Who do you think 92BOB is? While not explicitly said in the video, I'll say here I don't endorse anything blackq did. But his actions are an important part of the story. It is the perfect example of "Don't become a monster when trying to defeat one"
Agreed, even if it is him without definitive prrof blackq and even this video will start a witchhunt for a potentially innocent person. Nadaeo talked to them and said it's fine. That is where this should have all ended.
trying to steal the account was extremely creepy. he knew it wouldn't work too, based on having nothing besides claiming it was his, so he just wanted everyone to see he was trying to do it. very odd behavior
Nah he didn't, that's like highschool type attempts. Game being that old, Im willing to bet there has to be some security exploits that would allow to get a hold of some data related to bobs account. But we will probably never know
@chedisLoL it isn't illegal to dox someone through OSINT, but the moment you go to the length of using links to obtain otherwise NOT public info, you're literally defining phishing. It's a gray area. Either way you won't be punished for it.
Have to agree here, regardless of 92BOB is riolu some of the things blackq attempted to do are very borderlining on breaking ToS, and are highly questionable from a moral standpoint.
@@Vindisify you want to punish someone who tried one phishing attack (against a cheater almost for sure) more, tan you would like to punish a person who cheated in a pro scene for years. You are delusional
@@PumkinVideoslike yeah sure Riolu isn’t a great person and it does seem a little scummy to ban evade but phishing his IP??? And what if Bob is just some dude…
Honestly, I think this topic is getting a little bit out of hand. Trying to dox someone with a fishy link, reaching out to Nadeo trying to delete someones records from the leaderboard although he played them legitimately goes too far imo. Is it Riolu? We don't know - and I don't really care as long as this person keeps playing legit. If it's him, I hope he found joy in whatever he's doing now. But trying to reveal someones identity who clearly wants to stay anonym is a bad move.
@@reed6514 it sure is interesting. also shows that not all disgusting people in trackmania are cheaters. some people in this bubble need to calm down a lot.
@@riceycakezzYes, at least partially. Especially the bit about _"if_ it is Riolu just imagine him sitting in his basement lonely" is inappropriate. There is no proof that it's him, and that's all that matters. Wirtual did draw a direct connection and attacked him personally based on speculation. Despite him possibly not having anything to do with any of this, which is a no-go. Thinking about it, I don't believe that part adds anything to the story whatsoever and should have been left out even if we knew for sure it was Riolu.
Will Blackq face any punishment for breaching Nadeo TOS? Sending someone a fake link to doxx them is disgusting. Think Wirtual should have done better than calling his antics "clever and sneaky", pathetic would better fit.
IP addresses only give out a general location like a country and usually very little else information. That link was probably the least bad method he tried. Matching the country to a confirmed cheater was probably the best bet. He might get banned for trying to say he owned the account but probably not.
While there may be evidence this person is Riolu, I think blackq went too far. At least in this video, I saw no evidence that 92BOB was cheating in any way, other than suspicion.
@@keyboardwarrior7538How has wirtual done that? He just made a video saying that people think it's Riolu. Nothing in this video incites cyber bullying.
Right?????? All I'm thinking is just what if this is just some person who got back into the game because of the publicity of the cheating scandal and now he's getting his account, personal information, and legitimate records messed with all because people think he's a smurf cheater
Besides which... while it wpuld be ideal and the least dishonorable for a previous cheater to own up and then stay public if they want to try again without cheating, in reality.. as long as the records of all players are being subject to anticheat and the same scrutiny, if one of them wanted to make a new account and put it behind them, i dont think a witch hunt is neccesary. Definitely no doxing. The competition is whats important.
Blackq should absolutely be banned. Using the in game messaging service to phish someone AND impersonating someone directly to Nadeo support. What the fuck?
Yeah, what he did was completely unethical. Like Wirt said, don't become a monster trying to take down a monster. We all know Riolu cheated and has been totally unapologetic about it, but trying to doxx and phish someone is crossing a line. I think Nadeo's statement that they confirmed who it was and that "banned players are free to make a new account," along with all of the playstyle similarities and the timing of the account make it pretty obvious that it's Riolu, but we aren't entitled to know who it is. I do wish Nadeo would've permanently banned him, though. If he refuses to even admit he was cheating, much less apologize, that's not someone who should be allowed to exist in the community.
So. the ethical discussion around making another account as Riolu aside. I hope no one condones behavior such as impersonating another player or target phishing them. Its not just unethical but also illegal.
