  • What do Big streamers have that small streamers need? I think it's simple, big streamers found their unique voice, and realised they had a passion for making a certain type of content they were good at. How do you do that though?

    How To Grow On Twitch?
If you want to grow your Twitch stream, it is important to be critical. Being critical isn’t a bad thing, people say, “Oh don’t be so critical of yourself!”.
But there are a lot of things you can control and improve, such as your visuals, audio, and most importantly your content that you’re creating. Watch back your VoD and be honest with yourself, is it up to scratch. Does your mic sound good? Are you engaging? Is it easy to watch and enjoy or is there something that is off-putting? Be honest, push yourself to grow, and become a better entertainer!
Because at the end of the day, the only way you are going to grow your stream is by growing yourself and being critical in a positive way.

What Bitrate And Settings Should I Use For Streaming?
The easiest way to understand bitrate is by calling what it actually is, your upload speed to the Twitch servers.
Now you’ll need a higher bitrate depending on how high quality you want your stream to be, this means 1080p 60 frames per second will need a bitrate of 6000, which roughly equals 6megabits upload speed on your end being taken up
By lowering your resolution and framerate, you can make it a lot easier to stream, for example, if you set your base canvas size to 1920x1080, but change your output to 1280x720 otherwise known as 720p you drop down to only needing a bitrate of 4500 or 4.5megabits.
If you still want 1080, you can even just lower your framerate from 60fps to 30fps and then adjust to 4500bitrate.
For more information visit this Bitrate graph: stream.twitch.tv/
The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like Wild4games and Nutty.

Funny enough, exercise is proven to make the brain work like it should, so the whole "go for a walk!" is probably one of the best pieces of advice you can give a streamer. I'm actually working out regularly nowadays, partly because my health has been in a bad place anyway, but when I found out this concept of exercise it motivated me to stick with it.

Great video. Genuine great advice as mixing and matching ideas to different things can make new ideas and can be appliable for years to come. I know as a viewer who wants to create for fun, I found interest in DougDoug and smaller channels due to things like this. Taking an idea or format I have seen or wasn't at all interested in but applying that to different games or topics that made me way more interested in watching that content.
I myself have even wanted to take those ideas and do something like it with games I play. Escalation can be great and fun here and there but you can only rake it so far. Not everyone can be a Speed (where eventually I feel he'll run out of things to do or burn out because all he does is escalate currently)
Carve out a path with premade tiles. Just shape that path that is uniquely you. And once you are safe enough to make your own tiles, then do so.

A tip similar to the 10k steps rule:
If you’re lazy like me and don’t want to go for a walk, just do something boring. Find a chore that you don’t like doing and you’ll wish you were doing something else. I usually do the dishes, and while I’m doing the dishes I start thinking of ideas for videos because I just don’t want to do the dishes anymore.

Some creators in the Elden Ring and Dark Souls scene have been doing lockout 1vs1 bingo which is always a blast! I’m stealing the idea and working on an adapted version of their programme to fit my game. I steal a lot of editing ideas from a bunch of big creators within my niche, it can sometimes be a dull game to watch so some snappy edits and sound effects every now and then can make it feel 100X more engaging

I've been thinking about this exact thing lately. And already wrote down the creators I want to start 'stealing' from. Mainly for me it's Max Fosh and Ryan Trahan, the mix of silliness from max and the ordinary/attainable challenge ideas from Ryan seems like I could make them work. Now I just gotta come up with actual ideas for videos for that. Great video!

Nope :) I knew people would ignore the concept and only look at the literal examples, so I included talking about Eeowna who took the format of make up reviews and applied them to game reviews.
