    Thank you for making this video! There are plenty of videos out there that say that the key to successfully managing multiple projects is to be organized, but then they don't elaborate on specifically how to be organized. I appreciate the practical step-by-step guide, as well as the reminder to balance work and personal life.

    I absolutely LOVED this video! Not just the tips, but the before-and-after of your planner when you’re laying it out, and then after you’ve used it! My favorite tip was when you explained how you rank your meetings in terms of participation level (I’m working on integrating this into my own scheduling, so this was right on time!).
    Looking forward to the video on project strategy🧡

      Agreed. The ranking of meetings is great! I also use a note book, but not as organized as Carla's. In general, I find the physicality of writing in a notebook produces better thinking and more memorable recording of activities and obligations.

    Carla, I LOVED your ending which resonated with me when you mentioned the words " immigrant" "first generation" and "holding onto your roots". Overall excellent content on project planning as a project manager. I too am a project manager and constantly learning in the project management space. I look forward to more of your content.

    I've come across very few ideas, after 17 yrs in sales, that have compelled me to log into work at 10pm on a Thursday until now. I'll be up as late as needed getting this system dialed-in to begin tomorrow (Friday). Thank you, just what I was looking for!

      If you work in a position in which you are overloaded with work. Phone rings off the hook all day, have a manager who throws you under the bus to keep the heat off themselves makes the job impossible. I was working 12 hour days 7 days a week and could not keep up. I was fired for not keeping up.

    I would suggest obtaining a professional appointments book with the time increments already labeled (quarter hour or whole hours).
    Since you have an electronic calendar, perhaps it can interface to a billable hours program.
    I would deem it wise to hardcopy any documents taken to the field, except any information that is sensitive or confidential.

    This is great I’ve been looking for a work planner example for me! I’m in an owner’s rep so many different clients and jobs and projects and tasks! I’d love to see how you organize that. Although I saw you just left your job !

    • @carlaaguilarrivera
      @carlaaguilarrivera  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally get it! I've definitely had my share of struggle figuring out a good plan when I have multiple projects and clients at once! I'll try to share something on how I do this - though there's always room for improvement :D Haha the title is a little misleading I quit one position to go to a bigger firm.

    Hi Carla, thanks for the very practical tips on managing your priorities on an analog planner. However how do you manage having to essentially write down (replicate) your digital calendar into the planner? I would assume your schedule changes and having to rewrite those again on paper multiple times is time consuming or perhaps counterproductive?

    Where do you write your meeting notes, and how do you cross reference them? Do you have more pages in your planner to store meeting notes, or do you use a second notebook and cross reference? Thanks!

    • @carlaaguilarrivera
      @carlaaguilarrivera  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Haha - I love this question! I just realized I should have made a video on how I organize my notes along with this one. I have a second notebook and I use OneNote. I cross reference by date, project name and mtg title. I'll make a video :)
