Yet to come was written before they announce their break before enlisting in the military it’s a song for ARMY that states that they’ve been through 10 yrs together with us and they are looking forward to when they return. The song has alot of references to past mv’s so if you don’t know their lore you wouldn’t understand it.
Yes, it’s a reassuring/optimistic song with a very nostalgic music video, like a video montage of moments from your class’ previous school years you might see playing at your graduation. It’s end-of-an-era emotional. Every prop and most of the guys’ gestures (like covering one another’s eyes) are straight callbacks to “iconic” moments in previous music videos and/or choreographies. Others like the last shot are a reimagining of more than one song/MV (in this case, the bus from their debut No More Dream plus the guys’ placement/postures from their “queen” song Spring Day, which has not left the Korean music charts since its release in 2017 - that’s 7 years and counting!).
What your friend forgot to tell you is that hiatus is forced because of the obligatory military service in South Korea. They all went into the military one by one. First one is coming out mid this year, last one is back in 2025. Then they'll rejoin BTS. They have been talking about their longevity, and part of it is allowing each other to do solo projects while still being BTS and pretty much aging gracefully. 😂💜💜💜
Forced isn’t the right word. All of the members have said that they will serve even though the Korean government practically begged them not to and told them that what they’ve done was enough. It was by choice.
@@_.hybrids._1680yes they decided that they didn’t want to be an exception from the law that every able bodied man has to serve, but as I’m informed there’s no law that actually did exempt them from the duty. Who from the government begged them? That’s news to me. We had mandatory military service in my country as well until a few years ago and there’s no way you can not go without getting problems .
There’s sooooo many things in Yet To Come that are references to videos from their history and past. Like the bus from their first video, the train from Spring Day, etc. It was meant as cloning the first chapter of their career as a group. The second chapter will open once they are all out of the military and reunited. It was sad and reflective. But meant to reassure ARMY that the best is yet to come.
All 7 are serving mandatory military service. All 7 will reconvene in June 2025. Jin the oldest and who went in first will complete his service this June and JHorpe in October of this year too. Army obviously anticipating their return. Hope you continue w your BTS journey. Thank you. 💜
The props used in this one are all nods back to past video's and songs. The carousel with 'you never walk alone' is from the mv for Spring Day. This song and in particular the MV has a hella deep meaning. It's been on the charts in Korea for SEVEN years now, never once leaving them! It's a deep dive song for sure and has to include an explanation video to get the true meaning behind the symbology of the MV. If you do it I highly recommend Italian Army's explanation.(There's a links in it back to Anfield, Liverpool and Hillsborough in it). The yellow school bus is from their debut song No More Dream MV. If you prefer rap I highly recommend Tear live at at Wembley Stadium. It's a rapline only song and was amazing to see in person. If you want hype try Fire, Not Today, Idol or On. Idol MV is crazy nuts for the visuals. Early BTS is more hip hop and rap centric with a darker grungier sound that appeals to my metal loving heart. Sorry for the essay lads, I love sharing info about BTS it's so fascinating to see others learn how deep so many of their lyrics and art go.
I recommend watching the Live of Mic Drop followed by "RUN BTS" at the Busan concert 10/15/22. There is no MV for Run BTS (not to be confused with their song "Run"). I think you both might like the energy of RUN BTS though. This was the first and likely the last time they ever performed that particular song. Also, just FYI, please pronounce the "J" in Jung Kook's name. It isn't said with a "Y" sound. Thank you for the reaction. Hope you do continue on the BTS journey. They are the Best and led the way for many other groups.
I could write an entire essay on the metaphors, symbolism, and deeper meaning in the Fake Love music video. That’s why channels like Bookish Theories and DKDK TV Do explanation videos for BTS music videos because in order to understand BTS’ music as they wrote it you would need a degree in literature, psychology, history, politics, and physics. As well as a fluent understanding of Korean to catch all the word play and double meanings. Luckily those channels explain it to us regular people. Yet To Come is literally the very last BTS song I would show to a newbie because that song is just for die hard ARMYs that have been with the band for awhile and would catch all of the references to their other songs, and inside stories. A better choice would have been one of the other songs from that album, either Run BTS or Born Singer. Either of those have more rapping and are more aggressive.
On the other hand, even if they don't catch all the callbacks, Yet to Come has great messaging, and if they know the group is on "hiatus" they might better understand the commitment to getting back together after military service. Meanwhile, plenty have clued them in that it is FILLED with callbacks, which might inspire a deeper look at older MVs. This was a great start.
Mic Drop is a direct response to their haters (guys in hoods). Seriously, they get hate from all directions, and they're sick of it. Silver spoon/golden spoon are about social classes. The cars blowing up are real. The English speaker is the tall guy who came out of the ambulance. RM is the leader of the group and the main rapper (though personally I like Suga/Agust D better). By now, Feb '24, all of them have gotten to speaking English. I love this song.
Some songs you may like…….. Most of these are aimed at haters or people who have put shit on them in the past or alternatively they are raw and honest (a lot of Agust D songs) 💜 RM - Joke (the video by Leeha Park is the best and has Eng subs, but be prepared for it cause it’s insane)… Agust D (Suga) - basically anything by him - Agust D, Huh, Burn it, The Last, The trilogy of Daechwita, Hageum & Amygdala… J-Hope - More & Arson… The Rap Line - Cypher pt 1, 2, 3 & 4, Ugh, Outro Tear… 💜💜💜 BTS is extremely diverse with their music and cover a lot of genres 💜
This is from the Love Yourself set of album and explores self love. Learning to accept and love yourself first because if you can't do that you can't love other's it's just Fake love.
