The reason why the exterior exhausts almost never connect with the actual exhaust system is... If you get an ever-so-slight bump by another car from the rear, the problem is that it will then push the exhaust system into the car. Wrecking the entire car all the way into the engine. Which is a massive, huge repair bill rather than just replacing the rear panel.
AM did an amazing job with the dashboard. Didnt go overboard with the screens, one for the drivers display is fine, and a small one that doesnt dominate the dashboard seems great.And FINALLY, BUTTONS

As an owner of a 2020 Aston Vantage I think the interior is a massive step forward, but my car is already fast enough for rear wheel drive, I would rather have had a price around £135k and say 550hp, rather than £165k and 660hp, it’s not about 0-60 in this car, unless it’s 4 wheel drive it’s never ever going to beat a 911 in a standing start, but the midrange is already epic especially in the wet...great underrated car..
True. After a certain point a front engine red car can only handle so much power to weight ratio. More than a lower price I'd like to see lower weight. These cars should not weigh 2 tons
Owner of a VH platform Vantage and driven the next gen Vantage plenty of times. What the new Vantage didn't need was more power. Even though the outgoing Vantage had a little over 500 bhp, it feels like much more (especially mid range) and it's an extremely fast car for our roads. This new one must feel epic.
imo I feel the opposite. I loved the way the old one looked (I once saw one in the same orange as the one in this vid). The new one just looks weird to me. Not bad but not my cup of team

I recently purchased a 2020 Vantage and I've heard the complaints about the 911 Turbo being quicker but at this level I'm not seeing where it would matter or at least I don't care. Me and someone with the exact same skill level go to the same track at the same time, we "race" and he is ahead by some small margin? For actually driving it in normal life it's far more interesting and unique than the 911 which most can't tell if it was built yesterday (992) or a decade ago (the 1st 991's).

The Vantage from 10 8 years ago got killed by a Cayman 0-60, and above ca 200 Km/h, would not pull if its life depended on it... all it had going for it was looks.

I think the Sub-stated 0-60 times is really a testament to how effective and needed all wheel drive is in modern cars to achieve the fastest acceleration.
The track and the road test were in Spain, so, left hand drive for the road, and it doesn't matter for the track! They had a lot of cars out there, he's the first reviewer I've seen who didn't end up with a different colour for the track test (by chance I presume).
Because it's not double the price of the original! it's about £30,000 more than the old one and is still cheaper than the base price of a DB12 and the new Vanquish which starts at £300,000 +

I love Aston Martin for not putting an hybrid system into the car. The new Vantage is a beauty. Also I am very impressed with the exhaust noise while standing. For a 2024 car it sounds angry and loud enough. Still I would reprogram the soft limiter and probably fit a acrapovic exhaust if there will be one.
The design of the car has many similar features to the One-77, I feel. Except for the back, that looks like an updated old Vantage. I mean in my eyes that's a compliment, since the One-77 is one of my favorite cars ever.
