  • Classical Pianist Opeth The Drapery Falls Reaction
    Today I will be reacting to Opeth The Drapery Falls. I know many of you love Opeth and some of you have recommended Opath The Drapery Falls from The BlackWater Park album and react to it. Opeth The Drapery Falls piano are not parts are included on this track, especially at the end. Also, Opeth The Drapery Falls acoustic guitar parts give a nice feeling every minute, leaving you wanting more. You can also hear and enjoy a lot of Opeth Harvest acoustic instrumental parts.
    Opeth The Drapery Falls lyrics can be found online or on youtube if you want to read while you listen to the track or you can wait until the end where I read the lyrics and give my 2 senses. Also, this is not an Opeth The Drapery Falls concert, only a recorded mastered track. Enjoy For Opeth The Drapery Falls Reaction!

    I used to walk at fort custer in Michigan. There is a spot in a low land that looks just like the cover of “Blackwater Park.” I thought about taking a picture but decided against it. You have to be there for yourself.

    I'm really enjoying you enjoying one of my favorites of all time, The Martin Lopez Band. Ooops, I mean Opeth. I'm a bassist & drummer, and Lopez is one of those guys I wanna be able play like someday, except he's so many levels above me, well, it's gonna take a while :)

    • @PJAlphaMusic
      @PJAlphaMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Martin Lopez Band? Lol are you trying to start something over here? Hahaha

      @mishterpreshident ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PJAlphaMusic Can't take credit, I saw the joke years ago on another YT thread, but for Martin Mendez, Opeth's bassist. Martin Lopez is a former Opeth drummer, who later co-founded a "supergroup" called SOEN (you might like them a lot). Martin Mendez has been steadfastly with Opeth from the start, but he could easily be center stage of his own band.

    So two different time signatures played at against each other (say 3/4 on 4/4) is polyrythm or polymeter (not sure if there's a difference) and break rythmical heirarchy is syncopation (say dotted eighths on a 4/4 time signature).. i hope i got it right 😂 i get them mixed sometimes. Killer song btw..

    • @PJAlphaMusic
      @PJAlphaMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Polyrythm thank you, you are right. You can Find polyrythms allnover the song, if you cab listen to Chopins scherzo no.1 he uses then right at the begining of the scherzo!

  • @markblaauw4961
    @markblaauw4961 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The most haunting one on this album. You like the rythm changes? Wait til you listen to some stuff on the album Watershed. But first onwards with BP. Nice journey you're in, don't you think?

    • @PJAlphaMusic
      @PJAlphaMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, the musical Influences are very interesting especially the chord progressions. Polyrhythms are very common in Metal Music, However, I am curious to know where are these influences derived from.

    5:17 Classical Pianist Giving You The Finger :D
    It would be nicer to listen if the music was in stereo, now it's in mono. Just a suggestion. :)
    In my opinion, the purpose of the repetitions is that the listener stays in the emotion for a bit longer. The song is a journey and sometimes you need to stop and take in the emotion for a bit. It's a different way to engage the listener than if the interesting transitions happened more often.

    • @PJAlphaMusic
      @PJAlphaMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The older the album, the more repetition I heard in their songs. Newer songs are definitely less repeating.

    • @PJAlphaMusic
      @PJAlphaMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      I see, it seems like it was a very deliberated concept during their oldest albums