I love Led Zeppelin and The Beatles both equally but to compare to the 2 is just not possible. BTS are their own genre and create much different art from most K-pop. There is room for liking it all. Fake Love-The snickers bars are from a thing called the Bangtan Universe(BU), which is a storyline that runs through years of their videos. Spolier His mother abandons him and leaves him with a candy bar. So he sees it as a substitute for love. I wish you had shown him the song Run BTS the live, for him to really see what they are about. He likes more rock songs. Yet To Come was written for fans. And they are even better live. Everything in that video is a throw back to earlier works and mvs. 😂 Their very first video they entered on a bus, now they are leaving us on a bus. You were not looking too much into it you nailed it. They have to leave for 2 years to serve in the military and leave the fans with a desert. They are not splitting up. They reunite in 2025 😘🫰🏻🫶🏻💜 I would recommend watching the Busan concert video of Mic Drop and Run BTS. It's just a 2 song video. It has the live band.
On is the best in Grand Central Station in NYC. That is the first one I watched then got hooked for BTS!! They truly are the BEst all around watch their Wimbledon Concert. They give this energy to all their live concerts. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Yet to Come is a nostalgia trip. Sort of a closing for their first chapter as they enter the next one after their military enlistment. So all the symbols there were objects from past songs and eras. It's hard for beginners to appreciate the songs without knowing the past because as most have already mentioned there is an interconnection between all their songs. Explanations are provided by the OGs and old time armys would know what the significance of each slide means. You will be kind of astounded by the amount of nostalgia put into this mv. Starting from No More Dream where the yellow bus is, the angel with black wings from Black Swan, the train from Spring Day, the gas pump from I Need You. It is really a long trip , a long journey for you but a good journey because I have not seen a band put this much introspection into their projects. This barely touching the tip of the iceberg if I may say so.
Hi guys if you truly want to understand why BTS have millions of fans in Army whatch all their live concerts. Thanks for your comments. A French Army member old enough to be their grandmother who was always fan of MJ and Freddy Mercury Queen.❤❤❤
Its a good reference though, but its better to react about Introduction to BTS from XCeleste, its a narrative docu unlike w/Taylor you need to do a lot of reading. But its up to you guys, whatever fits you. Borahae...💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Korea actually has mandatory military conscription. All seven members are actually serving their time in various ways/branches. They are required to serve between 18 and 21 months total. Jin was the first to go as he is the oldest. He is actually on his 13-14th month and should be home in June 2024. They staggered their enlistment dates for various reasons. They have all produced some sort of music, whether it be a single, a mini album, or a full blown album, along with a multitude of different promotions before leaving. They have created so much content so far that we (ARMY) haven't been long without something new to watch or look forward to. 💜
I think you should check out BTS performing Dionysus live at Mama 2019. It’s their “rock/hip hop” song. Watch the dance practice video of Run BTS cuz it’s their last high energy song before enlistment. And you will see they are the God’s of Dance for hip hop. Good luck on your journey. I like stray Kidz too but BTS dabbles in so many genres that there is a song for any mood vs. stray kidz
Check out the entire production of MMA 2019. It's 40 min long. Critique one part at a time if you have to, but separating a piece of it is like watching one act of a play. All the other groups you are mentioning are followers of BTS. BTS put vocalists with rappers, created music and presentation that others strive for, have the seven most talented men. They have 235 songs before hiatus, and about 100 solos. They write and produce their own. I've tried k-pop, it doesn't work for me. It's not rich and deep and varied. If you like rap, watch Agust D's trilogy, in order, Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala.
Actually, Yet to come was released on their Anthology album on June 10, 2022, along with For Youth, and RUN BTS, as the new tracks on their 3 cd album. They scaled back from group work and focused on solo projects, but they actually continued with some group activities, and they held a free concert in BUSAN, at ASIAD Stadium, on October 15, 2022. Jin is the oldest member and the first to enlist on after releasing his solo single "The Astronaut" on October 28, 2022. He actually enlisted on December 13, 2022. So his discharge date is in a few months, on June 12, 2024. All the members have since completed their solo work and enlisted for their mandatory service by December 12, 2023. They will all be discharged and back together as a group in June of 2025. They renewed their contract before enlisting in the military. This song was written for ARMY, so if you don't know the lore, you won't understand. It references "The Most Beautiful Moment of Life" which is one of their best ERA's, and they are actually preparing for the 10th anniversary of That album release, in 2025. It's a special ERA for BTS and ARMY. I have found that there are a lot of people that react to it that are not as fond of it as ARMY. The call back to their previous videos, and the school bus was their debut song "No More Dream" in 2013. Anyway, they did get a Grammy nomination for this song, for best Music Video. But they have gotten 5 Grammy nominations so far and no win yet. This year there was not one nomination for anything., So disappointing. I think MIC Drop, the recorded version had a dance break in it. I noticed that. I do like that version as well. I also think that BTS are amazing actors. I will say that the Designer remix was disappointing, because he didn't add anything to the song, and it actually loses meaning when an artist comes on the track and didn't do the assignment. BTS have meaning and messages in their songs, and I've heard 2 remixes that did not follow the theme from Western artists. They just added their own verse that didn't' mean anything. This song is a clear message to their haters. Also, comparing groups is NOT a good idea. Please don't. You are guaranteed to get negative comments if you do. It's not worth it.
I’m with everyone else….live performances are the best!!! Any live performance, they are absolute masters of performing live. Although if you watch performances done during the pandemic they do not have the audience they would normally have.