And not a genius like wirtual made it seem like. In the video he's basically endorsing the criminals behavior and then thinks a comment saying I don't endorse it is enough (after he received multiple criticism.) Whyyyyyyyy did he make this video? ¿ He ended up with 0 concrete evidence
@@keyboardwarrior7538Where did he endorse phishing? I watched the video too, and all I saw was a coverage of real events that happened in the TM community. You know it's possible to talk about something without endorsing it, right?
This video should have been centered around the unhinged lengths the community will go to try and reveal the identity of someone who just wants to be anonymous.
You cannot put the blame on the entire community for the actions of a single individual, that's ridiculuos. In reality, while some members of the community were indeed curious as to who 92BOB actually is, it was only one individual (blackq) who crossed the line in trying to determine the answer to that question. For that matter, the TMUF community was shocked to learn of what blackq did and, as a response, he was rightfully outcasted from the community and all his records were also removed by the TM Exchange moderators, while also receiving a perma-ban. Every single community will eventually have some bad apples, though it is important to make the distinction between the majority good apples of the community and the few bad apples giving it a bad name
He posts legit records...why should he be shunned and removed? He showed this game to so many people. I actually got to your channel through him. I don't think he should be punished more but rather encouraged to come back, apologize for his mistakes and continue playing legitimately. With or without an account he is still one of the best.
*14:58** - this part is so unbelievably cringe and self-absorbed.* - "this creates a very haunting picture of him sitting in his apartment spending hours every day trying to reach rank 1 again, perhaps trying to prove something to the community, perhaps just trying to prove something to himself, as a healing project, so that he can finally leave the game behind and move on." ... yeah, OR he just really likes to play a game he has loved for like 15 years and wants to play by himself without being harrassed, doxxed and publicly shamed for years on end
Kinda ignoring the part where he cheated for 10ish years and refused to admit to it. Just about every other cheater came clean, moved on with their lives, and are in a better place. It was his choice to cheat. It was his choice to lie about cheating. Phishing attempts, etc. are of course still wrong and unacceptable. If blackq faces repercussions, good, that's absolutely valid. But don't say riolu is just "some guy who enjoyed the game". And if he's competing at the top of the leaderboard, he's either still cheating, or at best works a job and spends all of his free time on trackmania. Either way, Wirtual's description might not be fair, but it certainly wouldn't be far from the truth.
Holy crap. At first I thought this video was building around Riolu potentially having a redemption. This went a totally different direction than what I expected, and quite frankly unhinged on your parts.
Right ? I was waiting for the moment where Wirtual says it's actually an impostor... but they don't know ? Wth is that thumbnail ? The man has 1M subscribers and he's flagging a potentially innocent person in his thumbnail.
You can’t try to violate an anonymous person’s privacy using a literal phishing attack just because you think they might be a cheater who now plays legit, wtf Edit: guys stop liking the ai-generated comment from the crypto scam account below this 💀 Edit 2: Crypto account’s comment is now gone, W
He recently said he was working on another script. Said he got a lot of creativity back during his break and wrote 4,000 words for it. So maybe we'll get a 2nd vid this year
This one video honestly doesn't really sit that well with me. As long as the account is now playing legitimately - I don't feel like it should really matter who it is, and this really looks more like a witch hunt than anything else.
Exactly this. Riolu's records were all scrubbed and his streaming career ended as a result of the cheating scandal, the dude got his just desserts already. Assuming 92Bob is him (and even if it isn't), then it's really cool that someone achieved that and it has been confirmed as legitimate.
@@midastheunwise2423exactly, and however wrong he was in the way he originally dealt with the whole drama, going and taking first place back anonymously seems almost poetic to me (if this is indeed riolu)… just the way this video is structured gives strange vibes, like wirtual is still salty about the whole drama and wants to get rid of riolu again. We should just give the guy a second chance
the picture he tried to paint of riolu/any random person sitting in a dark room was rather disgusting aswell. Just let the people play games they enjoy, thats what games are for. And yes, I 100% agree that this video is nothing more than a witchhunt that might get others in trouble... not up to the standards of what we are used to from this channel.
Yeah, I mean he certainly shouldn't be harassed. Still pretty gross how Riolu cheated and lied for years, was belligerent towards his accusers, and then just ran when the evidence was too much for him to gaslight his way out of. The fact that Wirt's video is in poor taste, and the fact that BlackQ is an insane person, does not change the facts about Riolu's behavior lol.
This is really bizarre ngl. If anything the guy who publicly tried to social engineer and dox some guy using Trackmania because of some stupid witch hunt should be banned.
Wirtual being so laid back talking about people trying to dox a guy just because he wants to stay anonymous is chilling. This is unnacceptable behavior regardless of who is behind that account, and it should be punished by nadeo. And I hope Wirtual can understand how weird his tone while talking about this is, because it's definitly not behaviors that should be encouraged.
