    Even with a good computer, modifiers destroy my fps on the viewport. This addon has saved me, now I can animate without any lag. AWESOME WORK 💚💚💚

    Blender already comes with a built-in modifier called Modifier Tools, which lets you do toggle visibility and apply or delete all modifiers together in one click.

      Thanks. I was reminded of this on twitter :) I've an idea to make this add-on a bit more unique, as I don't want to mirror tools that are already there.

      Would be interesting if if there was a way to tel which modifier are to be disabled to not disable character armature or any other modifier that are required for the preview. Also it would be even better if it could work on the whole project like the simplify tool.

      @ldm  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@leucome Good call. I did a little update that disables the visability on everything but the armature, but having that modifier type as user defined makes more sense. Thanks.

    I wish blender would just and an additional visibility option for modifiers and objects called "simplified," which would hide that thing when the simplify option is checked.

  • @toapyandfriends

    One little tip I don't know if you added this because I just looked at the picture but just in case you should make it so blender's default simplify settings....are also on your addon panel... Then I just got one place that I have to go to...to simplify.... Then you can market it as a "new simplify for blender"...ie its just that's where you go to simplify now cuz it's better!

    What will this do if it gets to an armature modifier or a skin binding modifier?

    I would make the buttons aligntrue so they connect. Then i would also append these settings to the main simplify panel. No need for yet another panel. We are having the same panel war as pre blender 2.80

    version 02 has errors when deactivating it. You forgot to change it to unregister. So now it tries to register again when you want to turn it off

  • @mica4977

    Ram speed is also a factor on overall performance so I suggest taking a look at your own ram speed within the Task manager to see if they're somewhere around 3200mhz which tends to be a common speed for newer memory. If it's much lower do some research on what type of ram you have & whether it (& your motherboard) supports "XMP" profiles in the bios, this feature may not be turned on by default but it allows your ram to run at it's optimal higher speed allowing for much better framerates while animating.

      @dawammardhonansyah6741 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      so, I want to ask a question, the realtime factor in 3D viewport is actually based on which one? is it CPU (multi core or good single core), GPU (based on VRAM or Memory), or RAM (base clock or memory size)
      thank you before

    • @mica4977
      @mica4977 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dawammardhonansyah6741 It would appear to be a mix of all three parts as one lagging behind would bottleneck the abilities of the rest. I don't know the specific details to answer the other questions but imagine it depends on the type of scene and amount of objects/other data being processed. Blender's 3.1 update added the ability for the GPU to render out subdivision modifiers (needs to be enabled) which takes some of the load off the CPU. I can imagine there are other tasks the GPU could be doing that sadly it's not due to it not being implemented yet.

    the shortened links doesn't work for folks like me who use VPNs. didn't figure out the cause for a while... for some reason it accepts the longer form. so I have to adapt links all the time.

      extract from the .zip file and go to preferences in the edit menu. Then click "install" and when the folder explorer shows up find the extracted folder and open it and select the .py file. Click Install add--on. and wait for the list to refresh. In the search bar type in "simpl" and it should show up. the click small box next to the name to enable. Then exit the preferences menu. I hope this helps.

    Thank you for the tip. What make viewport faster, cpu or gpu?

    • @ldm
      @ldm  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the GPU does most of the heavy lifting drawing what's in the viewport, assuming there's no computational overhead, like if you have a simulation running.

    • @higorss
      @higorss 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      blender viewport is mostly cpu based, basically the gpu just get to work when you are rendering something or messing with textures
