For people suffering from hair loss, I'd strongly recommend a hair transplant. The results from a hair transplant are permanent once the grafts set in, PRP is not and you'll have to do PRP treatments for the rest of your life (which is very costly over time). If you're rich, do both but I imagine most of us here aren't rich. If you're like me and live in America, I'd recommend going to a very good place in Turkey. You could probably do your whole head there for around $4k. I myself got a hair transplant in a neighboring US state almost 4 months ago, and I've already started seeing some good results. I've also been taking Oral Minoxidil and Finasteride to maintain my existing hair.

PRP is part of a maintenance regimen. If we are treating telogen effluvium (shedding of hair that happens after stress like an illness, surgery, or childbirth) sometimes the 5 month regimen is enough to reset the shedding. If we are treating androgenic alopecia (the most common hair loss treated with PRP, this is age and hormonal hair loss) you do the initial 5 month series and then maintenance every 4-6 months because the PRP is working to slow your natural aging process.

Hello, I was hoping you can help me out with a question: I heard that a hair folicle is still alive for a while even after its hair strand has fallen off. Is that true? In case it is true, how much longer will it be eligible for PRP treatment before it is too late and the folicle dies? Example: can the amount of hair that fell off in June due to androgenetic alopecia still be revived if PRP is used in October of the same year? Thank you!
Hello, Clark. In scarring forms of alopecia it is variable as to when the hair follicle is replaced by scar tissue and irretrievable. In androgenetic alopecia, usually we can restimulate growth of existing follicles; the amount of regrowth is determined by age, severity and duration of hair loss, and improved with adjuvant therapies. There is no specific number or time.

Hi Suzette, i’m interested in PRP but trying to gauge what the estimate costs of each session or package comes out to. If you can relay any info and your experience with PRP that would be awesome!
@@jimmykash5217 (2) At the first place, they used an electronic needle machine to inject anesthetic into my scalp. No, it wasn't micro needling, the doctor specifically said it was needed for inject anesthetic. It was excruciatingly painful and traumatic. I was hyperventilating in pain and gnashing my teeth. Afterwards, my skull bone was sore from it in several places for a few days. I KNOW that machine punctured and damaged my skull bone. The irony of this - is that the doctor said he wanted to anesthetic my scalp first, so that the little PRP needles wouldn't hurt my scalp. How do you not get that I still had to experience pain, and MUCH MORE OF IT, from the anesthetic needle machine?! So if they start to use that, speak up and tell them No and do not let them do it.
@@jimmykash5217 (3) Then after he did the traumatic painful anesthetic machine, then the harmless painless tiny little PRP needles, he used a rubberized wand all over my head "to spread around the PRP" on the inside underneath my scalp. That was also painful and very very unpleasant. And the electronic movement of the rubberized wand on my delicate hair RIPPED CHUNKS OF HAIR OUT OF MY SCALP. That is the very last thing someone needs, who is sensitive about hair less and doesn't have very much hair - to get big chunks of hair ripped out. So I learned my lesson about that and never let them use it on my head. Sure enough, at another appointment somewhere else, after the PRP needles, the nurse reached for that rubber wand and said she was going to rub in the injections. I interrupted and her and said that I have had that thing used on my head before, I did not like it, and I WILL NOT BE USING IT TODAY EITHER. So she put it back and didn't use it on my head, because I wouldn't let her. So basically be alert and watch every single thing they do, to make sure you approve of it or not, and block it if you don't. Don't be a doormat at the doctor's office.
(4) The little needles they use to manually inject PRP into my scalp don't hurt me at all. It's not different than getting a vitamin shot in your arm. That part of the appointment doesn't bother or hurt me one bit.
(5) I would recommend to ONLY use product from your own body (PRP or fat), and never use any extra additives. I made the mistake of having the umbilical cord blood product option, mixed in with my own PRP one time. I read all about it, as much info as I could find, to make sure it didn't have anything to do with aborted fetuses. But it still bothered me for a long time. I finally realized that even if it is only cord blood, that is still semi-cannibalism to introduce that into your body. Plus who knows or can tell that the company wasn't lying about not using aborted baby products; those companies can do whatever they want behind closed doors and your wouldn't know it. So I finally had to formally & sincerely repent to God for using that, then never use it again. I wouldn't use the pork products (Acell) additives in the PRP either, because that is unclean to add animal parts into your body.
PRP does improve hair density in frontal and temple regions primarily in cases of androgenic alopecia. Occasionally inflammatory or cicatricial alopecias are more difficult to treat and may need other medical evaluations or interventions.
Hey doctor, I got prp+ acell session today . However he took 8ml of blood and got about 4 ml to be injected . Also he used about 1 ml of acell .so my question isn't the blood he took way too less to be effective?
Usually should draw 20-30 ml of blood after plasma seperation, centrifuge again to get concentrated platelets so we remove supernatant, hardly 3-5 ml PRP we get out of 20-30 ml of blood
while this is effective, does it haave long-term effects or are you required to come in every few weeks to maintain or is it a treatment prcoedure with no after needed?
You will begin to see results 4-6 months after your first procedure and multiple sessions may be required. Touch up treatments may also be necessary. I would schedule a consultation with one of our physicians to determine the best treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Will prp therapy improve hair density in the frontal scalp and temple regions?
PRP does improve hair density in frontal and temple regions primarily in cases of androgenic alopecia. Occasionally inflammatory or cicatricial alopecias are more difficult to treat and may need other medical evaluations or interventions.
is it safe ? no side effects no health probleme ?
its your blood
This is super...is this available in Hyderabad, Telangana, india by any chance...
Unfortunately, we do not have any locations in India but we appreciate your support and interest!
Hi selam nw age factor alew adrasha yete nw wagwes?
Hair FACT is a great product .
How much is the cost per session?
while this is effective, does it haave long-term effects or are you required to come in every few weeks to maintain or is it a treatment prcoedure with no after needed?
You will begin to see results 4-6 months after your first procedure and multiple sessions may be required. Touch up treatments may also be necessary. I would schedule a consultation with one of our physicians to determine the best treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Both are awesome and em beautiful
My question is that wheather prp 2 -3 times works or we have to do it for lifetime?
only 3 or 4 times(one PRP per month),,not lifetime
@@P-Enn what's the cost per ?
@@Sougatax2 I am paying 1600 rs per prp,,and i hve to use minoxidil on daily basis and also vitamin tablets

@@Sougatax2 no no,,it can't be 27000,,it can be 2700,,,they take our blood sample nd process it in centrifuge nd separate the platelets,, that's it,its simple nd easy,,

I have to confess I haven't watched the full video, but I don't think is any use to me. The title includes "for Hair Loss", but it sounds to me it's more "against Hair Loss". I guess click bait is everywhere, nowadays. It's so sad. :(
Is it painful?
vicky no. Honestly the blood draw was worse than the injections

Isn’t PRP different from stem cell therapy? You kept mentioning about the presence of stem cells in PRP.
Occasionally the terms are used interchangeably but you are correct that technically stem cell therapy is different from PRP. Both are autologous biologic interventions but in PRP we are harnessing the growth factors, cytokines and proteins that optimize your body’s ability to heal and regenerate.
@@USDermatologyPartners you can't use those terms interchangeably. There is no stem cell in plasma.
It looks painful