@@aureouss2823 lmao if you think that a pinned comment is enough - why not give it the same exposure by explicitly not condoning it in the video itself? To me it just seems like an obvious attempt from Wirtual at damage control; you'll see that the pinned comment is edited as well.
Maybe admitting someone set up an illegal information privacy violation to try stealing 92BOB’s info isn’t the best thing to announce publicly. Your desire to know who someone is doesn’t supersede their right to anonymity
From what I understand blackq's actions were public knowledge, and he's gotten a lot of backlash prior to this video from people in the community over it, but it was already publicly known blackq did this because blackq posted about it, it's not like it was private info. Wirtual is making a report of what has happened from that point in time, he's well within rights to discuss those events are they did happen. What Wirtual should not have done was call them "clever and sneaky" when talking about creepy, stalker behaviour and possibly ToS breaking actions. While Wirtual didn't participate in the attempt to dox 92BOB he seemed to support or at least be okay with it.
@evoo8214 he literally lied in an email saying it was him and wanted every record deleted. without any definitive proof of who 92bob is. for all we know it could be an innocent guy who's just very talented. and regardless of who he is, since every record is legit, then who cares?
@@derickd6150 Of fucking course this is illegal! Damn. Yes, websites do have the IP address of people. But they have that for the given reason. And they are not allowed to share it to anyone. blackq does not have a legitimate interest and certainly not the consent of the person concerned.
I'm so disappointed that the TM community would go to such lengths to try and potentially break the privacy of some person who just wants to play the game. Since when did presuming innocence died?
I think claiming it was the entire community is incorrect. especially the more serious actions, were done by a single player who people don't agree with.
There were some bad actors, but the community as a whole was justified in their discomfort with the situation. The Trackmania community is very close knit and the top players respect each other very much and enjoy getting to have a sense of camaraderie and/or rivalry with others. It’s strange and unsettling to have someone come out of nowhere, set a bunch of records, and refuse to join the community and interact with everyone. Yeah, I could think of many good reasons why someone wouldn’t want to interact with the Trackmania community, but I think it’s reasonable to be upset that someone doesn’t want to interact with others.
Wirtual. You did great work together with donadigo... - But why dont we just let the past be the past? Riolu wants to play the game? Fine. Let him. Rightfully so - but damn. Especially what blackq did... Like... Really?! Thats "clever" (13:23)?
Didn't expect that the worst "bad guy" in this video was going to be someone other than Riolu... kinda surprised Wirtual doesn't outright disapprove of what blackq did in this video.
yea he should really be ashamed of himself for still having this video public. as of writing this, he's currently livestreaming about how he won the speedrunner award _(an award he btw shouldn't have won since he's not a speedrunner)_ while showing pictures from the event. really awkward vibe in the chat, and there're countless of people asking for him to explain himself while he's smiling and laughing...
@@DylanLCutshall Well I'm watching his stream atm and it doesn't feel awkward to me at all. @@DylanLCutshallWirt is a speed runner. He has records for beating the game blindfolded and many other variations of TMNF. Not to mention trackmania is purely a time trial game in nature, it would be fair to consider it a “speedrunning game.” It’s a game that involves players attempting to shave time off of records that have been previously set by themselves and/or others, the literal definition of speedrunning. With his morals under the microscope, I feel it is fitting to add my opinion on the topics at hand. The video format is meant to be purely a record of events, and not to share an opinion on the topics at hand. He can choose whether or whether not he can use his right to share his opinion since he is a prominent figure in the scene, and is an active player that was effected by the events. All that being said, he has confirmed that he wasn’t supporting the actions of the said player, noting that, “One should not become a monster trying to stop a monster.” I really hope this community would lay off hyperbolic criticism and opinions that leave little room for discussion, as it is an improper and unfair way of getting your ideas out there. I’m sure Wirt doesn’t want to start a war in the trackmania community over his video, and simply tries to get information out to a wide audience. If he truly wanted to support the actions of the problematic user, he would avoid getting the information out to the public. A large majority of his audience don’t even play trackmania, and even those who do aren’t in the loop with a lot of the information that goes out (that would be me 😊). I understand trying to make sure a prominent figure in the community isn’t trying to support actions of a violent nature, but making negative comments strictly off of perceived character comes off as projection, and straight up framing.

Even with the edit to his pinned comment, it could still be reasonably interpreted as him giving a green light or dog whistling for this to happen due to this video still being live and not unlisted for a newer, less endorsing version of blackq’s actions. Nadeo's account banning policy makes sense though from their point of view. You missed the difference. Because cheating is tied to the account instead of the player, there is no history of cheating that exists, according to the policy. So there is no reason a cheater can’t make a new account and continue to cheat. There is no accountability. That is what’s dumb about the policy. That cheaters can continue WITHOUT changing their ways.

