    Doing live fire like this is intense. I’ve done a live fire exercise for MOUT once during my time in the army and I was wayy too nervous to even move half their speed in the shoot house because I was afraid of accidentally stepping into someone’s line of fire. This just shows how much trust and chemistry these guys have with each other

      After a while, you get used to it. These guys are definitely fast, but it's all about training and getting to know how the guys on your team move. I had my guys do alot of CQB training (since I had prior experience in advanced stuff before the military with LE) and we were at about 80% of these guys speed in the live fire kill houses we did. That extra 20% these guys have is years of first class schooling and courses that we could only dream of attending.
      These guys and the JSOC dudes are Gods, but enough drilling can certainly make your squad way better killing machines than anyone else on the conventional side.

    The best thing about this is that in 99% of room clearing vids on youtube, whether it's regular infantry or SF, they're almost always going really really slow because it's just training and they want to practice doing it all perfect. But these guys are going full speed

      That's because these are hostage rescue tactics. When you have a ticking bomb situation and there are civilians in danger you need to move a lot faster than if it's just bad guys. Other than Delta Force and SEAL Team 6, no American military units train for hostage rescue so they're able to move a lot more slow and deliberately. There's no reason to go this fast unless innocent lives are on the line and if they were training for a non-hostage rescue scenario then you would see them moving slowly, slicing the pie, mirroring corners etc the same way you would see with traditional SOF groups and SWAT teams in other videos.

    • @yeetustheefirst6731
      @yeetustheefirst6731 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      @@philswift1252 Your...wrong Sf trains for Hostage Rescue especially those serving in a Force in extremis capacity. Ranger Regiment has a pretty notable hostage rescue in recent years. Also the whole "ticking bomb" doesnt really fit into HRT. Stop trying to tell people that they are wrong if you dont understand wtf your talking about either.

    • @philswift1252
      @philswift1252 2 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      @@yeetustheefirst6731 I don't mean literal "ticking bomb" I just mean when you have hostages in immediate danger. Yes SF has a few small counter-terror detachments, they are rarely if ever used and the army is in the process of disbanding them because they're almost completely redundant due to Delta Force and DEVGRU's modern response times. I don't think there's actually a single example of any hostage rescue operations by crisis response force elements. As for your claim that Rangers have their own hostage rescue force, that's just not true at all. Rangers regularly act in support of Delta Force operations but again I can't find a single example of army rangers conducting a hostage rescue. They're a light infantry regiment, they have no reason to have that kind of capability. If you can cite any articles that show I'm wrong I'd appreciate it because "white" SOF isn't really my area of expertise.

      There is a training pipeline in place it's a 2 week selection followed by a 36 week operator training course. HRT is a full time job not part time so you can get guys to that level. I am currently in the process of working on a contract to work as a tactical Medic for the FBI, I am from a SOF background (NG SF)and have worked with HRT in the past. The information I'm giving isn't a guess as it has been told to me from the Horses mouth.

      SF selection is a bit different than most the ass whooping is only 3 weeks(before you go to the Q course and actually learn how to be an SF guy) but you have to be right in the mind. I've seen guys be in great shape not get selected because of lack of integrity. The biggest thing is if your thinking about it just do it, it's a lot of time dedicated to that lifestyle training and deployments. SF is the most deployed unit in SOCOM so stay in the gym and get your mind right.

      This is actually incorrect; there is, indeed, a percentage that are fielded from SOF backgrounds, but the FBI has its own internal training and development pipeline; and, accordingly it's not uncommon to see field-operatives with considerable time in-grade, in-role w/ deployments as an intelligence attaché to SOF to eventually attempt HRT selection.

      @Anonymous-wk1jt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is what happens when you don’t make an informed comment. You obviously have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. You didn’t do your research.
      The HRT is an FBI law enforcement unit composed entirely of Special Agents. ALL HRT operators _must_ have at least 3 years of professional experience as a Special Agent within the FBI, or they don’t qualify, no matter if you were DEVGRU, Delta, or anything of that nature.
      Some of them were SOF who joined the FBI after retiring from the military. But that’s just a small portion of them. The rest are all Special Agent with no military background.
      During training, these agents have to undergo rigorous training with MARSOC snipers, attend BUDs (Navy SEALS training) and train with Delta in order to become HRT operators.
      They also work alongside SEALS and Delta units to apprehend criminals overseas with links to complex FBI cases.
      So no, let’s not “stop right there”. You give too little credit to those who worked hard to be agents.
      Take a seat with a unit of HRT operators and ask them what they used to do for a living before being trained by SEAL and Delta personnel. The answers might surprise you, but no more than the fact that the former biologist in the unit can now kick your ass six ways to Sunday.
