I have patched my game and when I go into Littlebigplanet 2 I always get the 403 error that I can't connect to the server. I restarted my PS3 and patched it again but I always get the same error. What can I do? I've been on the server for 2 months but today when I joined lbp2 the error occurred
In case you've done everything right and its still not connecting to the servers. log into your beacon account, or make one. Then go to the authentication tab, there will show a psn button just lin k the ps3 to your ps3 and you should be able to connect to the server. Hope this helps. Have fun creating!

@@Buvis__ Have you previously used a different custom server on LBP2? Have you connected to Beacon using RPCN with the same username as PSN? For the first one, you will have to restore the original EBOOT.BIN file (reinstalling the latest patch should be enough to restore it) and patch using the Union Patcher again. For the latter, login to the Beacon website and check Authentication tab if you have pending connections from PSN. If you haven't created the Beacon website account, create it using the /setemail command while connected to Beacon on LBP on RPCS3
Unfortunately the jailbreak is required to play LBP on the custom servers. Unlike other games where you simply need to change the DNS server address on your PS3, these games however have some hard-coded stuff like HTTPS certificate check that just cannot be simply address with a different DNS server alone.
This is so you can be sure you do not activate HEN after signing in to PSN. PSN servers analyze syscalls made on the PS3, so if you don't enable HEN and clear syscalls first, you may end up getting banned pretty quick.
When I plug my USB into my PS3 it says "no applicable update data was found" , i even tried converting my usb to mbr and it still don work, where have i gone wrong
Also check if PS3 detects the USB drive in the first place. If USB device doesn't show up anywhere on XMB (usually on top of Music, Photo, Videos pages) then it doesn't recognize your USB. Could be simple as wrong partition format (needs to be MBR), and wrong file system in a USB drive partition (needs to be FAT32). It could also be that the USB ports on your PS3 may be faulty.
Did you make the sure to clean everything in the browser and enabled autoclose on circle? Also you need to install hybrid firmware first before heading over to HEN Installer, otherwise it won't work.

There was a recent official Sony's firmware update 4.91, essentially blocking current CFWs/PS3HEN from going online. I suggest to wait til 4.91 hybrid firmware/PS3HEN gets released first, only *then* follow the tutorial.

Check if you're using a correct IP address, you can check PS3's address if you go to the Webman setting that I showed in the video, or go to XMB's Settings -> Network Settings -> Network Status

The servers are relatively active, most folk play on RPCS3 but you should be able to find people playing on PS3. Also another note: Dive-in is currently disabled for a foreseeable future since there is an RCE exploit that make your profile bio, level details etc. vulnerable to unauthorized changes, so your best bet currently is to find people from the Discord server and add them to PSN.

The Dive-in feature block doesn't fully 100% prevent that though. There are ways for abusers to join your session either way, which is why as for the time of me typing this comment I strongly recommend setting your privacy settings in-game to deny any join request from strangers (non-friends) and find people to play LBP with through other means.

I patched my copy with the server link, the correct id, and everything. However when I boot up the game, it gives me a 403 error and tells me "failed to sign in."
This is currently happening to me, I was able to successfully install the patch, however I log into LBP and it’s just popping up like before with a 403 error, did you by chance figure it out?
Can you make a tutorial on how to port PS4 moon levels to PS3? It is possible, at least two people have done it already. I also made a suggestion thread about this in the LBPU discord.

@@kubacakagoomba im using the right ip. and this same error code hapenned to me when i used filezilla so i had to use webman MOD to see the game id.
I enabled PS3MAPI, was in Multiman, yet I still got the long error

You need to beat The Gardens (LBP1) or Da Vinci's Hideout (LBP2) first to unlock online features.

You need to open Webman on your PS3 to turn on FTP or install Webman Mod (it's in the Game section) so FTP is active as soon as you enable HEN.

You can jailbreak PS4/PS5 but connecting to PSN will immediately make your account banned, so yeah, not possible there.
