now and runs amazing.
Has this kit held up well?
Have not had one issue with it. I have had better reliability after putting this kit in than from factory new.
Hi watched your rebuild of the ms270 and I was wondering what the difference is to the MS271
The MS271 was just the newer model of the MS270
What is the difference between Stihl ms 270 and 270 C. ?
Whether the same engine parts are suitable ?
