What happens when you install an EBay ambient light kit

- I show you how this ambient light led kit I got off Ebay is pure junk. I wasted money so hopefully you can learn from my mistake. However, I do have a better quality kit going in on my next video.

I still like this video. Anything you put out I like lol.
One thing I noticed is it is not that kind of fail that you pointed out. When you keep the illumination level low it looks good. I am not a fan of too much and too bright illumination. I have GLA 2021 with Mercedes factory ambient lighting and if you keep it to a low illumination level it looks as good as MB. I bought them for my other car Lexus and they look great. Now I will buy for my GLE.

so after watching this video i decided to buy newest Mercedes Benz with rgb lights in it which is 2019 A class its a same as C class good luck!
I think that's happening because the optic fiber isn't exactly fit in that tube and in point where the fiber touch the tube si more lightly, and where is a higher distance between tube and fiber is more darker. And... the fiber is going up and down in that tube, isn't perfectly straight, and it's looks ugly. I think that El wire is a better option, but you lose the multitude of colors

Its never going to look same as the original mercedes bmw audi interior Lightning those car brands put time and detailing and much more expensive stuff to the car thats why they cost so much but its worth it tho love the german car group brands even tho did not mention opel vw etc but like i said its 30 40 $
Aint going to look same as a original merc interior but still love it as a bmw fan always bmw for me :D
You would be surprised that the ones in the BMW and Mercedes are even cheaper then Ebay but they'll sell it to you for 10x the mark up...

As for the star light kit...I'm not interested. That's pushing it. Ambient light kit is good but starlight is just straight up belongs only on a rollsroyce.

Nahh. I have to install it and make sure it’s 100% good. No point in giving links to a product and find out it doesn’t fit or works right. I rather be the test rabbit so you guys don’t waste money.

What did you do to make the led lights come on whenever you urn your car key switch? I am trying to figure this out with my Chrysler Aspen please help
You have to wire the power supply directly into the fuse board of your car (research this according to your car) watch a video on how to wire to the fuse board. If not then get a cigarette port adapter and when you start the car they’ll come on
or if it doesn't pull too much power you can piggyback off a cigarette lighter, and it will come on when the ignition is on

I would recommend taking high grit sandpaper to the fiber optic line and making it look cloudy. Might have the same issue but worth a shot

for better effect and brightness, you should attach the luminous tips on both ends

It’s okay if you can hide the optic tube and only have the glow of the light shine along your trim...but even the glow of the light is not that strong.
Damn...too bad I can't find the video you made after this one with the actual ambient light kit that was worth buying. Can you provide that link? Does the manufacturer do ambient light kits for other cars besides Mercedes? Thanks!

Very proper review man. They all show that these strips are perfect but they are crap. Im trying to find some high quality led strips for my Jag. I cant understand which new Benzes are using. Im curious
The new benzes are using an OEM-like kit for their cars. It's not universal. I installed an aftermarket version on my 2016 C300 here th-cam.com/video/BzHINSsDBho/w-d-xo.html

I installed an eBay kit on my car and I think the main thing you have to be careful of is just not pressing the tube in too harshly in points. I guess each kit will be different but just wanted to say my kit wasn't anything like this.

I’m pretty sure it will be good. I have it. Just need to install and shoot the video. (Installing is easy. Shooting the video is a pain in the butt)

I noticed with anything to do with interior LED lighting it is better to go expensive. The expensive ones will look like the Mercedes lights. The cheap ones will die quickly and won't have that look that the new Benz's have. But the good kits are really expensive. Like holy crap.

I bought mine today and it did the same thing and it happened because i installed it very poorly and damaged it so be careful when you install it it not the products fault
Lol. Yea it is the products fault. It’s crap quality. I did another video with a better kit (very similar style) and the optic tube is waaaaay better and doesn’t crack as easy.
One thing I learned is don’t got cheap when doing mods ! Cheap = problems and you spent more money at the end

How do you Splice the lights like if you wanna put some on each door but need to add more to the connectors how do you cut to make them fit in the light connector

You can use a 9volt battery.

I have to disagree. There’s tons of parts on my car that’s from eBay. Just like any selling platform, once in awhile you’ll run into crappy parts but I have no hate on eBay and I’ll continue shopping there.

In a Benz get a good system. In mine I had an oracle light system installed. WiFi router in the car also I have a remote excellent.

Bro...it's clearly in the video. Did you not see me take apart the center to get to the cigarette lighter...lol...same tap location like the dynamic side mirror start up lights.
