However, it is a moral slap in the face for those who cannot afford these models, or not!

Would love to see a metal test on that chassis. As a machinist I'm with you Kev, thats NOT 7075. Seems a bit more like 6061 to me. Nice to see that bash bar stopped you from doing it in again, and the RPM arms will up the strength even more. BASH ON!!
I am thinking it is annealed 7075, If you have a kiln try turning one into t4 and another into t6 and see if it helps.

What an awesome Fun test session Kev 🤗. Loved the chassis hammer test and longer screw mod. I've ran slightly longer 12.9 grade screws, but didn't think to drill out the bulkhead for 25mm 🍻😎💪👊👊

How to fix a bent chassis:
Step 1: put chassis on upside down
Step 2: do the jump that bent it
The jump will bend it again, but since it’s upside down, it will bend it back into shape!

I got my xmaxx because of you. I broke it i once and. Where I live I couldn’t get the shock cap I needed so I had to buy a whole set of shocks just for the cap. Well worth what I paid. That was the only issue I had sense I got it. Nothings broken and I take it out for a blast 3 times a week sometimes 4 or 5. I take it to work and let everyone try who’s never played with rc cars and haven’t had an issue
Just a warning to people who want to use a drill, running high speed on screws going into plastic can melt the holes and make them unusable if heated too much. Drill at slow speed and you won't melt the plastics. And still is way faster than by hand.
I know this is a year old, but you should always drill metal slow with more pressure.

One of our fellow RC guys has the k8exb , I was completely ready to build one then I just looked at the chassis and knew it was crap and a lie to there customers , very disappointed , thanx for putting it out there , I'll be getting the bracing bar and giving that a try , looks to be very strong

The best Thumbnail I have ever seen!
The metal from the arrma chassis got stretched. So, to make it correct, you have to shrink it. Kinda doesn't ever get right again really. The m2c has extra bracing welded on, makes the stretching kinda difficult(not that Mr. Kev couldn't eff it up, lol). And btw, that metal for the arrma chassis is cheap AF!! Great vid man, thank you!

I agree 💯 Arrma should be making a stronger chassis for the EXB. At least have some sort of reinforcement built into chassis. Something like the Outcast design but even better.

I saw the kraton 8s at my lhs & my jaw dropped. Thing is so freaking huge.
I have machined a boatload of 6061 and 7075. That may be 7075 aluminum, but it is either in an annealed state (not heat treated), or it has been improperly heat treated. Try welding on it and see how it goes. 7075 is like impossible to weld. If it is indeed 7075, maybe you can heat treat it.

No way is that stock chassis 7075, like the way you glued a bolt of each size on front of drawers👍
This makes me distrust Arrma and it is really foul.
There's a difference between machine 7075 aluminum and stamped 7075 aluminum. Arrma uses stamped 7075 and m2c uses machine aluminum. 6061 t6 machined aluminum will be 2xs stronger than stamped 7075 aluminum. Machine aluminum will cost 2xs the amount than machine that's the reason why arrma uses stamped aluminum and race kits uses machine aluminum
