Personally, I think we're forgetting that this is training, and Grievous is known for his brutality, but not just because he hits hard with those sabers, no, he can come to hand-to-hand and just take over any living thing, and even if Dooku is an excellent duellist against someone who is physically stronger than he is, he can be overwhelmed. And if we go back to the training scene in the book The Labyrinth of Evil, Dooku explains to him that he lacks precision (more surgical, because he has the precision of a corker). Once that's done, Grievous resumes training and ends up disarming the guard as Dooku wished, which removed Dooku's doubt about his lack of precision, which means that for Grievous, although he can be precise like Dooku, he finds it more effective to be directly brutal.

Could you do video about Asajj Ventress, her skill, power, abilities and IQ. People sometimes say that she can beat some of the High Council Jedi Masters, others that she is on post JS Cal Kestis level.

Mace is the dude who crushed Grievous lungs causing that iconic cough Mace also with drew from a duel with him when he realized Grievous was beginning to learn Vapad something that would have been too dangerous for him to have as a skill
Force crushing something is literally a dark side move. The longer they fought, the more Windu noticed Grievous was _learning Vapad._ Mace Windu might have been holding his own, but Grievous' lightsaber skill was enough to make the 2nd banana of the _entire _*_JEDI ORDER_* use a dark side technique (say what you want about Windu using a dark side lightsaber form of combat safely in the light)- this man *reached out with a **_DARK SIDE_** technique* to crush his opponent's vital points, just to get him out of the conflict. Edit: Not saying Windu was a Sith, but his willingness to do that _at all_ shows just how much the Clone Wars were beginning to fray nerves, even _(especially)_ among the Jedi Council
@@kingatlanofatlantis3075 that would mean he has a beginner to intermediate knowledge of the other forms. To at least know their strengths and weaknesses?

I love the dueling prowess of Grevous and Dooku. Aside from Sidious and Yoda, there are only 2 duelist in history I'd put above them. Both are easily better duelist than any of those four. Exar Kun and the Hero of Tython. Both perfectly mastered all 7 forms of lightsaber combat. Exar Kun had immense precision and, like Dooku, was built for it. The Hero of Tython was more similar to Grevious. He was powerful and overwhelmed his opponent in his physical strength and strength in the force. Switching from one form to another seamlessly and even using multiple forms at the same time. The Hero of Tython wasn't as precise as Exar Kun but was more precise than even Dooku. Like Dooku, the Hero of Tython was able to beat all of his lighsaber instructors in combat at an early age (7 of them one for each form). He could take on lightsaber weilding foes with only a practice saber. Now, this is my opinion and beliefs. I wholeheartedly welcome others opinions and perspective into this. I just know that with Exar Kun and the Hero of Tython were absolute beasts and monsters when it came to dueling.

With all of that pent-up anger, letting out I could see him possibly beat us just by sheer force of Will. With that said, though any other point in Anakin‘s life where he is fighting like a Jedi I cannot see him beat grievous. Mostly in every point in Anakin‘s life where he’s fighting like a Jedi at least prior to becoming Vader and dying. He is constantly fighting himself. I really do like that you brought up dropping into the zone. Expectantly because most of the questions why did he take down so many? How'd he do it with such little difficulty? Why did he need those 3 advantages in particular. Way did Obi-Wan win against him? Can all be answered by properly understanding that zone. Essentially no jedi was able to put up a real fight cus they never got a chance to get into the fight, they we're already dead or had they're spirits broken. Obi-Wan was never gonna back down, no matter what. This was it, they're chance to end the war. Take down the last real general of the separatists army and force them to negotiate. He was already so deep in the zone he was the one picking the fight.
I was always disappointed at how easily the Jedi masters who confronted Palpetine were so easily killed. There were four of them and three were killed, including Kit Fisto, without any fight at all. I get that Sidious is the big bad, but Fisto specifically was supposed to be a master duelist, yet died incredibly easily.
It arguably makes more sense when you know the REAL reason for why. An OFF-STAGE reason. Because originally the fight was meant to be done by a stunt double for Palpatine, but George Lucas interfered and said the actual actor would do the fighting himself. The stunt double would have known the whole fight scene inside and out and rehearsed all his moves, but this change meant the four other actors had to dumb down their roles in the fight scenes dramatically, making it look like much more of a curb stomp.

I would think he prefers Makashi, but also studied all lightsaber forms inside and out for their weaknesses, strengths, and techniques. I highly doubt Dooku is the type of guy to stop at perfecting one form. It probably just so happens that he prefers the fencing form while incorporating altered techniques from all different forms similar to Vader. Once you deeply understand technique, you can work around any textbook restrictions of a specific style, hence Dooku telling Grevious to not use soley basic attacks alone, and to control the center line. Basically, there is more to combat than just what you do with a blade. It's like a great professional boxer who has a wider proficiency of punches with some being hybrid techniques like having 3 or 4 ways to throw a jab, hook, straight right, or uppercut, and knowing how to set traps, move laterally to avoid certain punches, and change head slots to control and limit what your opponent can throw at you. After that, it's just about timing and patience.