There are so many references to their other MV in Yet to Come to show heir journey so far. 😊 When you watch more, you’ll see and really appreciate this. He noticed the Never Walk Alone on the rusted Ferris wheel probably from the football (soccer) incident! If you haven’t watched Spring Day, you should give it a check along with the explanation by the Italian ARMY. Also, Mic drop is a harder, faster song, but, in my opinion they have others even harder. That’s only my opinion though. They did do a song called Take Two while some of them were already in he military just to make sure ARMY had so much to listen to. They truly care about their fans. It’s like a big family! Thank you for all your hard work and introducing your friend to some different styles of music! 😊💜
@@maryhduke2307 *Sewol ferry tragedy, but as they were directed to watch the explanation from Italian ARMY they would have learned that, as well as Italian ARMY discussed parallels with the soccer tragedy in that video also.
The MIC drop red room where SUGA is rapping and you see two members fly up and out was filmed with Jimin and Jungkook being pulled up and out by bungees. There is a behind the scenes about it, and they had a blast. In Fake Love, the scene where the floor falls away is real, and Jungkook was tethered and ran as the floors fell away. I enjoyed your reaction. You really pay attention and comment well. Enjoy your dive into BTS.
What do you mean they weren't feeling it? Yet to come is the song with the most feeling. Very nostalgic and reminising. Also it was an incredibly sad moment for them to have to say goodbye to us for a little while.
Hi guys. I will be posting an updated bts guide soon as we don't have one. Im already done with all the members and i just have to put the subtitles and edit the last part. It will probably be posted by next week. Can't wait to show it to you all cuz i worked a lot on it for a couple of months. It will be really helpful if you could spread this word out and let more ppl know 💜 tysm
@@WonderingWildWanderingRose oh heyy sure! I've been trying to comment with links here but my comments keep getting deleted. I'll try again once the premiere for the guide starts today. Thank you!!
Fake Love is very Evanescence. They are serving mandatory military service. So the angst comes from this not being their choice. Re Mic drop - Ugh! Is solid in that arena. Fake Love veign is Black Swan.
I love Fake Love, I used to sing it on top of my lungs when I go driving 😆 But it’s a good song to demonstrate how deep the lyrics/message could be, more than the song title may imply. Mic Drop was my jam in the car too, like on my daily work commute. Too bad my car with the good stereo is gone, so I so badly want a new car 😩 lol. Just so you know, groups that debut later or came out after BTS actually look up to BTS. They are most likely influenced and inspired by them, because how they’ve already became legends years ago. That includes the ones you mentioned. Kind of like how artists are inspired by Michael Jackson or the Beatles, you know what I mean? So whenever I hear someone say BTS song, music video, and content is like [insert younger group], it’s really the other way around. There’s nothing wrong with that, because BTS themselves credit and honor who inspired them, like Michael Jackson among other legends.
Hello from London! I love when people discover BTS. The group is so unique, they blend so many genres of music that it's hard to classify them. It was my first time time liking rap and hip-hop music! They just hit different. Can't wait to see where you go next. I also recommend checking out the guide to BTS, the Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. It a long one and a lot of reading but you'll get a better understanding of the group. Have a good one! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Gosh there really are all different types of fans - the only song I would have picked to show a newbie was Mic Drop. All the others are imo kinda strange choices to use to intro BTS to someone... Yet to Come for example is a fan song used to promise ARMY that they'll be back and the splashes of colour in the video are actually all iconic images from different songs during their career to date. Also they didn't take a break to wander off and perform solo music - they were forced to take a break as they all have to do mandatory military service for 18 to 21 months in South Korea and Hybe made them stagger it over 3 years encouraging each member to release solo material as BTS is not BTS without all 7 members. Jin will return in June '24 while the last member Suga will return at the end of June '25. I hope you continue your BTS discovery and as a rule of thumb any song not in Korean is not written by BTS themselves and they are generally not as representative of their music as their own tracks...
"Doing their own thing at the moment" 🤣🤣 Yeah, as much as anyone can "do their own thing" during military service! 🤣🤣🤣 It's ok, you can't know what you don't know. I appreciated how you were sharing with your friend. Great songs. I really enjoyed the reactions 💜💜🖖
Hello,If you like Rap, listen to the RAP LINE of BTS, RM ❤ (the leader of BTS), Suga and JHope: The Ciphers from 1 to 4, UGH, Daeng. . And in his solo songs: RM= Joke,Do you,Persona, Monster, Throw away (this is almost rap metal😅)... SUGA:,Daechwita and Haewgeum JHOPE: More and Arson If you like rap, this trio is unstoppable.😊
Much of the fake love MV is part of the bangtan universe that runs from their 2015 track I need you to this and possibly film out The BU is a complex of MV’s, short films, books and a web game …. And v deep and v confusing but the great thing is that you can enjoy the music Without knowing much about the universe… The yet to come MV contains many many Easter eggs and callbacks to there discography (Inc the Bu again lol): most of all to the song spring day (called the queen) which has been continuously on Korean charts since the day it was released in 2017… Actually higher energy than mic drop???? Run BTS live from the yet to come free concert in Busan Look for the video w captions And it’s super worth watching the dance practice video at the same time Highly recommended💜
Yet to Come is one of my less fav songs also but it drips with meaning with the callback visuals in the video and the circumstances around military service.
