I like this hud; there are so many on the market and they give almost way to much information displayed on the screen reflection...don't need to be in a starship unless you have one. But nice video, definitely getting one...blessings!!

For the Android screen does the car need to have come with the screen from the factory or can you add it you brought the car with just e regular head unit? Wanted to get one on eBay but seller said it wouldn't work so I went with a Kenwood. Love the Kenwood but would rather go with something original

I really wanted to get this, but it has to be plugged into the OBD II port. I have an Owlcam which is a dash cam that records 24/7 even if the car is off and alerts me if it senses motion, but it needs power which it gets through that port. As much as I’d like to see my speed, making sure I don’t get jacked in the mean streets of Boston is more important. Great video!

Any Advice or input and it cost #35? Also this is minor issue, but I'm wondering even watching your video twice now, is there a place that works best that doesn't show that shadow double layer image on the glass? or does the screen take care of that when placed on the windshield??? Actually, I figured it out! You just have to take out the trim piece when you open your door that’s on the left, it looks pretty big but if you pull hard enough you should be able to just have it pop off and then you just hide the wires inside before popping it back in. I recommend tucking the wires along the velvet door seal which is done easily by just pulling a little and using that to see the trim piece you need to pull back.

Cool to have but this one is just too ugly. And nowadays most European car have it as option, even cheaper brand like Peugeot or Opel.

Sorry, looks like a silly add-on.

5 years old reply, but I just wanted to make sure and say that, the OBD port should be used only for diagnostic purpose, it is not made to deliver constant power anytime the vehicle is on.

Thanks but I’ve had that on my car for years with no issues. And then on my w205 Benz, I have my aftermarket ambient kit plugged into my OBD2 port at all times for 5 years with zero issues. Pretty sure manufacturers know what they are doing when they design their ports so it’s not so sensitive. They know aftermarket parts will be plugged into it since there’s so many parts on the market that continuously uses the OBD2. (And I’m not talking quick plug in readers or tunes).
