I have the Outcast 8s and one of the first upgrades was RPM arms. Ive had nothing but problems with it since i got it and i dont really run it much anymore. Its lost my faith in bringing it home in one piece ever. I havent been, what i would consider, hard on it. I literally have run my DB Pro harder on the same terrain without a break. Maybe this year ill use it more but im not anxious to be carrying it again. Usually ill grab the RC sitting next to it on the shelf and thats the Losi Super Rock Rey. Last break on that was the driveshaft and that was an easy fix. Other than that i cant recall the last time i broke it or what it was i broke and ive very hard on that RC.

I spray wd40 on mi plastic parts never broke plastic part yet very true. I spray my 4 wheelers with wd40 it keeps the plastics from breaking live n learn
I cracked a rear arm and ordered aluminum ones to replace the plastic ones. Definitely has less give in them, tuned some of the wheelie out of it as well. So much more driveable.
Probably doesn't help having those heavy tyres on the end of the a arm's. I broke a arm's on my 8s outcast but not like that it was from landing on one side. I reckon it's the luck of the draw if they snap or not. Nice rig 👍

@@pnwRCMADNESSHey Chris if you’re still looking for a set of exb tires and wheels I have a one run old set that look new still. Only tested some new gearing for about five minutes with them. Went to my beat up badlands right afterwards.
@@endliberalism4305Most all rcs are like that in cold weather. RPM has so much flex that even when cold they still give and flex a ton more than most all factory arms from any company.
Thats why I tell people the truth... These 8s arrma rigs are not tough.. Too damn heavy to be tough...and how does homie not recognize his diff in xmaxx is done lol
Problem is look at the arrma 8s page. For every one that calls out a weakness, there are 5 brand apologists who say learn to drive or never broke that before.
You gonna need the aluminum housing for the diffs. The plastic stock ones will fall apart sooner or later. Those batteries are over priced TBH. I'm using Yowoo 4s 6000mAh 100C batteries and so far so good. Rpm arms would be my choice bud 👍. Your bud sounds like he has stripped diff ring/pinion. Common problem when your diff housing breaks or comes loose
@@AutoBodyEverything I think it's the weight and crazy torque. I believe that the Max 5 and 1100kv or 800kv motors do the same. The bots come loose on the case. I guess check them once in a while.
@@joseCalderon1976 Yup using the stock plastic front and rear diff cases you should use a tiny dab of super glue when you assemble the screws. And on the center diff that uses an aluminum case always use loctite on those four diff screws. Even with a stock system if you run it long enough they will all back out and cause you to strip either the internal spiders or a ring and pinion.
All I could think while watching this was check the xmaxx out 😩 even after he tells him a bunch of time's and is saying dude what did you do. When it's more dude what are you doing 🤔

You can sneeze next to those arms and they break ! Arrma need to sort it out. As you said it’s a heavy beast .
I love how the 8s handles, but the suspension arms break way too easily. I broke one going slow

I had an E-revo that woukd snap arm every time I drove in weather under 40 F , they just sucked until I went RPM

how are the RPM kraton 8S arms compared to the stocks? ever tried them? doing a kraton 8s build right now, and i'm torn between RPM arms and stocks.

What makes the diff cases brake? Falls n crashes or just from power transfer like from castle combo?