6:20 In this screenshot it says that 92BOB’s account was geographically set to Hauts-de-Seine, France. It is very common for French people on the Internet to include the number associated with their home department (a French administrative subdivision) in their username, and the number for Hauts-de-Seine is 92. If this is truly Riolu’s alt account, that would mean that he registered it on a whim in 2008 while having knowledge of French internet username conventions, crafted the account information to corroborate the username by setting it to the right department, and dug it up a decade later to make a silent point. I find this theory highly unlikely.

If it is riolu, and the runs aren't cheated, then hats off to him, he did a comeback. If it is an anonymous player, and he doesn't want to be part of the community, there is no problem with that. It is just about the motivation of the other players and their ego, let's not try to take down a humble person
No, he didnt as he just vanished and lied to everyone else when the drama boomed. If he would said "yes, i cheated" and then do that sheeesh on Bobs account, he literally would became even stronger person in TM world than he ever was. But he just lied to everyone that he is innocent. Its so freakin dissapointing and he shouldnt be praised or anything like that. Just look what Neko did - he admitted immediately, and with time flying he proved to everyone else - even prove to himself that he is capable to be the rank 1 without the cheats.
@@TheRonaldo985 I didn't said that he did something good, obviously cheating and not being responsible of his acts was a pure a-hole move, especially because he was part of the community and built a career out of it, but if he is 92bob and if he didn't cheated, that is still impressive to be in the top spot. Tbh I'd love if 92Bob was just a random guy enjoying the game.

In a nutshell, this video further ostracizes a cheater who is attempting to redeem himself (albeit in an unorthodox way), whilst simultaneously downplaying the extremely immoral and almost certainly illegal act of doxing. I echo everyone else's comments here by saying that doxing is not ok under any circumstances. Blackq's actions here somehow make Riolu's seem petty in comparison. And for what? A video game? Cheating is not cool, but to invade someone's privacy as a mindless act of revenge is not to be treated lightly. Also, not that I would ever defend Riolu's cheating actions, but if 92BOB is him, can we at least respect the effort he is putting in to prove his skill to the community? I can't be the only one who sees it this way? Sorry Wirtual, but the nonchalant tone of this video sets a dangerous precedent. I appreciate you've pinned a comment to clarify your stance on Blackq's actions, but even so, I'd go as far as to create a follow-up video or even re-upload this one with a disclaimer. All this.... and it might not even be Riolu but instead a completely innocent player? Utter fucking madness.
I'm not a fan of this video, it looks like a witchhunt more than anything. Though you do not endorse Blackq actions you still give him publicity. This isn't really about 92BOB but about whether or not Riolu is still playing the game, which is something you seem to view as a bad thing.

This video is insane. First of all the phishing link is out of this world insane and admitting it on TH-cam is hilarious. Secondly, this is a video game guys. Ubisoft already said that the runs aren't cheated so if it is riolu, who cares? He isn't even bragging about doing it without cheats. He is just completely off of the grid. Exactly, first time disliking Wirtual's video as this is just failed attempt to DOX someone. Blackq is an absolute crybaby who isn't able to legitimately achieve better times so he must takedown someone's else time. I really didn't enjoy this video. Even if the account is indeed owned by Riolu, I don't think anything in this video was morally ok. I do not support Riolu's cheating, but enough is enough.
This video adds nothing. Wirtual just comes of as a salty b*tch who will hold a grudge forever and Blackq as a psychopath engaged in a witch hunt. If anyting, this made me sympathetic for riolu since this shows he is truly passionate about his hobby and just wants to enjoy the game by himself. Also, 92Bob has been the most checked player regarding cheating for over 2 years and nothing was ever found. His records are legit until proven otherwise and he obviously doesn't want to interact with the community - so just let him be.
Exactly. Literal invisible witch hunt. Curiosity has its limits and it's getting morbid. Documentary are supposed to be completely neutral but he's throwing salt on a closed wound for no hecking reason.
It's not that Wirtual is even salty, I feel like it's moreso that he's arrogant about being right that Riolu was cheating. He's been milking the joke ever since then which just isn't something you do as someone who was supposedly "really close friends" with that person. Whatever the case, Wirtual doesn't seem to be the patron saint everyone makes him out to be.
This video should've focused on all calling out blackq, not riolu. The riolu drama is pretty dusted at this point, but blackq's actions should be explicitly called out. The lack of perspective in this video is just disappointing.
