That is exactly what I thought when I saw the front face ! The large middle grill and the smaller ones on the sides remind me of the one from the One-77 and Zagatos.
You managed to get the best colour combo out of all the reviews (along with Hagerty). The satin silver and satin bronze wheels shouldnt really work together but yet they do. So cool.
Sam, you are living our dream! Also the new Vantage is SUCH an improvement on the the 2nd gen… I’m very satisfied with the changes they’ve made and what they kept from the last one
If you really watch these videos sam does a great job. As he fils by himself so all them shots of him comjng out of the garage and the fly by dhots are him settling the camera up then getting the shot and going back for a 3 second clip just to make the video better. You have got to respect that. So good at his craft. Well done 👏
It's amazing the quality, he has always had a talent for videography. I was thinking how does he do the drone footage. It's like a predefined flight path and somehow coordinated with launching the drone, driving the car, and retrieving the drone etc.
@@AndyWJP I think the drone has a tracking mode where it tracks the controller and follows. No less impressive. The cut aways and conscious set ups are what make him so professional. Its real film making and not just vlogging.
Love both Aston Martin & Porsche but if it came to choosing between the two(Vantage & 911 Carrera) i'l go with the 911 Carrera just coz I prefer a 2+2.,as for the looks Aston nails it with this Vantage!❤.
Awesome as always Sam, despite watching 3 other reviews this was the video I was truly waiting for. All the best and thanks for your hard work, you provide joy to thousands of us with this channel and the podcast 👍🏼
No worries Sam, listened to the podcast and still came here. Nobody is tracking a Vantage. You’d have to look past a Turbo S and a Continental GT as a daily coupe. To me only makes sense if you just want something different or you already have a sportyish daily.
God I love Astons. Guy down the road from me got rid of his DB11 for the new Maserati GranTurismo and I still can't figure out why. That green interior, damn, so nice.
Doesn’t matter if it’s better, looks amazing, sounds good, AM heritage and brand cachet, sorted the interior. For mere mortals who aren’t driving 8/10 everywhere I can’t think of much else I’d rather have… sure if I was special car for the weekend and track days I’d think GT3 but everyday I wouldn’t look twice at Turbo S
It's not intended to provide a surgically precisioned driving experience, but rather burly fun that is poised and under control. A more powerful and elegant AMG GT, if you will.
What a job! And congrats for hitting 600k (although should be 6 million...)! Great job showing/driving the car in town over the cobbles. No one else did that.
Hi Sam, long time follower of the channel and podcast. I know you are always hyper aware of how you speak on the podcast about unreleased main channel videos. I just wanted to say that I was listening to this week's podcast on a flight and the fact you spoke so well made me tune into this video. I hope the video release is going well for you. Keep working hard, Joe Huntley.
They have nailed the styling for the vantage for me, I loved the rear anyways and the one 77 front is the best looking modern Aston by miles! If I win the lottery it will be one of the first cars I buy just for looks alone
You talked about this video on the podcast, I immediately went to youtube to find it. Only to realise you upload ln Sundays. Always looking forward to these. Let's get into it!
Currently in an F type R and this is the only car that I would take as a replacement. This type of very fast coupe have so much more class than a supercar. Which, in all honesty, are to difficult to get in and out of and make you look like a right plonker. Just another point- your videos have the best cinematography of ANY TH-cam channel.
"This is definitely a sports car...", and gets overtaken by a small, nondescript, family crossover. Timing sure is everything, especially when it is seen through glass! 😂
Been playing with the AM configurateur while Sam was doing his thing and it all boils down to this; If I could, I would. Might wait for the cabriolet but yes what a car.
