I'd absolutely watch that too. The video you did on your Dad's Defender was incredibly personal and touching. As a man who never cries, I'm not ashamed to say it made me shed a tear or two. Needless to say, if you did a resto series on it, it would hold one hell of a lot more meaning than anything anybody else is doing so please, absolutely disregard the false equivalences some commenters make about Urban or JWW who in my opinion are as superficial as it comes vs yourself who imbues their 'content' with authentic, personal meaning.
Hi Sam, the leak you have experienced in the car park (5:40) hasn't ruined your PPF. This is a residue that leches out of concrete. It is a residue that is an alkaline substance and can be reversed chemically. A detailer that knows what they are doing can fix this for a fraction of the cost a ppf company would charge. I hope this helps. Joe
I have been watching this channel since its early alfa romeo days. Safe to say you made me fall in love with the F-type and I purchased my own recently. Absolute weapon! Can't thank you enough for all these entertaining videos and heres to many more to come!
As a follower of virtually all car TH-camrs, Sam, you are my favorite. I am excited every week for both Seen through, and Behind the Glass. A series of restoring your father’s Defender would be a treat and a real tribute to the man. You’ve said in the past you’re not the most mechanically minded individual but I’d recommend putting your own touch on at least one item as a bond to your father. Keep up the amazing work
I have a 2008 Defender and i would like to see the restoration? Your quite right the UK roads are awful If you want to have fun head north much less traffic
Would love to see you take your dads Defender and make it the best version of itself. I think that would be a very nice project to follow along for sure.
I agree that a Defender restoration series would be fabulous. In terms of UK roads, they've definitely become worse in recent times. They just seem so poorly maintained, and it sadly takes some of the fun out of having a nice car. The GT3 makes sense to keep as a European roadtrip car because of it.
Wow... the smooth sound of power from that GT3 is mesmerizing. I'm very happy with your updates and uploads, your adventures. But I can imagine why some of your subscribers miss certain machines you own. But you have legitimate reasons why we haven't seen them, and it's definitely harder on you than us. I mean... come on. But a little baby daughter and a new mum wife, and new dad influencer, have different priorities. Thanks for this video explanation. Hope nobody gives you a hard time going forward. Love your content, and your podcast. Thanks for all you do!!!
It's awesome that you are fixing up your dad's defender. I would like to see that. Glad your excited about your CS. I feel the same way every time I get in my F355, and I've had it a year.
Sam, before you put any additional funds into the Panamera have a go in a pre owned AMG GT 53, 63 or 63S 4 door. Over the past 12 years I-have had 4 different Panamera’s including the turbo as my daily driver. I loved them. Then I drove the AMG GT63 four door. I was absolutely blown away! I bought one that day. It is by far the best daily driver I have ever had and it might be the best car I have ever had (time will tell). The combination of modern tech, various drive modes, and comfort are incredible. I think your channel would appreciate that content too!
Defender restoration series would be a great watch! especially with the family connection to your dad. Perhaps get some family member to share some of the memories growing up. Keep the 911 GT3 as long as possible, especially as you got it same week your daughter was born. Your memories as a family in that car will make you want to keep it forever I suspect. 360 CS, keep the red colour if you do a respray in my opinion. I would keep the panamera stock and not modify it (other than colour change). Don't feel bad for not using them much on British roads, the state of them nowadays and traffic makes it frustrating. Also track days are super expensive to do regularly. Thanks for the update Sam :)
Would love to see more of the Defender! Just inspecting the suspension bushes, A Frame ball joint and engine mounts; replacing where necessary will make a huge difference. Hopefully the Chassis does not need any welding. Dont forget, you have already had an expert on your podcast! You could pop into this years LRO show for a few ideas!👍🏽
My dad went through this with his g series 911, it bothered him sometimes in his 25-30 year tenure with the car that he didn’t use it often enough. There were years he’d only put a few hundred miles on it and he’d say wha5 a waste having it was, then he’d take it out on his favourite a and b road route locally, or to see a client along some cracking driving roads and it reminded him just what a great car it was and like he’ll was it leaving. In the end, it left purely because he didn’t have a garage at home it could live in. Keep the GT3 if you can. So long as you’re using it somehow, defo worth having the * the best china. Definitely a defender resto would be cool.
Juice motors would be good for the Defender. UK based and they do videos too…although not for a while. I love your cars Sam. I also love Defenders do that would be fun.