the stupendous wave do you think Count Dooku could have been Supreme Chancellor or Jedi Battle Master how about both what do you think guys the role of those two spots suits him better than Palpatine and dralig also happy New Year the stupendous wave
With how high a pedestal he puts Grievous on, as well as Dooku, if there were so few Jedi, that were powerful enough to not be frightened by Grievous or his speed, brutality, etc. or just use the force to rip him apart, then yes, Sidious wasn’t even needed to take down the order, and rule the Senate. Anakin should’ve taken him out with a ship, as soon as he heard about him, and how many masters he’d killed. I don’t even believe that Anakin wouldn’t have simply defied the council, and went after him immediately.
No, Dooku couldn't be battle master because for that you need to be able to teach all forms of lightsaber combat, which Dooku couldn't do. He only knew Makashi, with which he achieved Mastery.
@@YayoHernandez-b1j I mean I wasn't going to touch on that but as the Chancellor he'd pretty much just reform the Republic, boot the Jedi out of the senate, eliminate corruption and make the entire galaxy pretty much fuckin perfect because before he fell to the dark side he literally just wanted the Jedi to do what was right and not be political, and go and help everyone
I never understood how Grievous was ever a threat to any Jedi above younglings or younger padawans... yeah his multiple blades and extensive combat experience make him verry dangerous in a direct lightsaber duel, but he doesn't have the force so any force user can easily levitate him such that he cant touch the ground, walls or ceiling and he is helpless. The only answer that I have seen to this is oh Grievous is too fast and they wont have time to build up the force, but that's just nonsense as virtually every one of his lightsaber duels has a pause for threats and/or insults before it starts or during the fight. Whole thing just feels like plot armor to make a cool villain that isn't the traditional force user to me.
Machines can always be stronger, always be faster. The only thing stopping Grievous from easily ripping through all of these fleshbags was his organic brain.
Obi-won only beat grievous because mace windo soften him up before SW ep 3 rots. Noticed the generals' breathing in that movie. Mace force crushed grievous' chest weakening him in those SW CW cartoons and making it harder for him to breathe. Mace would have beat grievous ez, grievous ran cause he knew Mace was not scared.
A character like grievous will never be able to shine in a kiddy setting like star wars. You'd need to unleash him in a young adult setting or flat out a mature setting to see what he is really capable of.
Didn’t Ventress defeat Grievous in lightsaber combat during the battle of Dathomir? It was supposed to be a 1v1 but when Grievous saw that he lost he commanded his army to engage Ventress. We also have to remember that Fisto defeated and disarmed him. I think this video is over hyping Grievous. Yes he was a beast but he’s lost to a couple too.
"when you wield the power of the dark side, only one lightsaber is needed" did you just reinforce what i always said: sidious's belief that the sith had grown beyond the need of lightsabers and only used one to "mock the jedi" is totally nonsensical. we should have seen the opposite, as in he's so powerful that he wants to SHOW THEM that, not just boast about it from the safety of the Insidilair, while enjoying a cup of Sith Grey. how 1 sith can defeat multiple jedi with the dark side and no lightsaber, THAT would be a boast, one hell of a victory. nope, we see him in combat twice, 2 uses of lightsaber. there's even more nonsensical bs in the expanded universe than the movies.
In legends Greivous and yoda did dual, yoda jumped and slashed, Greivous mask as a warning lol, when he jumped he went straight through all of Greivous lightsabers perfectly and got a slash right on the top of his mask lol, Greivous never even got to blade lock with yoda, it would be hilarious to see how quick yoda would beat him if he made it up in his mind he was going to kill Greivous
Honestly he better of with the regular sabers they're longer than the dark sabers and therefore will serve him better when it comes to dueling and reflecting gun fire
Why don’t they just pick grievous up and slam him into a wall over and over again 😂😂😂 pmo sometimes seeing Jedi fight him he literally has no force powers
"Grievous has orders from idiots" Not a disagreement, but I don't fear the actions of idiots as much as I fear if their idiocy is in aim of some larger goal.
I was watching videos about real weapons fighting and TH-cam recommended me this. It defies logic how these lightsabers are used in movies. Those blades are made of light and because of that blades are weightless. They hotter than surface of Sun and can cut through bones and flesh without any resistance with simple touch. Because of this wide swings are pointless from offensive side of combat. All it can achieve is to give opponent opening for counterattack. Combat with lightsabers should more look like it is done with rapier. th-cam.com/video/nuiLjpSF8uw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hWNMn3mMdCzy2Po0 basically lightsaber always in front.

