Just over 300 miles in this shoe, and finally watching a review about it. I will definitely start to incorporate a rotation of shoes like you said. I noticed I have worn a line into both arches of my feet due to wearing the same shoe for every run. Very informational, thank you.
I had my doubts becuase the last stability shoe I bought was awful and cause dme great pain in my foot and knees. I was expecting a similar result but decided to try it anyway. But I was wrong. Boy ,so much for expectations.. A very stable platform with great compensation for my overpronation. No aches, pains, hot spots or blisters. My only criticism is that the sole was a bit slippery in wet conditions. I am considering the Gaviota. How do yu rate these?
I'm an over-pronator and struggle to avoid niggles with my feet. I actually tend to buy neutral running shoes then stick my own orthotics in. Cliftons look interesting though and might give them a go but currently using the New Balance More v4 super cushion. I did buy some vaporflys but sold them after a couple of wears just due to how narrow they were, they just didn't feel stable (and my orthotics wouldn't fit in them). I'd like to find something for "race day" that perhaps has a carbon plate but is also not too narrow mid foot so I don't worry about going over on my ankle all the time. Useful vid cheers Martin.
Ive tried going down this route, had several sets but most have extremely high arches and they feel a bit alien in the shoe. Cliftons are ok so far, not quite as supportive as the arahi, but considerably better than most neutrals.
I considered these but went for the Graviota 4’s which are meant to be even more supportive than the Arahi. They’ve been great for walking but did not agree with me for running strangely and flared up my plantar fasciitis badly.
I have the Kayano 30 to replace this Arahi 6 but the Kayano despite being very plush ended up giving me blisters on my toes and doesn’t seem to take away my arch ache/pain that I get from running in my neutral shoe which the Arahi kinda solved. 😅 Arahi kinda solve it only but I’m still looking for a shoe that really solves it!
@@danielspeedminer4282 once id broke them in (got used to them) they were great. Gave me many hundreds of miles of support. They are not fancy or fast but sturdy as heck
I got the Arahi 6 too, have used it for most of my long runs, so far the only shoe that can bring me up to 30km. I have the same blister at the arch too but only once so far, not sure why, maybe due to socks. I had the same arch blister too in the last Arahi 4 but only after I have done like 350km on it.

Solid shoe, but definitely not an all the timer else that support will fight your arch to the death lol
I have this shoe :) Very happy

A bit harsh in the arch?
@@martin-boycethink I need support just not that much support! I’ll keep using them like you did as walking shoes and wear them to destruction!
That's why we ive migrated to the Cliftons. Mostly the same shoe just without being overly archy
Any suggestions from the community on alternatives to these? Ive had mine a while and considering trying something new. Im an over-pronator too
The closest I have used from another brand was the Asics Kayanos
@@martin-boyce so happy to hear, I have the ASICS Kayanos 30 in basket at the moment. Thank you

How’s the Cliftons so far for your over pronation issue?

@@martin-boyce hope you will do a video review of your Clifton, would like to hear in more detail from u
@@danielspeedminer4282 I definitely will. Been wearing them a while now.

My arahi 6 sole started to peel off after awhile, have you experienced this?
My j frame started coming off but only after 2 years
I did. Got the gaviota 4 afterwards.