Great update... not much chances haha however, I would have done the same! Perfect garage!! Also... the cracked window during the CS part, that says everything about Sam 😅 the window is not broken or malfunction... he just wants that extra sound 🫡🤟
There are loads of good roads with little to no traffic or policing in the south of England - Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, West Sussex, etc. Loads! I know various stretches where you'd be unlucky not to have a clean run. There seem to be lots of people who live London, don;'t know where the good roads are (and they're really not terribly far from London) and o make the mistake of assuming they're all like the obvious main roads and rat runs they end up on.
Sticky buttons/switches in the CS…..try “rubbing alcohol” solution. I have a watch box that has a rubber outer shell which went sticky. The rubbing alcohol has brought it back up like new.
Hi Sam. I followed a CS on my home from work. Now that might not sound that amazing, but I live in relatively sleepy Norfolk and you don't tend to see exotic cars, well except North Norfolk where the second home owners are, in which case Mclarrens are abundant!
Yes and Yes again in support of you doing a Defender restoration. RE a resto mod approach, sure but with taste otherwise like the body off redo of mechanical body back on . Cheers !
Man the way your GT3 is specced and with the custom interior as well, I honestly feel like if I were in your shoes I would never sell it if possible. It's so goddamn stunning!
Only watched a few minutes Sam but, try roads (some time) like the Atlantic Highway in Cornwall. A good hour of undulating road with lovely views. If you can be minded too, there's always the option of continuing up along the north Devon coast.
Owning a defender very much like yours I would absolutely love a defender restoration series. I've been trying to decide if I should do it myself. I'm just slightly terrified how much work actually needs doing once it begins :D
Great garage update. I say yes on the land-rover!! Must definitely get back to road ready to share with the family!! Cs needs stay close to factory spec . 3 porsche or 3 i would love .
YES do the restoration series. Would be awesome to see you doing some of the tasks, maybe with other youtubers like Matt Armstrong for some help, specialist companies that show you stuff
I think a Defender restoration series would be a good idea! Otherwise, it was nice to get updates on all the cars (as I haven't been watching content here for a while now).
The GT3 goes on Turo or other car rental app....Also want to add that Sam's garage is shaping up very nicely. I would change the Ferrari (355 is always my sentimental machine, but would prefer something front-engined). Other than that, shows you don't need an SUV! (even if he is going defender - but it's the family connection, so that's O.K.)
I'd absolutely watch a Defender restoration series.
Would love to see a defender series, if it were my car i wouldnt want to go to heavy modifying it, would keep the same engine and interior even if that makes it painfully slow, keep the dings keep the scratches make it reliable, safe and ready for adventure, load up and make more memories with your family. Thats the true forever car.
Team up with Bowler n build a road biased/touring oriented beast of a machine. A friend of mine has a Discovery that was sent to Bowler and built to suit his overlanding needs while having somewhere around 600bhp on tap if you wanna fly across salt flats or somethin.
You should keep that 911 forever. The spec is so very cool. And a Defender resto-mod series would be great, perhaps do it a bit like the Mr. JWW DBS restoration series.
The CS has the excitement the minute you start it. The GT3 may be a great car, but does not give back until you push it. The GT3 is great in theory, but there is probably always another car that does a better job (unless you are pushing it around a track). That is what I have decided and run a 458 Speciale and 911 C4S.
Would love to see the Defender restoration and or resto mod. Would also be interested in sort of the thinking behind how you choose whether to go original or updated. Cheers!
The video title should be 'First World Problems!'😂 I think the CS exhaust pretty much answered why the GT3 is driven less. Both cars did look awesome together... congrats on working hard to achieve that😀
I’d really like to see the Defender resto series! This kind of content is very popular at the moment, maybe JLR classic would like to help? Probably quite expensive though
Regarding the GT3, the interesting question would be comparing it to the Boxster experience. The Boxster is not in the same class, but for under $20k doesn't it deliver a better driving experience for those UK roads? I think if you live in Germany near the Ring then a GT3 makes sense. But paying $200k more for a GT3 to put around bad roads is in my mind a bad investment.
I would love a Defender restoration series.
Ugh no…
Watch “urban” or” jwws”build its not entertaining
Yep, need to see that👍
I'd absolutely watch that too. The video you did on your Dad's Defender was incredibly personal and touching. As a man who never cries, I'm not ashamed to say it made me shed a tear or two.