Can't say I liked this video. Feels like a bit of an asshole thing to do to hound someone who at this point is doing nothing wrong. At the same time as you completely forgot to condemn the action of someone who directly cheated, falsely represented their identity (this might actually be criminal depending on where he is located) and attempted to dox someones information (which may also be criminal). All because they want to stay anonymous. If this is riolu, why not leave him be? Whats wrong with him playing for his own? Why put it down to him "sitting in his his apartment [...] trying to prove something to himself [...] so that he can finally move on" while showing a picture of some sad person sitting alone in front of a TV. I am not defending anything that Riolu did. But this doesn't feel like a useful documentary. This feels vengeful and spiteful.
Cheaters have to deal with the consequences. Especially since Riolu purposefuly lied to the entire community. Or do you want Wirtual to praise him for what he did? In OTB chess, if you get caught cheating, your career is completely over. Should be the same in Trackmania, since it ruins the leaderboard integrity, also it influences honest players' status, viewership and finiancial profits.
@@adomaskuzinas2137sorry this is idiotic. He did very much pay for the cheating. He‘s an outcast, his reputation in shambles. that is punishment enough
@@adomaskuzinas2137 Then make a video about that. Make a video about Nadeo policy. That is absolutely fine. But thats not what Wirual has done here. This is not a video about policy or rules. This is a video that seemingly starts out with the question "The mystery of 92Bob", and end with the conclusion "Riolu is an asshole". The video achieves nothing outside of being a distasteful bashing of Riolu. There is no qualitative content in here. There is no conclusion or call to action. This video is essentially a hate mail to Riolu. Nothing else.
I dont get how you find this “vengefull”. Wirtual didnt really say subjective things apart from 14:58 around-ish. It was a video about the mystery and theory about riolu being that mysterious player. 14:58 was what he thinks about Riolu, which is fair and he hasnt gone too far with the things he said. I would say that Riolu has gone too far lying to everyone and being a jerk to Wirtual even tough he tried to stay civil during the scandal. I have to say i agree with @adomaskuzinas2137
I agree, feels like this is just a spiteful hit at riolu, with absolutely no evidence. Whether it is his or not, why’s it anyone else’s business. Wirtual seems a bit insecure about the whole riolu thing, like riolu owes him something. Just comes across very toxic and out of nature. Big thumbs down for wirtual on this one
maybe bob is just a guy who plays the game because he likes it and dosnt care of interacting with the community.... you know, the simplest solution is most of the time the correct one.
But in our soyboy's mind, it HAS to be Riolu, there is nothing else in his monomaniac mind than Riolu; if it was not Riolu, he would lose all his drive to continue. This is a clear obsession about a self-made arch-nemesis; since the latter has stopped his Evil Plans (namely his only, yet severe, misdemeanor), Wirt has to persuade himself that this random player is his Kira, otherwise he would not have any reason to "live" anymore.
I didn't even know Riolu before Wirtul's video in 2021, because I'm not much into Trackmania. Ending your career like that is really unfortunate. But the analogy of him being in his room and playing Trackmania went too far.
11:45 Sorry, but I have to disagree with you thinking that this is a absurd policy. I mean, even if it is Riolu playing on the 92BOB Account, why should it matter if the records that are being achieved on that account are legit? And BlackQ is acting like a child by wanting a account removed from the leaderboard simply because he can´t live with the possiblity that a former cheater has gotten legit records. He has practically proven that Nadeo´s cheat detection is working, If anything, the person that is BlackQ is the one that should get banned from the game because this video is clear evidence that he is willing to lie to the developers by claiming to be the original owner of another account that he clearly never did own to get records removed out of spite.
BlackQ is a prick, so I'm not trying to defend them at all - but most competitive games would consider the permaban to be against the person, not the account. That is a valid complaint.
@@Lukeno52 There seems to be no evidence what so ever that 92BOB is cheating, so why would, or should, it matter if someone who previously cheated might be playing on that account?

I agree. He's playing legit and crushing it, let the person enjoy the game. They clearly went too far, even if it's Riolu, as long as he's legit it's all good
1. IP grabbing is highly unethical and probably illegal, it's not "clever and sneaky". 2.The only concrete information about 92BOB is his records are legit, and conformed to be a person by Nadeo. Nadeo protecting users privacy is completely fine. 3.This video is highly focused on insinuating 92BOB is Riolu, yet not a single evidence. 4.Painting 92BOB as the cheater, and saying the community "conquered" it is just awful. 5.Skillpoints is a in-game point, not a community leaderboard like other games speedrun, even if 92BOB is Riolu, it is in his every right to upload his records. He shouldn't be banned for it, trackmania is just unique that competitive speedrun leaderboards isn't entirely driven by community. Most you can do is take his name off every community made leaderboard. 6.And now imagining how bad Riolu's life is? What a disgusting take. Entire act is a witch hunt that already crossed the line. This video just add saltiness to it, you're just mad that you can't change Nadeo policies into your favor
Fr. Wirtual is incredibly salty in this video. I feel like the community needs to ban him from participating in events for a while just so he could gain a little empathy.
that last part showing riolu alone in his room grinding world records was completely unnecessary. also this is basically a 17 minute click bait video that could have been 3 seconds long saying: "We don't know"...