In the app to come video, and all of their videos, for the most part, there's always odes to previous videos. Yet to come, however, is an ode to a multitude of videos throughout the last 10 years. The video itself in the song or saying, although we had a great 10 years that were absolutely amazing in our best so far, what's yet to come will be the greatest. It takes two is actually the most recent group song, but there are a multitude of solo songs between yet to come, and they're enlistment. I really hope you guys take time and react to all of it. I truly enjoy your honest and genuine reactions. I think it's great that you both like BTS and straight kids. Anyone that tells you it's wrong to like another group is insane. So, although you probably will be attacked by some, still continue to be yourself true selves please. 💜💜💜 although I am army through and through, I also appreciate stray kids and other groups. I would absolutely cheer on both 100% of the time unless they're up against each other. 😉
Yet to come is riddled with Easter eggs for Army, it’s packed with references to previous mv’s. It was made specifically for Army. To be honest Steve Aoki’s remix barely differs from the original, there’s a little more English in it. The reason they’re taking a break from group activities is because they’re doing their mandatory military service in South Korea. I reckon you’d both enjoy watching Hobi headlining at Lollapalooza. It was freaking amazeballs!✌️💜
There is a whole BTS Universe to explore but it may be too much of a topic to talk about at this point of your study of BTS music. You may want to take a peep though by checking on Xceleste's explanation of the BTS Universe. Albums were interconnected after their debut, the genius of this kind of approach. I would suggest you also check their debut album 2Kool for Skool and their very first song No More Dream. Everything started there, the storyline , the inspiration, the passion.
Just discovered your channel today and watched the 2 videos of you showing BTS to MCD. 51 year old ARMY from UK. Grew up as a rock and metalhead. I thought it was a strange choice to show Yet To Come to a person new to BTS. The video is definitely aimed at seasoned ARMY. There are so many references to their previous videos from the props through to hand gestures and facial expressions, it would not seem interesting to non-ARMYs. I will have to go back through your other videos to see your BTS journey. You sound like you have a fair amount of their videos, so I am interested to catch-up on your journey.
What you said at the end really hit, because I saw BTS’s perform DNA at the BBMAS in 2017, and I didn’t really connect with the song, though I thought their dancing was very cool & refreshing. I’m still not a big fan of DNA. So I did not look further into them for almost four years. I so wish that I’d heard Mic Drop instead. When I saw that MV in 2021, I was instantly hooked. Such a unique beat and sound. So many great songs. UGH! Is a personal favorite. Their live performances are insanely good. They are Michael Jackson-level performers, truly. Their live EDM version of IDOL in Japan makes my cells vibrate in the most wonderful way.
All the props are from old videos, the bus is from their very first one, No More Dream. Someone "borrowed" the concept. The high voice IS Jimin. Jungkook has a high voice which is clear in tone, Jimin's is airy and he can go much higher.
Fake Love is one of the MV that also dives into the BU ( BTS fictional story line). It’s quite complex so I won’t get into it. I do love this MV! It was the song Run that really got BTS known in the industry though many of us long time ARMY have known about them before that. The reason I love BTS is because they do have so many genres, their MV almost all have a story or message and they put multiple meanings in their wordplay, as well as the visuals and so much more. The listener can also interpret the songs in their own way too! Run also shows part of the BU. You could read to Taylor’s Guide of the Bangtan 7 and even hardships by XCeleste or the updated version by rice Squad to give you a better idea of the members and their music journey. Thank you so much! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🇨🇦
J Hope on the bed of snickers bars is hint to the BU the Bantang Universe which has hints in MV's, complete songs, books, webtoon etc etc. In fact this MV has more references and hints then I've seen in another of their MV's
It sounds like your friend is more into metal and heavier rap sound. You might introduce him to some of the solo works of J-hope (his latest album), RM and Suga. The rappers probably would be more his style (some border on hard rock/rap). Check those out. There are also some that are just the rap line (the 3 rappers together) like Ugh, there are 4 cyphers that he might like, Outro:Tear is another good one along this line. Also, a lot of their earlier stuff was more hip hop heavy and has all 7 members.
I think Yet to come came out in summer 2022. Since then they started on personal projects and did a free massive concert in Busan and Jin started his mandatatory military service. And since then they have all made personal solo albums and finally all are now in the South Korean military. Jin will be back this june 2024 followed a few months later by Jhope, and finally the rest the summer of '25. Our best is yet to come, ie will be later when we get back. Mic Drop beat was set before Steve A touched it, he just sharpened it up a bit and the music video made it. I don't think there was anything off about the translation. They are just bragging about their actual success. The guy fluent in English is RM who jumped out of the ambulance. BTS songs are always over too soon.
Thanks for the reaction! If you watch their debut song, No More Dream, you'll see why they had a bus in Yet to Come. Rewatch Fake Love, then rewatch Yet to Come. You'll catch a few of the references. The amusement park swing ride in it is from Spring Day. I suggest watching an explanation video for that song because there's a lot of info in the video.
And the flower in the vase on the table from boy in love🥲, so many references to blood sweat and tears as well… ah yet to come makes me do emotional and I’m not surprised that people who are not familiar with the mvs and songs cannot relate, it’s just not possible.
They are all serving in the military. That's why they aren't making music. They spent the one year leading up to serving, releasing a solo album each because they were joining at different times. OK... seriously recommend watching Taylor's Guide to BTS. It is 47 minutes but probably won't feel like it. You don't have to edit it at all, she is a professional editor and did it for her colleagues and it is done so well. It ends just before their solo work but she said she is planning to do a new one. But this seriously is a good intro to them. th-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VnbrIjzlqMZHQfyo BTS songs: Baepsae/Silver Spoon/Crow-Tit th-cam.com/video/5OzmHliayLs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9WN8S2IdVIefaAIB With this song, BTS uses metaphors and cultural references with the birds (crow-tits - short legged birds or try-hards because they have work harder compared with storks who have long legs and seemingly a better start in life) to talk about a topic not openly discussed... how the societal level you are born into can be hard if not impossible to break out of. You probably want to check out their mv too. Just know that, this song gets hyped as a song relating to the Sewol Ferry tragedy. While I love that it brings awareness to that tragedy and the documentary about it is seriously good and deserves to be watched. This song was written 3 years after the fact and Suga, RM and even Jin have all said in multiple articles this was not written with that in mind. But as you said in this video, music can mean what each person needs it to mean. And because of that, I am glad so many find comfort from this song who are dealing with the pain of that and other tragedies. However it is more of a sincere feeling of loss and a longing to reunite with those you may be separated from for whatever reason. Hence why they sang it to ARMY jut before having to join the military. When you want to check what a song is about... which I recommend for pretty much all of them, use doolset. It is a Wordpress webpage but just type in the name of the song and they are really great at showing the layers and multiple meanings of nearly every BTS song. doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com OK. Sorry for the long post. It is a lot but if you read it, it should be helpful. Promise not to write so much in the future. Again, just ignore it if you want. Hope your journey with BTS and all other artists you cover is always a fun one.