Yessss!
Yes. Go 4 it
Definitely up for a Land Rover restoration! Would love to see it
Defender restoration would be great!

Hope so 🤞
Maybe Archie would store it for you @sam 🤔
The Porsche has the same birthday as ur daughter, should be kept forever.
I have been watching this channel since its early alfa romeo days. Safe to say you made me fall in love with the F-type and I purchased my own recently. Absolute weapon! Can't thank you enough for all these entertaining videos and heres to many more to come!
Congratulations dude, it looks amazing! Is it as good as you'd have hoped?
I remember the Audi days pre 4c
F Types are so appealing on the used market now 👀
Don't forget his Abarth days!
@@AlvinBrinson oh yes!!
Hunt for a classic? -> Dad‘s LR 🙌🏻 Would totally watch a restoration series 👌🏻
The defender restoration would be great.
Always top point of week - an STG upload! Come to Denmark mate soon!

The Ferrari CS Is amazing!! LOVE this car!
YES LOVE A GARAGE UPDATE!
The exterior of the GT3 is lovely.
I'm a fan of the interior spec, too. The checkered pattern is a breath of fresh air in a sea of all-black GT3 interiors.
@@Kyuzeth Black isn't the only option. Tan leather looks wonderful with a green exterior.
@@resnonverba137Yes but that’s a PTS option and you have to request it from Porsche then they decide if you get it.
@@jryalls PTS is, as the acronym suggests, for paint. The tan leather interior was, I believe, a general option.
Usually when you peek in a gt3 you’re expecting no rear seat or cage, this car is defo something i need to get used to
Would definitely love to see the Defender get refreshed and restored. It has such a cool story it would make a great series.
I have a 2008 Defender and i would like to see the restoration? Your quite right the UK roads are awful If you want to have fun head north much less traffic
defender series NEEDS to happen, that would be awesome content to watch
Would love to see you take your dads Defender and make it the best version of itself. I think that would be a very nice project to follow along for sure.
Doing a Land Rover Defender series would be an incredible series to watch. Please make that how I start my Sunday mornings sometime soon!
i so love your b-roll and how you present things.
0:37 4:09 7:38 i mean the car as well... just brilliant
Yes on the Defender series!!
2:08 you should paint the big piece on the front bumper that is painted on the Touring. I've seen a 992 GT3 that had it done and it looked incredible.
New to the channel last 2 weeks. Great content.
Cheers from British Columbia Canada 🍻
Put 5000kms on my Porsche in 2 months. You inspire to drive.
Welcome!
Driven not hidden! 👍
Yes to the Landy series. Keep making the content you want to make. Love the production
Yes would like to see the defender restoration on this channel 👍
Yes on the LR restoration! Currently enjoying a bowler converted 90
Yes please to the defender restoration series!
A defender build would be great to watch.
What a garage collection you have. 👍
I was driving my M3 outside of Bruges heading toward Antwerp on a nice, pothole-less, windy road last week thinking it doesn’t get much better!
Defender series!!!!! Do it!!!!
Hi, Sam. I think doing a series on restoring your Dad's Defender would be great. Thanks for sharing all your adventures with us!
Definitely some defender videos 💪
Hi Sam !! Bring it on ... Defender Restoration would be fabulous ...!
Yes please for the Defender restoration series! Steve Booker had a great series on restoring an RR Classic👌🏻
I agree that a Defender restoration series would be fabulous. In terms of UK roads, they've definitely become worse in recent times. Great video as always Sam! As a Defender owner id be really interested in the restoration series! keep up the great work!
wing delete/ducktail mod on gt3 to get that touring style fully completed ?

Major yes to the defender retire series. Would be rare on TH-cam to see it through the eyes of an owner

Nene Overland could be a possible port of call if wanting to discuss a restoration series.
Love the Defender! Definitely keen for more of that 👏👏
STG. Quality unmatched. Top notch video
Would love to see the Defender restoration on the channel. Especially as there’s so much you can do with them.
That GT3 spec is astonishing. Top class

Midnight purple would look so good on the Panamera and yes will love to see the LR videos!
Love whole garage, would like to see a mini series on the Defender and forget the annoying British roads, green lanes all the way
Why didn’t you put a cover on it?
Owning a defender very much like yours I would absolutely love a defender restoration series. I've been trying to decide if I should do it myself. I'm just slightly terrified how much work actually needs doing once it begins :D
Definitely want to see the Defender more on the channel, a restoration series of videos would be awesome!👍👍
I think you have to go to Tenerife with this car.. it's gonna be great vedio and probably it is one of your best dream ..
Great garage update. I say yes on the land-rover!! Must definitely get back to road ready to share with the family!! Cs needs stay close to factory spec . 3 porsche or 3 i would love .

You have the right cars - change COUNTRIES! I am in Canada but just spent 10 dd on motorbike in Alps- mostly Switzerland. Magic place.
Big YES for a Defender-Series ❤❤❤
Definitely do a Defender series, there are loads of great restorers out there but if you want THE BEST in the game talk to Terry at Hayward Revive
Defender - yes - love it. Try Juice Motors, they're only down the road from you in Kent.
Yessss more defender content!
You should keep that 911 forever. The spec is so very cool. And a Defender resto-mod series would be great, perhaps do it a bit like the Mr. JWW DBS restoration series.

A big yes to a Landy restomod series.
Defender content for a British channel is a right of passage, so go for it. Also, which home nation has the better roads?? Super content as always 👌
I’d really like to see the Defender resto series! This kind of content is very popular at the moment, maybe JLR classic would like to help? Probably quite expensive though