Why would it be so bad if it is Riolu? Even if he cheated, like, he's been thoroughly punished for it, loosing basically all his standing and livelihood. There really is no reason it would be bad if he just competed fairly for his own satisfaction again. Like, whoever this is is clearly not interested in interacting with anyone. Trying to "expose" them feels really fucking iffy.
@@sunofabeach9424 Yeah but this isn't the community, it's the game. The TM speedrun community doesn't own trackmania. It's completely legit for someone to play trackmania and ignore the community, as long as they stick to the rules of the game.
@@toboterxp8155 in a perfect world, yes. But sometimes the community takes action. And sometimes, even if this action isn't justified or seems illegal, a company should listen to the community and try to deescalate the situation instead of giving a default company response and turning a blind eye to the issue. It is completely legit by company's rules to cheat for a decade, deny all accusations, get caught in the end, then without so much as an apology just create another account and keep playing. And it is completely understandable that the community disagrees. Keep in mind that cheaters exposure in 2021 was pulled off by the community. The difference is that in 2021 the community succeded. If these accusations weren't true, it would be called a witchhunt and an angry mob would demand an apology from Wirtual personally
Honestly this video is a terrible idea as it could lead to the doxxing of a random trackmania player who was just trying to have fun playing the game anonymously.
@@AfonsoCL not sure I agree completely with the person you asked the question to, but it's probably because he called "clever" the guy who tried identity theft with random dude playing a racing video game
I find it absolutely baffling that the direct mail option, regardless of outcome, wasn't the first option. No, let's attempt to phish into someones account over a game leaderboard. I despise cheaters as much as the next person. As someone who has grinded racing games for many years, I get the frustration of never being near the top .01% because of cheaters. All that effort with less recognition. But man... I never once was so butthurt about it I attempted to impersonate a cheater to get into their accounts. Crazy stuff man.
'Sneaky and clever' because the guy basically use in game chat to fish him. Lmao. Surely lots of people tried to speak with him that way before the 'blackq' dude.
92Bob didn't even cheat is what sticks out to me the most. 😂 This community is quite different isn't it. Even the devs are happy after knowing who it is, what more does the community want lol?
Saying that top trackmania players are happy seeing others doing well at 6:55 and then endorsing a doxxing attempt at 13:24 since you don't know who 92BOB or how he is so good, leading you to the idea that he must be a smurf or a cheat that you then push the idea to your large fanbase. Looks pretty hypocritical to me.
I mean, put simply, some random person does not just come along and take every single record immediately. This is a game series that takes at least a few years to get to the point where you can do that, and that is accounting for prodigies. That being said, it's a video game and that dude is an absolute loser for trying to invade 92BOB's privacy.

what is even the point of this video? that some high rank player "seems" to be riolu? if they want to remain anonymous, they have every right to do so, regardless of if they are a new or already known player. they are not breaking nadeo's rules--whether you think those rules are "good" or not does not justify attempting to phish/dox anyone (or making a video that could potentially start a witch-hunt). very disappointing to see something like this come from one of (if not THE) largest voices in the trackmania community.

I'm a big fan of yours but this video lacks perspective and is an incredibly bad look. Everything up to Nadeo investigation was fine, but everything beyond that is unhinged. The way it's presented is not okay. The entire rest of the video should be focused on how horrible Blackq's actions were. Not some witch hunt into this person. I also don't get the ending of the video. Just because someone doesn't want an online presence/following doesn't mean they're a sad basement dweller as you imply
Ironically, this video is only going to let Riolu know he is generally forgiven by the greater TM Community if he's back to being a beast (legitimately this time). This might just be the video that brings him back 😂
Exactly what I am thinking! These comments make it really clear that Most people would be on his side now again if je comes back. If it actually is him that is.