Actually before you continue your journey to bts you should react to a guide to bts members the bangtan 7 by Taylor to know them better we recommend this guide to the people who are new to them. Because many reactors will jump to react to their song and will say they are not talented . I recommend you to react to the bts micdrop and run BTS live in Busan , BTS Dionysus and not today live in concert , BTS medley song live, bts rapline cypher medley live. Bts have a lot of live performances and dance practice you should check that out.
Every thing in that MV is a prop from one of their Previous MV's it's showing their journey up to then before they had their little hiatus from group work funny they still managed 2 group songs in their hiatus from group work while doing their solo albums (They've always done solo work both within BTS albums and stand alone solo work) Before they started their military service. They made sure to sign another contract with BigHit first and will be reunit in late June 2025.
All 7 members are in there mandatory military service, that why the did solo songs or Album last year, the be back as a group in 2025, 2 members are finish this year Jin and J-Hope
Fyi...BTS has Run BTS variety show, In the Soop and Bon Voyage staycation and vacation reality series, American Hustle Life reality tv series(2014), Weverse lives/chat/notifications($22/year), NPR tiny desk concerts, Tonight Sow/LateShow/SNL/James Cordon, BBC-One, etc appearances, Our Island:In The Soop video game, merch, BTS:Behind The Story #1 bestseller, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ documentaries, fan made docs, etc. Welcome to the rabbit hole.
Thank you for being open to exploring more music and for giving BTS a listen. (by the way, you don't have to choose- you can always like more than one group 😉😃💜💜💜)
They are all serving in the military, now. Jin, the eldest, was the first to enlist in Dec. 2022 and will be the first to come back in June 2024, followed by J-Hope in October. The other 5, having enlisted between Sept. and Dec. 2023, will all be back in June 2025. Hiatus in K-pop industry has a different meaning compared to the Western music hiatus, and this is due to the military service. No exemption for them. Let's say that BTS made the choice of a mass enlistment even before the usual age, so that they could be together as fast as possible. Lots of K-pop groups work on reduced presence for quite a few years (like Exo) before being full force again... as I said, it's a choice.
I appreciate your excellent sound balance on the music vs your voices. It's one of those things you don't think about or notice if it's done well, but boy, if it's done wrong, it makes a video so hard to watch. So just wanted to say well done. Also, they did not take a hiatus to focus on solo work. They were forced to take a hiatus from group activities because of having to do mandatory military service in S Korea and they decided to use that time to do some solo work. Two enlisted first, in 2022, and the rest went in 2023. The first, Jin, will be back in June of this year and we expect he will do some solo work while waiting for his brothers to return, as he didn't really have time before he had to leave for the military.
They filmed a live performance of "Yet to Come" while in Vegas for the Grammy's and their Permission to Dance concert. Anderson Paak played the drums for them for this song in that video.
Cont... Hi, I am back. Good reaction. ty. Mic Drop: It's a slap in the face for their haters by saying they're at a point where it doesn't matter what you say because your words don't matter anymore. It's also a flex song by pointing out how many trophies they have because at this point they'd need a U-Haul to get them all. Just for an example, in Korea there are weekly music shows by various stations and the winner gets a trophy. Dynamite their 1st full Eng song has 36 (I think) award show wins and that's without any promotion on their end. Fun fact: Mic Drop was inspired by President Obama's mic drop when he left office. =0] I know about the dance break they added. There is a practice video for that. And they have performed this song with the new choreo for a while now. I saw another live with it. It is a perfect addition to the original choreo though they just made it harder as usual. =0p So glad u loved this song like I do. Hugs. Stay safe. -NY USA 2019 Army💟 Imajin all the purple said on 2/17/22 - Fun fact: When Suga drops the mic live it's an extra fake mic and Jin taps his mic for the sound. 🤭 - This is from the famously fandom-nicknamed "Dior performance". Their outfits were specially created for each of them for this tour by one of Dior's youngest, hippest designers, Kim Jones who really likes them. - I can't wait for you to dive further into the rap line... Mic Drop is sort of the 5th Cypher which is why they say "the last farewell". They were just done with addressing the haters. 😏😎 - The Dior Performance of Outro: Tear is a rap line must. The song is from when they thought about disbanding and their emotions really show. 💔 @ChocoCastle06 said on 6/6/23 fun fact, in some live performances, SUGA drops a fake mic(bc it would be crazy to drop their customized mic actually) and Jin hits his mic to create the sound of a mic dropping. @dahliapatricia750 said on 6/6/23 The mic drop song has 6 versions 1st version (Korean version Original) 2nd version (Japanese Version) 3rd version (ft.
STRAY KIDS KINGS LEGENDARY OF KPOP...
I couldn't have said it better👌💜
Yes, Yet to Come is kind of a higher level ARMY song in terms of references. But you don't need to know all those to appreciate the song musically.
