Just finally getting back into surfing and got one of these in the LIGHTSPEED. Then to go see my FAVORITE SURFER EVER do a review.....holy cow. I got my new favorite board for sure. First test is Waco
Iv’e owned the Uber Xl, good board but in small sub par cond’ really hard to surf, needs 4 sure more push !!!! Have not owned the Pjpro though but seems much more better in small weak surf for sure, would go with Pjpro / Rad ripper in small short as the Lt on the Rad are through continue length of board
@jamesshepard4743 I've got the 5'4 PJ round and love it. Have 5'9 driver 2.0 which I like when it's big. Looking for something that grovels well but has a slightly longer rail line, ideally 5'7 or 5'8 but at 25 - 27 liters.
@@mattclem382 off the top of my head the only models that I can recall around those dimensions / liter range would be the retro ripper, or maybe the V3 rocket
Great review!! Quick question: Do you think a board with a narrow tail then placing the tail pad where the tail block on the back of the pad is almost touching the rail could cause drag? It looks like it should.
Anything that gets wet is creating either lift or drag. Any water on the top of the board is increased drag. It's just a matter of how much. I would trim it a bit.
Sub driver has bower tail and more high performance outline. Puddle jumper pro will work better in smaller softer surf because of the entry and exit rocker

Great review. Love this board. ❤ PJPro is an excellent small wave shortboard that grovels like a champ. Wish it made me surf like Cory!
Love the review. Question: I bought one and would like to know what JJ florence thruster fins you are using? What others would you recommend? Thx
Sorry I meant kolohe andino fins
How much different is the grovel ability between the puddle jumper pro and the uber driver XL? Nice Review!
I would love to know

Haven’t ridden the pro , but the original PJ works very well in small junky surf.

Of all the puddle jumper iterations, you forgot to mention the puddle fish. One of my all time favs.
Legendary man!!! Can you guys let him know he has a tail light out I seen him in ponce and I was to shy to tell him. Thanks Perry
I like the look of this board. If I bought one though I'd probably want a swallow tail. I hope they could do that

What is this board compared to driver 2.0
More of a groveler
Designed for smaller waves
Designed for smaller waves
He gets so much speed and power. Makes it fly
on the fence between the sub driver and this one? what are the main differences between the two?

Great review like always
Great info thx
5ft 6 ??? He is tall as well
5'6" has 26.5 L. He is a tough comparison for height/board length and definitely rides a smaller board than most his size because of his ability.
NICE! Ripping family!