If this was his way of getting back into the game to prove himself after cheating it’s somewhat respectable. Even though he didn’t apologise, if he does eventually say yup Bob is me and I’m sorry for cheating I think some people would forgive him. I still think it would’ve been a lot better if he had just apologised straight after being caught and hadn’t lied about it
@@yanste3349 I don't think most people would be on his side lol. Riolu handled the cheating situation about as badly as he possibly could have. He cheated multiple WRs, lied about it when accused, trashed his accusers, gaslit his fans, and then when the evidence was too much to continue denying with bald-faced lies he disappeared with no apology or contrition of any kind. The cheating alone is bad enough, but the way Riolu handled it was extra despicable. Look at Neko for an example of how to recover from cheating. He admitted he cheated, apologized, and committed to returning as a legit player. That's respectable. What Riolu did is not. This video being in awful taste doesn't somehow redeem Riolu.
Man I had no idea how much SAO impacted me until that one part with "Riolu" sitting in the dark while it plays "at our parting" from the first season just hit me hard for some reason, I feel bad for him just from that music. In general I think if Riolu is wanting to still play and legitimately be one of the best, then he should be allowed to. Second chances should be a thing if he wants to grow as a person and own up to his mistakes.
Personally, I'd love to see a Riolu comeback, but it can't happen unless he is willing to admit to what he did and apologise. If he just wants to play the game and not interact with the community, fine. The likes of Wirtual and blackq should just leave him be.
As 92 represents the region "Hauts-de-Seine" in France (where the account is located), it makes it clear that the person behind the account has knowledge about it. I don't think a 12 years old german riolu would think that far back in 2008, as you cannot change your ID in trackmania
Riolu insulted Wirtual publicly, so I do understand that Wirtual doesn't like Riolu. But his career is already ruined, so that should be enough. Maybe they had more contact privately, so who knows.
This video does more to show the toxic nature of the Trackmania community than anything else and shows that Wirtual is caught up in it as well. It's really telling with the armchair psychoanalyzing of Riolu in this video. This video assumes it's not worth playing the game at a high level unless you have the community's support. If 92BOB is really Riolu, then it actually shows that cheating was not a factor in what made him a great player. The speed at which he took back the top spot shows that he was as good as he claimed to be. It should be a great story to see a man prove himself, but the Trackmania community will only see it as a good story if they bend the knee first as Neko did.
That’s a really fucking weird take. These guys cheated for years and pushed legitimate records from the top, reaping the rewards and praise. You’re damn right people should be suspicious of any future records. And if someone wants to be part of a community, there’s nothing unreasonable in expecting contrition after cheating and lying like that. I think your creepy opinion that people should feel obliged to warmly welcome back someone without expecting some sense of repentance and change in behaviour is the toxic one.
@@sullenpuffin Riolu would have to apologize and make amends if he wanted to get back into the Trackmania Community, it is also fine and respectable for him to go his own way in exile and start a new account. The real problem is that people in the Trackmania Community don't even want Riolu to play the game if he really is 92BOB. 92BOB has not sought any praise or privilege for his demonstrated success, so he is causing no problem. This is a perfectly fine outcome for a cheater that all parties should agree to.
For all we know, the cheating is just more sophisticated now. Perhaps there’s a way to play in slow motion and still take advantage of improved reaction times, but it’s possible to spoof the controller inputs so that they behave as if being played at normal speed. If (big if) Bob is Riolu, the fact that he’s back at the top in suspicious circumstances is sketchy. I think people deserve a second chance, but also deserve to be treated with a little wariness. But for all I know, Bob is just a random talented player who’d prefer to remain anon. The point I was making is that it’s not unreasonable for the community to expect someone who has cheated to show some respect and pay their dues before being welcomed back. Accusing the community of being toxic for not blindly welcoming cheaters back just creates a place where cheaters will thrive.
@@sullenpuffinbut obviously Bob doesn't want do be part of the community. Dudes just playing the game. It IS unreasonable by the community to except that everyone has to be part of the community. And if you don't want to be part of the community they will start a which hunt.
Surprised you didn't talk talk more about whether 92Bobs's early history lined up with them being Riolu as well, since this clearly isn't a new account that was created after the cheating scandal came out. Seems just as plausible to me that it's just someone who quit playing (or at least uploading records) in 2014 and then was reminded about the game when the cheating drama blew up and started playing again.
92BOB could just have been a chill dude, when he heard about the cheating scandal he just came back to beat the old records. He could’ve had another account where he steadily got better over that long period of time. One thing is certain is that I’m NOT 92BOB, as I only found out about Trackmania 2-3 years ago. I wasn’t even alive in 2008.
I think 92BOB hear about lots of cheated record's got removed and return to game. I played TM when was released, but after grinding for hours without progress I dropped, then return after lot's of records are purged.
