I believe the “Noise Gate” is how much and quickly the mic cancels out the noise when you’re not talking into it. It won’t remove the background noise when you’re talking. 👍🏻
Yes I am using the LP Arm. I quite like it, the Podmic is very heavy so you do need to crank the LP arm tight but once you do that it does hold. If you need to move your mic around a lot and change the height it could get a bit annoying. I tend to keep it at the same height so it works well for me.
A lot of this mic are defective. A bunch of them die after some time and a lot others (via USB) keep disconnecting. Have you ever had this problem? This mic is really good, but it has become a nightmare for a lot of people. Really sad!
Hello, a question would the rode pocmid USB work with a USB C to 3.5 jack cable? I have a camera that accepts a 3.5 Jack input and I would like to connect the microphone directly to the camera. Thank you very much for your attention.
Yeah you can! That how I record now, it’s way easier to have the audio in the video file! Only thing is you still need to have it plugged via USB-C on a laptop or computer to power it. Plugging it into a regular charger won’t work 👌
That’s strange I don’t have that issue, have you used the rode connect/central app to set up the Mic? Once you do that the setting should be set when you turn it on!
Love Rode but they never have sales on their products. $199.99 is a bit much for that mic.

The white usb cable grabs viewers' attention, it's too bright for the mic.
Great video! Im grateful for your honesty throughout the video, too! Great job! I will be getting this mic soon hopefully.
Thank you! Yeah it's a great mic in my opinion!
very detailed yet not too technical. Thanks!
Thank you!
Yoo Alex how are you doing man. Been waiting for a new video to drop and you delivered!! Stay safe✌️
Appreciate it, thank you!
Thank you for your effort and honest opinion, much appreciated
Just ordered this mic so I appreciate the basic run down of functionality❤
Glad I could help!
@alex.oneill how do you feel about it canceling out echo, ambient noise, plosives and mouth clicks?
Yeah pretty good, the pop filter is great and then using the rode software you can reduce the background noise even more!
@@alex.oneill excellent, thank you!
What do you think of it and what do you use it for primarily?
Wish Rode made the same windscreen, but a lighter color/gray and sell it for 35.00 for us Podmic users. I still plan on buying this new mic though.
Yeah I’m surprised they haven’t started selling them, seems like easy money for them!
Cool video. I’m getting one of these tomorrow and I’m so excited!
Thanks, yeah it’s great mic 🙌
Great video, glad you’re back!
Nice vid, thinking of upgrading my mic this will probably be my next purchase.
Good video. Would be interesting to know what sort of things you use your setup for. Is it mainly making TH-cam videos or part of your job?
Thank you! Yeah that’s it, making videos and video calls for now.
Are you using an Elgato Wave Arm LP, arent'you? What are your toughts about it? Is it can hold the podmic? Is it sagging?

No I haven’t had any problems with mine. I don’t use it everyday so that might make a difference but mine is still working just fine.
@@alex.oneill Thanks! :D

I have problem with rode mic usb it's when I turn on my PC, the sound is low, and I raise the mic on a daily basis, can you help me with that?

yes I use rode connect
@@alex.oneill
Hmm not sure why it is resetting then, I don't have that issue!