@@_.hybrids._1680precisa se informar melhor.
Yes they chose to go in a way but you know still a mandatory service @_.hybrids._1680
BTS BIGGEST BAND in the world ❤️
There’s sooooo many things in Yet To Come that are references to videos from their history and past. Like the bus from their first video, the train from Spring Day, etc. It was meant as cloning the first chapter of their career as a group. The second chapter will open once they are all out of the military and reunited. It was sad and reflective. But meant to reassure ARMY that the best is yet to come.
Every scene is a memory for BTS and ARMY in "yet to come"...They released it shortly before entering the Military ...it was on their anthology album
Not Today, Fire, Cypher, Ugh, Disease, Jump, Hiphop Lover, Magicshop - the live performannces sound alot better than the MVs.
If you like rap - look up Suga/Agust D's trilogy - Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala - outstanding!
For a grunge rock hip hop sound, check out J Hopes ‘More’ MV.
BTS ‘Dionysus’ live performance.
Some songs you may like…….. Most of these are aimed at haters or people who have put shit on them in the past or alternatively they are raw and honest (a lot of Agust D songs) 💜
RM - Joke (the video by Leeha Park is the best and has Eng subs, but be prepared for it cause it’s insane)… Agust D (Suga) - basically anything by him - Agust D, Huh, Burn it, The Last, The trilogy of Daechwita, Hageum & Amygdala… J-Hope - More & Arson… The Rap Line - Cypher pt 1, 2, 3 & 4, Ugh, Outro Tear… 💜💜💜
BTS is extremely diverse with their music and cover a lot of genres 💜
This is from the Love Yourself set of album and explores self love. Learning to accept and love yourself first because if you can't do that you can't love other's it's just Fake love.
I only started listening to them a year ago, now I'm so into The Rose and Woosung after hearing Snooze by AgustD. Pure talent and charisma.
Likewise! Happy ARMY birthday to us! 💜
Spolier
His mother abandons him and leaves him with a candy bar.
They reunite in 2025
😘🫰🏻🫶🏻💜
I would recommend watching the Busan concert video of Mic Drop and Run BTS.
You can react to
'A Guide to BTS-The Bangtan 7' by Taylor Mari, when you guys are ready!
Maybe after a few more songs/live performances❤❤
Its a good reference though, but its better to react about Introduction to BTS from XCeleste, its a narrative docu unlike w/Taylor you need to do a lot of reading. But its up to you guys, whatever fits you. Borahae...💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Love both of these videos but IMO ‘A Guide to BTS Members by Taylor Mari’ is what I would definitely recommend 💜💜💜 Please 👉🏼👈🏼💜
If you like rap, watch Agust D's trilogy, in order, Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala.
also suggest: Not Today, On Kinetic Manifesto, Pied Piper live, Outro Tear live, their 38 minute performance at MMA 2019
So nice he is so open to their music!
Their live stuff is the best!
America really noticed BTS through the song DNA because it was their first US televised preformance at the AMAs.
Hi from blackpool ...I'm soooo happy more people from the UK are listening to bts .. thank you for reacting 💜💜
ooo, you're close by i (rogue) am from burnley
I’m with everyone else….live performances are the best!!! Any live performance, they are absolute masters of performing live. Although if you watch performances done during the pandemic they do not have the audience they would normally have.
Yet to come...es para ARMY. Tiene muchas referencias a su historia compartida.💜🇦🇷
Sowell Ferry tragedy, not soccer.
Yellow scholl bus qas nod to their 1sr mv, No More Dream.
Filmed in CA inbetween their Permission to Dance concerts.
It’s genuinely one of the most awesome shots I’ve ever seen in a music video! - MCD
..Some important facts that I wrote down some time ago and I thought you could/should read it too
What do you mean they weren't feeling it? Yet to come is the song with the most feeling. Very nostalgic and reminising. Also it was an incredibly sad moment for them to have to say goodbye to us for a little while.
I dont particularily agree with what mcd said about them 'not feeling it' i think its a lower energy track but i still think we got BTS at their best
@@WhiteCollarRhymes i think it went over his head. That song is for army. He not army.
Show him On, Dope and Black Swan...then ask him what he think about BTS!
Hi guys. I will be posting an updated bts guide soon as we don't have one. Im already done with all the members and i just have to put the subtitles and edit the last part. It will probably be posted by next week. Can't wait to show it to you all cuz i worked a lot on it for a couple of months.
Fake Love is very Evanescence.
They are serving mandatory military service. So the angst comes from this not being their choice.
Re Mic drop - Ugh! Is solid in that arena.
Fake Love veign is Black Swan.
Fake Love is definitely my favorite too!! Thank you for the reaction!

I hope you continue your BTS discovery and as a rule of thumb any song not in Korean is not written by BTS themselves and they are generally not as representative of their music as their own tracks...
yeah lol, I (Rogue) like bts' music but haven't really dove deep into them as people other than Suga and Jungkook
"Doing their own thing at the moment" 🤣🤣 Yeah, as much as anyone can "do their own thing" during military service! 🤣🤣🤣
It's ok, you can't know what you don't know. I appreciated how you were sharing with your friend. Great songs. I really enjoyed the reactions 💜💜🖖

SUGA:,Daechwita and Haewgeum
JHOPE: More and Arson
If you like rap, this trio is unstoppable.😊
They actually released another song after Yet to Come. It’s called Take Two.
bts💜
Much of the fake love MV is part of the bangtan universe that runs from their 2015 track I need you to this and possibly film out
The BU is a complex of MV’s, short films, books and a web game …. And v deep and v confusing but the great thing is that you can enjoy the music Without knowing much about the universe…
The yet to come MV contains many many Easter eggs and callbacks to there discography
(Inc the Bu again lol): most of all to the song spring day (called the queen) which has been continuously on Korean charts since the day it was released in 2017…
Actually higher energy than mic drop????