You should delete this video. I clicked on this video thinking "If he uploaded a video about 92BOB on his main channel, it must be some actual news about who it is." And part of the way through the video I was convinced you were going to reveal that you got in contact with them and that they were or were not Riolu. The fact that the video did not have any new revelations, and just speculates without showing us any concrete evidence is ridiculous (Maybe some visual examples of his "similar tendecies and habbits" would help). I feel like this video is petty, driven by negative feelings that should be processed and left in the past years ago, and that you are perpetuating a witch hunt for whoever 92BOB is. And that's without going into the ick I think a lot of people in these comments are feeling with how you portrayed Blackq's actions as clever and then how you portrayed "Riolu" in the end as some sad sack for getting to the top of the leaderboards seemingly legitimately. You cannot post a video millions of people will see that spends it's entire time vilifying your theory of who 92BOB is and think that saying "That is just my opinion" and editing your pinned comment will somehow stop people from harrassing 92BOB. I'm genuinely dissapointed in this upload. I don't understand what positive this video will do by existing. I agree. Phishing like that just because you are curious is not ok.

All that being said, he has confirmed that he wasn’t supporting the actions of the said player, noting that, “One should not become a monster trying to stop a monster.”
I really hope this community would lay off hyperbolic criticism and opinions that leave little room for discussion, as it is an improper and unfair way of getting your ideas out there.

Yeah, pretty uncalled for personal attack...I'm guessing Wirtual feels immensely betrayed by Riolu on a personal level, considering it seems like he respected Riolu and viewed him as a friend. I do believe 92Bob is Riolu aswell, and I'm not gonna lie, I LOVE IT
The fact that he got rank 1 whil being 100% legit this time is a great redemption arc in my opinion, I wish he didn't vanished back then and admited his mistake.
That being said, how CRINGE is it for the other guy to try to ERASE those legit records??? Has he never done mistakes himself? Does he know anything about FORGIVING people? Doesn't he thinks that Riolu making thousands every month from streaming and now went back to a "real" more difficult job is a good enough punishment for his mistakes?
Thousands?

13:45 I recognize that youtube link.
Decades of diligent mental focus have made me immune to petty tricks.
You are aware that what's described in this video, if true, could be considered a crime, right? And I don't think you even realized that until reading some of the comments.
Link thing you might be able to explain to court if set up right, but the contacting Nadeo is pure computer fraud. Without single question.
Wirt makes an unknown player seem like a sad loner and suggests he should quit the game. Wtf did I just watch? 😅
correction - wirt made riolu, specifically riolu IF HE is the "unknown player" seem like a sad loner. i know it's hard to watch with your eyes and listen to the words at the same time, but if you really try to pay attention, you might catch what actually happens in the video

Well put, Wirtual's silence about this video doesn't make it any better. He could at least apologize.
Yeah, why should he care wth is riolu doing in his spare time? Hes a grown ass man like wirtual, why is it a bad look if he plays the game?
Why would you be a fan of a cheater who tries to act better by exposing other cheaters?
Yeah I really didn't feel good at the end of the video, 92bob should be left alone whether it's riolu or not.
@@Dalroc Wirtual isn't a cheater, he just made a really bad mistake in this video and should appologize.
People love cheaters
Yes the video felt to me like a plea for Riolu to return publicly
This is a good point, but there is also an option that this account was just bought in 2021 for few dollars by some new non-French user.
Hi, i am French and i live in Bas-Rhin (67) 🤣
I'm 92bob I just don't tell anyone because I'm also selling 92tons of crystal meth every week
I thought other users changed their names to some version of Number+Bob?
You can clearly feel that Wirtual is emotionally connected to Riolu.
He wants to win so badly and make him feel terrible.
Wirtual think he is griffith
@@ragey2214Wirtual think he Griffith and guts when he neither
This whole video is pathetic
Riolu insulted Wirtual publicly, so I do understand that Wirtual doesn't like Riolu. But his career is already ruined, so that should be enough. Maybe they had more contact privately, so who knows.
Cheater vs Cheater lol
@@sullenpuffin well bobs records are not cheated, so is that change in behavior?
And if you don't want to be part of the community they will start a which hunt.
imagine 92bob is just some dude playing TM in his off time unaware of the larger community
I think Wirts disdain for Riolu clouded his judgement a bit here
Surprised you didn't talk talk more about whether 92Bobs's early history lined up with them being Riolu as well, since this clearly isn't a new account that was created after the cheating scandal came out. Seems just as plausible to me that it's just someone who quit playing (or at least uploading records) in 2014 and then was reminded about the game when the cheating drama blew up and started playing again.
And given that nadeo deleted thousands of accounts, it shouldn't be surprising, that a new player could rise the leaderboard relatively quickly
I can confidently say that after this upload if Riolu is 92BOB then I respect him more than you for getting back to the top of the leaderboards legitimately and silently.
This is the best, most nuanced comment I’ve seen on the video so far.
