I lost a baby girl, Annabelle, in 2009. I never could deal with the pain of the loss after loosing her. One weekend many years later I gathered around with a group of women. Children and miscarriges were the main subject. The unresolved pain & sadness of loosing my daughter came back to the surface. On Monday morning I needed to get a scan in the hospital and this song was on the radio. It softened me. Back home I looked up the song. The lyrics & video just fit my experience; I always bought yellow roses for Annabelle, just like in the video...
This song helped me to release my pain. It softened the raw reality & gave me the sense I was not alone dealing with it all, because Sinéad could do what I was not able to: facing the pain. If I need to grieve some more, I come back to this video.
It makes me feel at peace with what happened...

This has always been one of my favourite Sinead songs. You can really hear the real emotion in Sinead's voice as it is a very personal song for her. First class. Heartbroken Sinead has gone. I'm sure she's at peace with her son Shane.

I can't stop thinking of her three surviving children - especially her daughter and her youngest son who is only 16yo. They must surely feel unseen and have wondered "Am I not worthy of your love?" Its such a tough situation when a mother is grieving the loss of one child and there are children still living who lost their sibling and lost their mother due to her grief and now due to her death. My heart breaks for them.💔💔💔

Never heard this. It brought back a very special memory. When my daughter was born. She was 9 minutes old and I got to hold her. She reached up and grasped my thumb. Her whole hand was no bigger than my thumbnail. This song brought tears to me.
