I have been watching since 2009, I was 19 at the time. I am now 33 and still a major fan! Watching you inspired me to cook. I now have a family and cook for them 😊
I just went to the Korean grocery store this past weekend and they had persimmons like these on sale, but I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them. Of course, Maangchi to the rescue! Can’t wait to try this recipe! Looks delicious!
I love this recipe! It really captures the beauty of tea time. The combination of the stuffed persimmons with rice cakes looks delicious, especially with a warm cup of tea ❤
I love all of your recipes not that I can make them all. But just watching you prepare food is mesmerizing. And the best part is watching you eat. I am sure everyone agrees with me. It makes me want to be right there with you, eat and drink!! You are the hero.
This is so great. As i'm a korean i can say this is never easy to make because it's too difficult and complex process, even each ingredients are difficult to find especially to you if you don't live in korea. Anyway just one thing we can know maangchi did great thing for introducing korean traditional dessert for us. I feel it's amazing. Let's shout out and clap for maangchi
If you wonder the taste i can explain. This is so~ sweet and chewing and crunch inside. Dried persimmon tastes deep persimmon flavor and chewing like natural jelly. Inside things are nutty taste and crunch and sweet like honey. You could ask about the white powder on dried persimmon. that is such like natural sugar powder getting out while persimmon's drying process. its pretty heavy dessert and so sweet so it is gose well with light hot tea not sweet. This is pretty premium dessert in korea so if you invite precious and important guest, you can serve this dessert with hot tea. But as you know this is difficult to make so you can just buy korean traditional dessert store or bakery(maybe in korea^^;)
I bought my mom your cookbook for Christmas and last night we made Korean BBQ, we made a bunch of side dishes such as the Mung bean sprouts and the eggplant and the spinach, and we made your rice recipe and the crispy tofu. The sauce that goes with it was soooo good we used it to dip our meats in it too. Your cookbook and recipes are awesome!! Going to make the vegan kimchi next!!
this is a beautiful dish! i wish i had time this holiday season to make them for my guests. i'll have to be satisfied with watching maangchi eat them on our behalf
Orange marmalade with a little bit of lemon is a good substitute for Yuza tea (sometimes labeled citron tea). Marmalade is sold next to jam and jelly and peanutbutter.
Stunning how easy it is to make such a beautiful sweets! I like all of ingredients, but there is no Korean grocery store in my country so I will try to improvise. 😍 Thank you Maangchu for sharing this great recipe with us, greetings from Serbia ❤

Thanks!
We have such a better word for persimmon... In Slovenia we call it simply 'kaki'! 😊
In Korean we say 감(gam)!
곶감(gotgam) or the Sino-Korean 건시(geonsi) is used specifically for dried persimmons.
@@제정은-f7j tnx so much for sharing! I like 'geonsi' but i dont like fresh 'gotgam' 😊
kaki!
There are the chestnuts... ❤😊