Run BTS live from the yet to come free concert in Busan
Look for the video w captions
And it’s super worth watching the dance practice video at the same time
Highly recommended💜
BTS BIGGEST GROUP in the world 💜
Yet to Come is one of my less fav songs also but it drips with meaning with the callback visuals in the video and the circumstances around military service.
Finally a true music lover’s reaction💜
Welcome to BTS world 💜💜💜
In the app to come video, and all of their videos, for the most part, there's always odes to previous videos.
Try to react on their live performances, its amazing...thanks for the BTS reaction...💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
There is an extended Rock Version of "Fake Love" as well. :)
BTS ❤💜💜💜💜💜🇦🇷 Argentina
Juat a heads up it's not Yung kook but Jungkook or just JK
Please react to JUST ONE DAY and RUN (mv) 🎉
BTS
Hurray! Maybe the next trio is:
- ON Kinetic Manifesto
- Airplane Pt 2
- Spring Day
?
The desert scene was in America near CA....... So easy to find a yellow school bus.
Now all 7members are serving in the military
Hey..i love y’all reaction guys…i hope meet you again with the next video of BTS ☺️💜
Felicitări BTS cei mai talentați frumoși perfecți tare dor de ei ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think you may like some of their live performances.
Thank you to Steve Aoki but the original "Mic Drop" was also grand. Just less English.
Watch the last concert in Busan.
J Hope on the bed of snickers bars is hint to the BU the Bantang Universe which has hints in MV's, complete songs, books, webtoon etc etc. In fact this MV has more references and hints then I've seen in another of their MV's
Enjoyed MCD's commentary. You should show him some earlier tracks and some of the rap line songs. 💜
Should have done the Rock version of Fake Love!!!
I recommend some live performances from concerts
They are all serving in the military. That's why they aren't making music. They spent the one year leading up to serving, releasing a solo album each because they were joining at different times. OK... seriously recommend watching Taylor's Guide to BTS. It is 47 minutes but probably won't feel like it. You don't have to edit it at all, she is a professional editor and did it for her colleagues and it is done so well. It ends just before their solo work but she said she is planning to do a new one. But this seriously is a good intro to them. th-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VnbrIjzlqMZHQfyo
BTS songs:
Baepsae/Silver Spoon/Crow-Tit th-cam.com/video/5OzmHliayLs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9WN8S2IdVIefaAIB With this song, BTS uses metaphors and cultural references with the birds (crow-tits - short legged birds or try-hards because they have work harder compared with storks who have long legs and seemingly a better start in life) to talk about a topic not openly discussed... how the societal level you are born into can be hard if not impossible to break out of. They take a serious topic but put fun, quirky, unserious choreo to it. Their dance practice is hilarious. th-cam.com/video/gdUQ7GS7JXU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rkp-yzZ12hfllDDs
Run BTS Dance Practice!: th-cam.com/video/aqW4xXUgmno/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sGFKPR1ftBjBLuU9 then follow that up with this th-cam.com/video/lgPrw62-puM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TWtK-Fjfnh2roO1a Live at their free "Yet to Come" concert in Busan before they went to service.
Dionysus: th-cam.com/video/csw12FFn1uo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eCbFIKaqOozlFw7Z
Spring Day: th-cam.com/video/WJ54efsY2kA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aia_B6tymEgtWajW This is a live with Eng Subs.
Blue and Grey: th-cam.com/video/iP62Tg04vww/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UPIHqi3LeNTvsDh8 Written during the pandemic

Black Swan: th-cam.com/video/0lapF4DQPKQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KscBgxKc9hNxqdRr but follow that up with this live barefoot performance. These guys really are somehow always better live.th-cam.com/video/sCHo01VHzec/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pqM_WQfiQhKpUVpT
They don't lip sync. They almost always have a backup track running, but if they can't sing because of the choreo then they don't sing or they just laugh at the camera to say "oops." The youngest, jungkook literally works out while singing in order to prepare his lungs. In this clip he had already been working out about an hour. Check this 2 min vid out for fun. th-cam.com/video/e6yjYwIjl6Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5vjDoHVq0piemiar
The Rapline:
Ddaeng th-cam.com/video/Jsfi1PUEQWA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vVlRESKbwR8QWN4k and for fun, see Jungkook do RM's part as the vocal line perform it for fun: th-cam.com/video/tQRrc3PEITc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wI6lb0zeHLEe0u7P
Outro: Tear (live at Wembley)th-cam.com/video/UDuaJGYe8EQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_G_Jlm-HiKQP3VzP This was written when the group considered disbanding so even though it works on a relationship level too, the words will make more sense when you understand their depth a bit more.
The Vocal Line:
The Truth Untold th-cam.com/video/q9yaP4wZ_tI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D0KwFIzs9oMztB-x I try to give live performance links when possible but this is a stage mix. You will see by the views how much army likes it. The performance is primarily from the one they did at Fukoyoka Dome in Japan but that performance doesn't have lyrics so please do this.
House of Cards th-cam.com/video/3ytjTLq87Yw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=S8NXH87_VEjvYk7y
RM (Rap Monster/Kim Namjoon): Seriously he is so versatile I don't know where to start. I already recommended Do You: th-cam.com/video/rN0_2jyOgzg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=p4pPJFPVH5xwyv3b
He goes super hard in Joke against his haters. Use this link. It is not even kind of okay if you use the other one without subs and auto-generated gibberish: th-cam.com/video/OxMrBNBWksM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3_1oZkQrF9x7rAJ7
He gets super vulnerable in Forever Rain: th-cam.com/video/Cvb76hBX_Oc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XCITQlQB75GN8S5F
His title track on his recent album is kind of epic. Wildflower: th-cam.com/video/u18be_kRmC0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HKWmGM3lf5LgEIoo But the entire new album "Indigo" is versatile and flows through the styles of rap through his youth. The first song is with Erykah Badu and he has very different artists featuring on the entire album. Pretty fun.
