- The Alvis Car Company is renowned globally as a marque famous for producing prestegious motorcars cars from the 1920s through to the 1960s. In their prime, Alvis was a direct competitor to other luxury British car makers such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley Motors and Jaguar Cars.
When the factory officially closed it's doors and car production ended in 1967, many feared the brand name would soon be forgotten but 30 years later in the 1990s the brand and a number of the cars were revived by a keen local business man - Alan Stote and in 2010, Alan would re-fire the starting pistol for a new production line seeing new Alvis Cars on the road once more.
In this video, John Marcar meets Alan Stote and tours the modern day facility which now produces continuation models of original Alvis designs with an archive of 35,000 original parts.

What a film what a company!
Cor! The heritage, just unbelievable
My name is Steven Alvis and I love these cars
So do we
It doesn't get any better
Splendid!
I first saw a 1932 Alvis at a track day in Australia back in the 1990's. then I saw the next one on the TV show Kingdom. At that point it dawned on me that Alvis did more that made Army truck.
TE-21 convertible in a dark blue or black. Or a TC-21 in light yellow and black. Are dream cars for me.
Great.Would like to learn more about the origins of the continuation company and its connection with the original company.
