love how the handle is traditional styled rather than the standard cold steel plastic junk, its nice when they actually put some effort into getting things right
edit: also if i remember correctly, filipino sword sheaths are split like that, so in an emergency you can just slice the bindings to draw the sword rather than pull the sword out as normal

I was originally going to get a Traditional Filipino Weapons Kris but they are sold out everywhere I looked. The more I looked at the Cold Steel I realized it was very authentic. I’m quite satisfied.
Good point! That being said, I glued the sheath back together and after some in and out, I must say it has come around nicely. Thanks for watching!!!

How big is the handle. Will extra large hands have room?

I measured it at 3 3/4 inches but it feels even longer because of the way the hook is at the end. Feels like 4, inches maybe a bit more. I think you’d be fine. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the review. I ordered one as a birthday present to myself. It should arrive next week. Hopefully, the sheath is a better fit. Disappointing that yours was not so great.

Thank you for watching! Happy Birthday! I hope you love it. The sheath actually has improved quite a bit. I glued the separation back together and did some finish touch up with a furniture marker. The sword goes in and out nicely now. Keep me posted on how it goes! Thanks again

      Scabbard not sheath.

@@poppypicker3863The scabbard seems a little cheap.

I been wanting one of these for a while now. I love the blade but not the sheath, no biggie. How does one shapen such a blade? 🤔 Nice cutting, the blade appeaed to be sharp right out of the box. Very cool 😎

Thanks Man. I saw it on Amazon for a great price and jumped on it.
I’m glad it didn’t need sharpening out of the box like so many blades. I do my fine sharpening with a lansky and they actually make a set of curved honing stones just for blades like this. Also great for karambits.

It's a nice looking sword, but the scabbard looks cheaply made.

I agree. I’ve done a bit of work to make it usable but the leather is pretty cheap and got messed up pretty quickly. Impressed by the sword but definitely not with the scabbard. Thanks for watching!!!
