These are honestly some of my all time favorite trailers as well! I remember loosing my shit when the Halo 3 trailer dropped and the Hellgate London trailer was so good i bought my best mate a copy of the game for his birthday based on the trailer alone 😜. But nothing.... nothing comes close to the Final Fantasy XIV trailer. It brought cinematic storytelling via trailers to the next level. The music, the action and fuck me the ending.... wow

Oh yeah, that Trailer from Dead Island brought tears to my eyes the first time I saw it. So cleverly made and heart-wrenching!
Hellgate London I actually kind of loved to play. It was cool seeing these destroyed places that actually exist...

Thanks man, I really appreciate that! Final Fantasy Flames of Truth is the one that bought a tear to my eye, but I think all of them show that gaming trailers really aren't what they used to be. That Dead Island one blindsides you like a ton of bricks!

Yeah it's a popular one for absolute sure, I often hear it come up and the animation was nuts for its time. I was studying 3D animation at the time and I remember my classmates going postal over it haha. But (I'm sorry to say) I personally didn't vibe with it if I'm honest, I always felt they could have hinted at Bolvar's backstory to add some depth to the trailer considering the 3:30 run time, and no memorable music beyond some haunting vocals at the beginning is a pretty major deal breaker for me! Having said that, when I do a Part 2 it is definitely in the list for the quality of the production alone, not to mention the hype it generated!
