Nice 😊 And good to hear you stick with your hike plan for mileage. It’s a long haul & staying injury free would be my only goal, not sprinting to Katahdin 👍
You are doing great! I enjoy your singing. Makes sense to me. When you appreciate your surroundings it just makes you want to sing out! Hike on Risa, you’ve got this!
Enjoyed the view of Atlanta off in the distance. Hard to believe you can make out buildings that far away. Glad you're taking precautions against noro. I love to hear you merrily singing as you trudge along!! Wise not to push the miles yet, so it's good you got the campsite you wanted. See you next time.
Cheers to your process of the day. Nice and easy does it. After all, the slow and steady tortoise beat the hare. Thanks for the pleasant insights. Very enjoyable. Wishing you good health, safe passage and good fortune. Happy Trails!
I was out hiking NB from Sassafras on Saturday 4/20. I remember a singing hiker passing me by. I was day hiking and felt like I was dying due to being terribly out of shape. Probably wasn’t you, but we do appreciate happy hikers.
Norovirus is notoriously bad on the AT. I remember it was terrible when I went on a cruise. It is not surprising as in both cases people are elbow to elbow and touching the same surfaces. Personally, I’d stay away from shelters, public restrooms, and trail magic where everyone is reaching into containers and bread wrappers. The six foot rule is not a bad idea. Hope you stay well.
try not to get hung up on being at the tail end of the bubble. Those in the bubble are the ones getting hit the hardest with NORO, so the grass might not be greener on that particular other side! Focus on making each day spent with yourself a special day, and the trail will provide the rest :) Keep pushing forward girl!
Wishing you the best on your adventure, your vlogs volume is too low my old ears... I am maxed out and some spots it's like you are covering your microphone. Other times it's perfectly fine.. perhaps you have a selfie stick who's clamps cover the phones microphone opening... ?
@@1024Pete I have the same problem with the volume being too low. But closed captioning covers up so much of the view. I watch on a tablet, not a tv, so there's not a lot of space.
Be extra careful with your hygiene around water sources and shelters. Water filters won’t work and most hand sanitizers don’t work either. Noro is a bad beast, when you have it, it literally comes out both ends at the same time 🤮

Great job! Thanks for bringing us along! Keep on rockin & rollin!
Thanks for sharing your journey with us! Great job!!
I love the mountains!
Wish I could do that

I love the singing, I do this when I hike alone. I think the last half mile of any walk whether 5 miles or 25 miles is always the hardest!!
I had no idea you could see the Atlanta skyline from the trail, that's pretty cool.
You can also see the NYC skyline from the trail near Bear Mountain.
Breaking out into song just makes you more like part of my family! 😂❤🎵🎶
“The hillllls are aliiiiive….🎵”

That view of Atlanta was cool. First time I've seen that on a hiker video. Thanks for sharing!
You’re doing great. I was kinda looking forward to seeing the trash can. Sorry I missed it.

I love the singing. Keep it up!
Rissa! You got this! Seems like you are enjoying yourself out there!!
It’s amazing what recovery from olfactory fatigue does…eventually you’ll sense fresh hikers from a quarter mile away. 😂

3 down. Awesome!
Rissa…do you always smile? Wise to not overdo! Gotta take care of those feet!
@@tommyh.8391 Uh oh! I wasn’t being critical. I love that she is happy! I am happy for her!
Rissa 8miles a day is plenty hyoh don't fret what others do. You'll find out what works for your sleep system.🚶Hike on

Try closed caption. Works for me.

@@mhelen7360 I watch on my iPad. Closed caption can be moved around. I keep mine at the bottom. It works great.
