Since we're not getting rid of the Model-Y anymore and likely going forward with the Cybertruck, I think we're going to get the rear media screen finally. I know it can be frustrating as a content creator when a company rolls out something new and updated, but that's the game all content creators have to play. Great video! Can you do a ranking of all the rear screens you have reviewed? How does this one compare with Tsportline?
Please keep reviewing these rear screens. They appear to be getting better, but I may jump the gun when they can finally support two simultaneous Bluetooth headphones. Supporting only one is a deal breaker for me. This one almost seems to cover all the bases. I wish I could just purchase a Tesla OEM rear screen that would fit a MY.

Hey Shiva! Thank you for reviewing the new bigger screen. I was actually looking for a bigger one and stumbled across this new screen and your video. I like what I see. My only query is. How would you compare the air flow from the AC vents on this compared to OEM?

But got one question before I purchase, do you think it will work with the rear fridge that goes right under the monitor/screen. I have that installed and not sure if it will work together due to the size coz it extended downwards.

How does the unit update? I installed yesterday and don’t see some of the features mentioned. Like the wallpaper or themes. ALS. The time won’t stay on my time zone and can’t be set manually… otherwise it’s pretty nice.
Does it affect legroom for the middle seat? Looks like it protrudes out further than other screens

I bought this screen and installed it a couple days ago...way better than the one I bought from Hannshow with the top and bottom thin air vents in terms of screen size and clarity. However, I am unable to get the different user interface options to show up like you showed in the video. Holding on the side of the screen does not work. Any ideas why this may be the case? Are there software updates that I am not aware of?
I just purchased. Installation was fine. I could not get the volume to turn up on Bluetooth headset. I did a factory reset and it wiped out most of the apps, including the Bluetooth transmitter. Any ideas on how to get it back to the way it was
The one you reviewed before this is nice since it actually uses the original USB connection so you have full speed charging on both ports unlike these with the bypass that only has 1 full speed port. This has a nice screen and aesthetic. If they can combine these two and use Android 13 like the other being offered would make for a good unit. I have the. Android 13 unit and it works great. It would be ideal to have the adjustable vents and the 2 full power USB ports then a larger screen after.
Keep making such content. People can simply ignore if they don't want to watch it. As a Tech Enthusiast I am very happy to see what you're creating and much excited to see what's new with the tech and what these companies are trying to pack in tiny sections of already high-tech car. It would actually be great if someone could make a screen that actually sits higher. I mean, keep the same vent on the same level, and the screen on top, maybe with folding mechanism of some sort. This would actually be better than even highland implementation. I tried that and the angle is awkward. Looking so far down after 15 mins hurt my neck haha. If they can make it higher it would actually be amazing
How do you connect it to internet? Do you connect it to iPhone hot spot? if so, how? do you connect it to front screen? How? I installed the rear screen but there is no internet connection and can't watch anything in it. Thanks
Installed mine last week, but my question is how do you set the time? I've gone thru the settings but everytime I turn off my car it resets.
Need one with wireless connection to at least 2 headphones for back seat kids. Also would be great if 2 (two) handheld controllers could be connected. What's the deal with no Disney + ?

just installed my screen today. I didn't have to hook up the cable to the passenger seat. It works without connecting it.

Hey Shiva I purchased this product after your review. Apart from the issue of the date and time not being able to be changed, my unit also does not allow you to change the screw view by pushing on the left corner for a few seconds. I have emailed Tes Studio without any replies. This is the second type of screen (Other product different model) that had the date and time issue. It's almost as if the software bug is written by the same company.
Any chance you can help? I already have one product that has ended up n the bin. These products are not cheap.

I just realized that the door and window weather seal is different on the Model Y than it is on the 2022 Model 3. The Model Y seals look no much nice!!! No wonder my Model 3 has wind noise around the windows.

I would like an option to lockout controls of the front seats while keeping the rear seat controls active. That will prevent mischievous passengers from roasting their parents in the front seat...🔥😂

This is the second rear scream I have now pitched, this bigger screen with more functions is great. HOWEVER this is now also the second device where I cannot change the time. It stays on Chinese time, even though I set the time zone for Brisbane Australia. When I go to set the time to the correct time it allows me to change the time but then it defaults back to Beijing time which is 2 hours behind my time. Not good software especially as I like the clock in sleep mode.
This is so frustrating and this product is not cheap.
@Shiva Sapkota Hi . I have this screen but do NOT have the option of "Rear seat sensor (on/off)". I believe the firmware is old. Is it possible to update the firmware? I tried going into settings and do the OTA update but hitting that OTA update button doesn't do anything.
John did you get this resolved? I just bought and installed this 8.66" screen and when I go to the "Rear Seat Sensor" setting it actually is asking me to enter a chinese street number address! Were you able to fix and how? Thanks! Currently I can't use the rear screen without someone in the front seat or leaving a door open so this is kinda an important setting if someone is sitting alone in the back seat.
Be forewarned that if you have any issues with this screen, you're going to be waiting a while for support. Support seems to be out of Hong Kong so 12 hours time difference than U.S.. I've sent multiple emails to them of pictures & video of the problems and a week later I'm still waiting for any actual support.
Does this have dark mode for night?
Yes, you can switch between light and dark mode in the settings. They have different brightness settings for each. Thanks.

@@toddswire9581 You can toggle the switch to adjust the brightness automatically but I don't believe it switches between day and night automatically. That is an easy fix though with software and this company seems to get things patched up quick. Thanks

This is a major security risk. If anyone hacks or has a backdoor to this device, they have control over many security features of your car. I would never connect this device to wifi
UI looks cheap! Doesn’t go well with Tesla’s UI
Will get an instrument cluster before I get one of these. But, warming up to one. Need Child Lock since I’m an occasional Uber driver.