In the comics that are canon and in the close wars Grevious was defeated by a few jedi as well as it mentioned that at times Dooku fear him winning at times too so I am sure he could actually beat him at some point.
Sorry, Grievous is a trashcan. All smoke and mirrors. Maybe he can beat a few inexperienced Padawans and use numbers to kill a Jedi or even a Master Jedi, but Grievous, pound for pound, just folds to the Force. He simply has no defense for a simple Force Push.
trye but as detailed here it was more intimidation how he operated but when faced with a Jedi who didn't fear him like Obi Wan Kit Fisto etc he struggled alot more @@JayF2912

the stupendous wave do you think Count Dooku could have been Supreme Chancellor or Jedi Battle Master how about both what do you think guys the role of those two spots suits him better than Palpatine and dralig also happy New Year the stupendous wave
@@JayF2912 so then that leaves the other thing
@@YayoHernandez-b1j I mean I wasn't going to touch on that but as the Chancellor he'd pretty much just reform the Republic, boot the Jedi out of the senate, eliminate corruption and make the entire galaxy pretty much fuckin perfect because before he fell to the dark side he literally just wanted the Jedi to do what was right and not be political, and go and help everyone
@@JayF2912 so yes
Didn't know T-800 learned lightsaber combat.
“Darth Sidious had direct orders from Grievous” I know what you meant but as an audio listener it did confuse me at first
“Darth Sidious had directly ordered Grievous” probably being what was meant to be said
Machines can always be stronger, always be faster. The only thing stopping Grievous from easily ripping through all of these fleshbags was his organic brain.
I really like this
Yoda. Nuff said.
Rady Grievous isn’t force sensitive and Count Dukoo is.
😂I just wanna know who would win between previous and maul. They both lost repeatedly to the same people do I mean it would be a fun "what if?"
Kitt Fisto handled him rather easily
Duku would have not lost to anakin had he not been instructed to
Didnt Mace no dif him as well?
All this to be finished by a blaster 😅...so uncivilized
Don’t forget about Yoda, yoda would destroy grievous in mere seconds if he so chose to
In legends Greivous and yoda did dual, yoda jumped and slashed,
Greivous mask as a warning lol, when he jumped he went straight through all of Greivous lightsabers perfectly and got a slash right on the top of his mask lol, Greivous never even got to blade lock with yoda, it would be hilarious to see how quick yoda would beat him if he made it up in his mind he was going to kill Greivous
@@scottmcmichael319 Dooku did tell him more or less under no circumstances he was to mess with the little green guy...... cause he'd get owned! 😂😂
@@scottmcmichael319 I thot they dueled once in canon?
@@starkillerab1582 not to my knowledge but I could be wrong
well after Dooku dueled Yoda he spoke to Grievous and said you better pray you never face Yoda or it will likely mean your end
He trained grievous
Nice!
But yet Anakin, Vader and Yoda are still better duelists than Dooku 🤔. You can even argue that Maul is up there
Just came to the comments to see if the answer was Dooku or Skoll.
Dude that is paying for commercial isn’t telling you the Truth.
Would like to see grievous use four darksabres at the same time
Honestly he better of with the regular sabers they're longer than the dark sabers and therefore will serve him better when it comes to dueling and reflecting gun fire
Still like to see it but it depends on who he is facing off against@@MastahMeister
@@MastahMeisterthe dark sabers also have a different blade design, it would look goofy as fuck if he tried to spin them
Why don’t they just pick grievous up and slam him into a wall over and over again 😂😂😂 pmo sometimes seeing Jedi fight him he literally has no force powers
"Grievous has orders from idiots"
Not a disagreement, but I don't fear the actions of idiots as much as I fear if their idiocy is in aim of some larger goal.
Dooku no diff
Wait a minute this video isn’t about obi wan
just force push him over and over
no lmao he was literally built to resist that the legs clamp into the ground that ain't gonna work bro
Dooku, is not as good as you think. He was beaten, easily.
Hello there!!
Dooku was better trained. And never needed a super brain.
Captain Tarpals and Fisto easily beat Grievous 😂
169 nice
Day 355 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
Grievous and Vader are comically OP. IRL they would both be pwnd by even an average Jedi padawan but plot armor requires over powered antagonists.
I just found some disgusting news about the acolyte show. The real thing this show is about is a lesbian black nonbinary woman who uses the force. The show was nicknamed “a black haven” because almost every character is a black female. The show shows this lives of LGBTQ Star Wars characters and has scenes with women kissing other women and stuff. The director is an LGBTQ gen z activist herself. This is a disaster I won’t be apart of. Thought everyone should now this before finding out the hard way
wait I'm confused do you hate it becuz you think that lgbtq community is vile or becuz you would rather sexuality exposure stay out of this show or both?
Yo
In the comics that are canon and in the close wars Grevious was defeated by a few jedi as well as it mentioned that at times Dooku fear him winning at times too so I am sure he could actually beat him at some point.
I’d love to a rated r move about his escapades lol
tada
😂😂😂
😂
Sorry, Grievous is a trashcan. All smoke and mirrors. Maybe he can beat a few inexperienced Padawans and use numbers to kill a Jedi or even a Master Jedi, but Grievous, pound for pound, just folds to the Force. He simply has no defense for a simple Force Push.
the wave literally descrbes grievous's defence for a force push
Except he litterally was the most prolific jedi killer of the entire clone wars and killed Jedi like Shaak Ti and Eeth Koth. He wasn't incompetent.
@@JayF2912he didn't kill either of them but he did defeat them
trye but as detailed here it was more intimidation how he operated but when faced with a Jedi who didn't fear him like Obi Wan Kit Fisto etc he struggled alot more @@JayF2912