JHOPE: I recommend Arson to start. th-cam.com/video/QmpTkkaKYSU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lxIPlcg6KzXtJPNm
Equal Sign (Live at Lollapallooza) th-cam.com/video/G0IvfcgJSm4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-2ip7VDU8j-lmDPR
The entire Lollapallooza performance was fire! You should watch it fr!
Suga (Agust D/Min Yoongi): Anything he's ever done. We could start with his trilogy. Daechwita mv. Haegeum mv (Haegeum means a freedom from what was forbidden, plus a traditional Korean instrument). Amygdala (the part of our brain responsible for rational thought that processes trauma to help us protect ourselves in the future). All mvs are easy to find.
Now with the vocalists -
Jin (more Ballad type songs) - Epiphany th-cam.com/video/IKqtyJReVVk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=r8h-zA3jZs3SyHDW
Astronaut - th-cam.com/video/c6ASQOwKkhk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=soM1mNWwXy4hWCo4 His farewell song to ARMY before enlisting in the military. He flew to Argentina to perform it for the first time live with Coldplay.
Jimin (angelic voice with huge vocal range and music styles):
Lie (Live with Eng Sub) th-cam.com/video/lutt2uqRSl0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pz4-dGETvQAUgdMG
Serendipity th-cam.com/video/iUSGpz8MvZw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=v3_F5KAtQ7JbFDOg
Set Me Free Pt 2 th-cam.com/video/UaywgAqcLxI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=El2OdxClKB1h6Rwv
V (more R&B even Jazz vibes in his songs):
Stigma - th-cam.com/video/aA453izPcy8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=P4D7l9r1rVdK4koa
Singularity - th-cam.com/video/LPbv6yHimMU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JAY9yg1cjiszDxUf
JK (Prefers Pop but can sing any style to perfection. Best when he goes live from his living room with karaoke taking requests from ARMY):
Seven mv is too fun not to watch: th-cam.com/video/QU9c0053UAU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2ekGZmKQH9jVTt-A
Standing Next to You choreo official mv: th-cam.com/video/6q0JnftlH-I/w-d-xo.htmlsi=z6zvDAWQ0v4kilst
He actually wrote this one. There isn't an official with Eng Subs but Elissa does great fmvs:
th-cam.com/video/x1tAVUAs4Kc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BivF5KcQIeXqkbIc
Also... beware of coded color lyrics. They are often put together so fast that they are inaccurate. If you need to watch a lyric video, check out Dial6137. Also, we prefer Lives to mvs most of the time. When you do a live it can be hard to find the lyrics. A YT channel called "Enjoy BTS More" does a great job fitting the best subs to live performances! When you want to check what a song is about... which I recommend for pretty much all of them, use doolset. It is a Wordpress webpage but just type in the name of the song and they are really great at showing the layers and multiple meanings of nearly every BTS song. doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com
OK. Sorry for the long post. It is a lot but if you read it, it should be helpful. Promise not to write so much in the future. Again, just ignore it if you want. Hope your journey with BTS and all other artists you cover is always a fun one.
Mic Drop remix is a pale imitation of the original for me. I much prefer that it's , as you put it. grungy.
They took a break to serve in the military 😁
Every thing in that MV is a prop from one of their Previous MV's it's showing their journey up to then before they had their little hiatus from group work funny they still managed 2 group songs in their hiatus from group work while doing their solo albums (They've always done solo work both within BTS albums and stand alone solo work) Before they started their military service. They made sure to sign another contract with BigHit first and will be reunit in late June 2025.
All 7 members are in there mandatory military service, that why the did solo songs or Album last year, the be back as a group in 2025, 2 members are finish this year Jin and J-Hope
Turn down your background music just a bit please, so that we can hear what your co-reactor is saying.
Hello there, might you wanna check out GENTO MV by PPOP ( Filipino Pop Music) SB19. its a Bop song. Thank you & have a great day ❤️👍🇵🇭❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for being open to exploring more music and for giving BTS a listen. (by the way, you don't have to choose- you can always like more than one group 😉😃💜💜💜)
Blood Sweat and Tears
Love the reaction !
BTS -Army 🇲🇽💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Hugs. Stay safe. -NY USA 2019 Army💟

- Fun fact: When Suga drops the mic live it's an extra fake mic and Jin taps his mic for the sound. 🤭
- This is from the famously fandom-nicknamed "Dior performance".
- The Dior Performance of Outro: Tear is a rap line must. The song is from when they thought about disbanding and their emotions really show. 💔

fun fact, in some live performances, SUGA drops a fake mic(bc it would be crazy to drop their customized mic actually) and Jin hits his mic to create the sound of a mic dropping.

The mic drop song has 6 versions
1st version (Korean version Original)
2nd version (Japanese Version)
3rd version (ft. Designer)
4rd version (Mama music award remix)
5th version (ft. Steve Aoki) more Eng
6th version (TINY TAN)
Aloha from Hawaii. I enjoyed reactions 1 and 2. I appreciate your thoughts.
Glad you enjoyed 😀
Fake love is a song about losing one's self to please another in order to gain their love
i hope you can watch the "introduction to BTS member" first before watching all their videos. just to get to know themmore... 😊
