I commented on your work and then watched your trailer etc and found that you are an expert in sail. I've had interest in sail since I can remember even though being landlocked in central Alberta Canada. I, like your husband have accumulated an extensive library on sail plus I was fortunate enough to have worked as a sailor on Hm Bark Endeavour so I know real and accurate work when I see it. To me, your work is unparalleled. Bravo!!

Yes, the second part will be too! I'm trying to find a real thin glass (2mm - 1/12") because I don't like to use plastic for this! And I'm stuck with it for a while! ((( In Ukraine I used Polish glass for paintings - it gives no glare and is almost invisible - but nothing I can't find anything like this here - especially large sheets...

That type of vessel used to be called a Pink from the French pinque meaning pinched, not pinky meaning little finger. Nice model!

I make my own ropes from 100% polyester. But today you can already find such on sale - some modelers have started to sell them... For example: ropesofscale(dot)com or syrenshipmodelcompany(dot)com
I can imitate nails or make real treenails, depending on the type and period. I can simulate metal nails with CA glue. And for treenails, I can even use toothpicks...
You can write me questions that will bother you - and I will try to help you specifically with your model!

Sorry but the GLAD TIDINGS measurements we're taken in 1937 she boat seams to be older - but is a very nice kit.
This is information I got out of the box. So she can really be older...

Hello Olha,. How many layers of tung oil do you use to apply? I applied 3 of them on a model and then I had ploblems in glueing tiddings on deck
I am mostly satisfied with two layers of oil, but sometimes I also do three. But only when everything is glued on the deck. Because PVA is water-based and it does not stick well to a oild surface...
If you already have such a situation - try to increase the gluing area - for example, put pins from toothpicks...
Can you try to make container ship?
I'm not exactly a fan of modern ships - my passion is the age of sails.
But I can try)))

День добрый, не що давно купив китайський набір Балтиморської Шхуни, але там зовсім немає такілажу. Хочу зібрати її правильно. Якщо вам не складно - підкажіть будь ласка на якому сайті можна знайти цю інформацію, бо досі не знайшов.

Існує чудова книга про Балтіморські кліпери (вони виглядають як шхуни але це все ж кліпери). Baltimore Clipper - Its Origin and Development - Howard Irving Chapelle. Там ви знайдете все про цей тип суден...
