    Looks way better than the '25 facelift V8 hybrid. I bet this version will be highly looked at n a classic especially with this V12. The last true Bentley thats most dealership approve of!

    The other mistake, Bentley has made, is it's ruined a glorious GT by adding batteries. I've nothing against a hybrid, except when it reduces the boot space so horrendously.
    The ability carry a decent amount of luggage was a USP, for me. Now, it's gone from around 360 litres to 260. Less than a Portofino, the same as a DB12, and even slightly less than the Dodici Cilindri. Madness!
    You'd have struggled to get your Jerry Can in the 2025 GTC, which has no boot at all... 134 litres.

      @driven.videos  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's a really interesting insight I hadn't yet thought about. I've not been able to get up close and personal with the new hybrid yet (beyond looking at one from a few paces back), and you're right, for many, the reduced storage could be a stumbling block. Thanks for watching! - John

      they have, the w12 was unique to Bentley. Now it shares that new powertrain with Porsche (not sure if its the same unit in the new Urus SE)

    That little hole that you see on the hinge of the open fuel door, is specifically designed to hold the fuel filler cap as you're filling the tank. You just insert the pointed blue spike on the underside of the filler cap into that holder to keep it from getting fuel on it, or from scratching that beautiful paintwork.

    • @driven.videos
      @driven.videos  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@9fiveb180 yes, I’m very much aware of that but at 06:17am I hadn’t even found the hole to put the coffee in my body yet, let alone a hole to secure the fuel filler cap. 😉 - John

    I used to have an audi a4 avant and it used to hold the range for the first 70 miles as it was using the fuel in the neck of the tank as that doesn’t show on the gauge , only happens when you have brimmed the tank

      @@driven.videos You did a 410 mile challenge in a car that showed you could get a lot more on a full tank. Hypermiling (which you already addressed wasn’t the point of this video) would’ve got you more too. I’d have looked for a destination that wasn’t comfortably within 475 mile range of a full tank. That would’ve been more of a challenge. But each to their own. For every one of me there’ll be 3ppl who bum this video.

    I have the Gen 1 GT speed and i absolutely love the w12 engine, smooth, relentless power, reliable, refined, this is my second w12 having owned a Gen 2 v8, much prefer my w12 and yes it goes without saying its thirsty but what do you expect for a car that can do over 200 mph no wonder Bugatti has the w16 although they are moving on i believe from the W engines, a masterpiece...

    My 2.0 TSI Skoda vrs estate on a full tank only gets 300 on a full tank and if you drive slightly spirited it goes down more that a Bentley Continental GT 6.0