Hello there, I really enjoyed your review, and this car! I think the silver and the signature British green interior looks very handsome. About your review, you balanced the city driving, the beautiful environments, and the car very well into the video! I really liked the cinematography! Well done!
Looks way better than a 911, I appreciate the 911 will hold value better and most likely have less issues but I would choose the Vantage over the 911 every day of the week.. well done AM..
No herd-like opinions here Sam (always a good thing), plus still the most cinematic automotive TH-cam videos on the business. But the clincher? The absolute definitive opinion? Green IS best (for both interiors and flavours of ice cream). Keep ‘em coming exactly like this and we’ll keep watching Sam…💯
Just love this car Sam, esp' the rear haunches. The hard suspension would be a problem for me as I'm not really a track person. Great video M8 & very well done on reaching 600K subs. Cheers, John.
Silver can be hit or miss on some car but oh my word does it look good on an Aston! Nice one Sam on telling us you curbed a wheel, I would have been flapping!
After watching all those James Bond movies 🍿 I feel like I know how this car drives lol 😂. When I see an Aston Martin on the road it always sticks out.
Good colour combo: silver, dark bronze wheels and green tinted glass/interior leather...still not convinced by the AMG V8 though: sounds like it is from an AMG GT, and in Truth, it is. Would consider the V12 version, if it ever exists.
Beautiful but where does one use this amount of power. Back when 911s and mid engined Ferraris had around 400 hp, you could safely thrash them on open public roads. That was a lot of fun. Thrashing this car (or a 992 turbos, )on most public roads will last for 2-3 seconds.
I like how Aston are still pulling from the One-77 styling, 15 years on. You can't blame them to be fair. It's still such a good looking thing.
They’ve been tweaking that design since the late 90’s just like Porsche with their 911.
One-77 is such a timeless design!
One-77 still remains one of their BEST designs. They should have been grafting Inspiration from that Design a very long time ago.
That is exactly what I thought when I saw the front face ! The large middle grill and the smaller ones on the sides remind me of the one from the One-77 and Zagatos.
Hey, Porsche have done it for decades 😂
You managed to get the best colour combo out of all the reviews (along with Hagerty). The satin silver and satin bronze wheels shouldnt really work together but yet they do. So cool.
More like the Worst color combination with green interior 🦠
There were some stunning looks specs on offer to be fair. I wasn’t a huge fan of the bronze wheels but loved the green interior
That seatbelt should be green!
@@seenthroughglass Bad luck with the wheel Sam, definitely blame that wider rear end! Lovely car & vid 👌
This comment is here to say we appreciate your video even a week later… also you drove the best spec amv out of all the TH-camrs!
I appreciate it
Love the honesty sharing „accidents“ like the curb ! Makes me appreciate you even more
can't lie as somone that's always loved the rear end, the new front end has made this a thing of beauty. this may have become my new obsession
ye the backend is absolutely perfect
Imagine owning a One77 and having this Vantage as a daily 😮
@@ConanSoo I have very much so been staring at the white on red on auto trader for much time lmao.
Aston Martin are killing it with this new generation of cars. They've not achieve this level of excellence for 30 years at least.
Agreed. Definitely feels like an exciting time for the brand
@@seenthroughglasstoo bad they’re over priced!
30 years buddy? Their cars 30 years ago were dogshit😂. 15 years maybe...
@@Harry.Scurr95 Do you even know what overpriced means?
Watching because you said everyone wouldn’t on the pod. Thanks for keeping us entertained, Sam!
Thank you
X2
The Stroll era of AM is looking much improved. Fun car, still a fashion statement and the brand brings intrigue to the experience.
The appearance improvements made such a huge difference. It look like an Aston now, instead of a Miata. Well done, Gaydon.

That green interior with white piping is stunning.
To be honest...would probably prefer this Aston over a 911 turbo s (not that I can afford any of them lol) ....Great video Sam 👍
Same i completely agree, i wonder if my opinion will change, on the 24th of May when Porsche reveals the 992.2
It definitely has more personality than a Turbo S!

Amazingly beautiful. DB 12 & Vantage Aston is killing the game 💪🤙👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Everyone is racing and Sam is enjoying a coffee. 😊
Always! 😂
Saw so many posts on this and skimmed past all without watching. Until STG, always a good watch!
I appreciate that!

The bit in the town with ice cream have a look because I see hints of One 77 in the car
How does Sam make so much better content than the others. Effortlessly. Keep it coming as it’s the best part of the week 💪🏻
its like a DB12 front with the old Vantage rear end, very classy
Love this channel's videos. Fast-fact and information packed. Great energy and enthusiasm, delivery and presentation.
Great video Sam, watched after you mentioning it on the podcast earlier in week
Legend!

Looks great from the front rear and interior . Nailed it . Pity Ferrari cannot design a v12 as nice as this
The best review yet of this beautiful car. Well done, Sam
That bottle green leather is unreal
I’m excited for the new Vanquish
That Carl Friedrik case with the green liner is absolutely delicious👌🏽 the front of the Aston looks so much like a One77
I think this is the best looking AM at the moment. Especially in silver
What a job! And congrats for hitting 600k (although should be 6 million...)! Great job showing/driving the car in town over the cobbles. No one else did that.
When the watch color and strap works exceedingly well with the interior color. 👏

STG videos are just the best - I do miss the soundtrack of the 360 intro vs. 360CS.
I really enjoy the longer videos to watch like an episode

Sam's opinion on this car is the one I've been waiting for 👀
You talked about this video on the podcast, I immediately went to youtube to find it. Only to realise you upload ln Sundays.
Always looking forward to these. Let's get into it!
The sound does seem very synthetic. Wish there was some way of just disabling the turbos and I'll take this car as a 350bhp N/A
One of the best car interior. Physical buttons 👌🏾

Brilliant mate you said no one is going to watch this on behind the glass ... no way another cracking review big ups from Adelaide Australia
Amazing video, quality is always top tier
Much appreciated!
5:44 My heart was racing seeing (especially in Spain) the other car parking behind the Aston💀😮💨
9:37 "you can feel the rear end going ' lets have a bit of play' I'M NOT READY FOR PLAY I DONT KNOW YOU YET" 😂😂😂

Left hand drive to right hand drive on track? Great video Sam. Waited for yours because they’re always the best
Sam, I never knew you had so much Chris Harris in you! Splendid content!
A sweet treat for Sunday.
Bowers&Wilkins speakers for the 45 minute briefing? Nice!
Love the green carbon fibre inside the car on track!
watching this after the podcast, and absolutely loved it
Best automotive TH-camr in the game.
It’s drop dead gorgeous inside and outside, who wouldn’t want one
The interior get so much better
Great soundtrack! Lovely video.
OH it's you! Really enjoying watching your IG Shorts!
Bloody good video. A cracking addition to the podcast…
The 4 pipes 😍 such an upgrade !
Great review. 2nd new Aston to absolutely make sure to by a turbo S...bring the 824hp V12 and we're in business.
Bloody hell this Aston is just breathtaking ❤❤❤
First new Vantage video I’ve seen and it’s great! Gonna go to se Tim’s now.

Great looking car, very cool video.
😂 Thank you!
Finally, I've been avoiding all the dropped content to save my enthusiasm for your vid. Huhhey its Sunday again!!
with regards to looks...it EASILY beats all competition.
The car made you look like a driving god! Great job Sam
5:52 Surrounded by gorgeous Citroen C5's.....nice.
Aston Martin is a cool brand... and good engineering...good work Aston Martin...
this car looks in person 1000x better then on videos and photos
Great great video Sam! Best video in a long time
Based on other reviews, they said that putting TC on 5 is the sweet spot .... looks like you found it! 🙂
Great honest review!
I love those mountain roads. Need to find out where they are to try them.
I love the look but it would be hard for me to choose this over a 911 Turbo
I sat in it last weekend - properly lovely car
After watching all those James Bond movies 🍿 I feel like I know how this car drives lol 😂. When I see an Aston Martin on the road it always sticks out.
"I'm not ready for play, I don't know you yet"
I swear I've heard this before, but can't remember where? 🤔
You have to come to Vejer de la frontera!!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Great video 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Good colour combo: silver, dark bronze wheels and green tinted glass/interior leather...still not convinced by the AMG V8 though: sounds like it is from an AMG GT, and in Truth, it is. Would consider the V12 version, if it ever exists.
IDK why with these high quality videos and good content you don't have more subs or views
I’d still buy one.
Great fun watching you having fun, and an ice cream 🍨
Thank you
😎😎😎👍👍👍
I wonder will the volante be a softer cruiser? hmm.. I like the thought.
Imagine being invited to drive a press release Aston and curbing a wheel
Sam I think you are a better driver than you give yourself credit for! Good review.
No he isn't
Did they let you off with the wheel?
Genial vídeo, me ha enganchado de principio a fin
Classy video Sam! That silver looks liquid under the tree 👌🏻
Beautiful but where does one use this amount of power. Back when 911s and mid engined Ferraris had around 400 hp, you could safely thrash them on open public roads. That was a lot of fun. Thrashing this car (or a 992 turbos, )on most public roads will last for 2-3 seconds.
How much for a new set of tyres ????
I respect this but don’t know if I personally would pick this over a turbo
Awesome from every angle
I was waiting for your video even if if I listened to the podcast🎉
