He came full circle with his song, he said I'll explain entertainers easily, kid screaming at a party and ends his song with "I'm just a kid". The dude is unmatched in his wit.
His performance of this song in his live show is much better, you can tell he is nervous and rushing here. But I love the dynamic of this clip... 20 year old Bo singing this directly to some of the biggest names in the game will never get old 😂 As Bo says, this song isn't funny but it helps him sleep at night. Shows his true character and what a good dude he is.
@@r4g1ngph03n1x sorry that was actually a typo I didn't notice, Bo was 20 when he filmed this and that's what I was trying to say- 20 year old Bo singing this to people over twice his age.
@@Itsant33 I hear you, maybe when this was filmed he was 19... but he says "no one wants to hear what a 20 year old thinks" in the video itself... so I think its fair to just say 20 yeah?
When I first watched the original video, I believe that Ray Ramano was the only guest on the show who was really taking in the lyrics. Ray had a look of respect on his face near the end of the song.
Man this is a tough setting. 20 years old…in front of comic icons and they’re busting his balls a bit. But you can see the awe in Ray Romano’s eyes of just how talented/ballsy Bo is.
I couldn't agree more, even more to the point I'd like to see the react to the green room conversations on their own merits, and watching the stage version of Art is Dead first you can see the differences.
idk i think the highlight of this song is the lyrics and all the lyrics are able to still clearly be heard. i dont really prefer one version over another
From the special the song was first heard on: "This song isn't funny at all, but it helps me sleep at night" The irony that other comedians asked him to play this song, expecting a laugh out of it 😂
At this point in his career, Bo has done FAR more profound work than any of those other, older comics have in their entire careers combined. And that's not to say those other guys aren't good comics or that they haven't done good things. They're just not on Bo's level, lol.
Massachusetts native what's good my dude bo his pandemic special was amazing, he is so very talented his old stuff and new school stuff he is very underestimated
I feel like Bo is roasting those comedians, that are forcing laughs because they think what's he's saying is suppose to be funny, not understanding that they are being dissed.
5:29 I'm just grateful that Carlin was around before this "Cancel Culture". If he was still around now, we'd probably know where he would tell those folks where to go.
Man... check the context of the video with the song he's singing..... I live in Australia and I reckon I could still have thrown a frisbee over your head.....
He is depressed. Always has been. He has anxiety and panic attacks like I do. What makes a good comedian is studying others and learning life fast, because your scared, anxiety filled life. This makes some people feel older, and learn life lessons faster, but don't live life. Life isn't as grand when you see the ups and downs and mention truthfully, and the best way is through comedy about harsh topics.
It seems that mrlboyd has been recycling his most watched Bo Burnham reactions. This isn't the first time I've noticed it but it is a little ironic (I think) to use this particular song to help monetize his channel. If I am wrong about any of this please feel free to point it out and I'll stand corrected.
He's been reuploading older videos for months, moving them to this newly created only music reactions. He's made a couple of videos explaining it. The reason why he's still reuploading videos, is that he's had his channel for years.
You can tell his face is getting madder because they are laughing at this absolute serious song. What’s funny about feeling guilty of not being able to feed a poor family?

40 year old Bo? Bo is only 32 now and this was a few years ago lol.

This was his first album so and he was 19
@Itsant33 I didn't realize we were nitpicking 19 vs 20...

"I wanted my name in lights, when we could have fed a family of four for 40 fucking fortnights" That hit HARD
His word play is out of this world for almost 20 years straight. I've been a fan for over 15 years.
Bo’s “We Think We Know You.”
It’ll blow you away
As an artist, this is my favorite Bo Burnham song, period.
oh yes, I am here for the bo burnham, "yo bo " is a oldie but a goodie :)
Pretty sure he reacted to that one alread
I f*****g hate it when people react to this version instead of the original stage version

I don't think he actually believes Bo is a prop comic , he was just making a joke that he uses a piano

That is entirely subjective. You get that, right? Art is and must be subjective.
@@D0nut42 Yeah, I get it. I'm not saying my opinion is the only valid one.
I enjoy your insight, but you also have a soothing voice. Please continue to review videos
This is the best philosophical song he has ever done
You should check the entire conversation of the green room where this bit is from
I specifically would like more of this specific type of content
You and me both.
Massachusetts native what's good my dude bo his pandemic special was amazing, he is so very talented his old stuff and new school stuff he is very underestimated
Bo Burnham always pulls me out of the dark places and this time he's lead me to you. Thanks for the video!
He always kills it
The version from his 'what.' special is the true version. This one was absent half of the presentation.
This song wasn't in 'what.', it was in 'Words Words Words'. But I agree the version in the special is the superior version
This whole aeries of the back room for comedians is great, you should definitely check more of them out.
I actually hate this performance because after he says all of that, they just ignore it. Even the guy who asked him to play the song brushes it off..
ray romano made a joke btw, he's an old school comic
Ray is a comic? Could've fooled me 😂
I feel like Bo is roasting those comedians, that are forcing laughs because they think what's he's saying is suppose to be funny, not understanding that they are being dissed.
Bo Burnham - I'm Bo Yo
5:29 I'm just grateful that Carlin was around before this "Cancel Culture". If he was still around now, we'd probably know where he would tell those folks where to go.
Pretty sure the prop comic line is an intentional joke about the piano 😂
Bo Burnham- RANT is great and it’s not the Kanye one!

Bo is a huge Carlin fan
Ray Romano saying he’s a prop comic is a joke because he’s using the piano.

@@henrytawnn8694 Thanks for taking the time to clarify. I don't watch the other channel so didn't know but this explains it. Thanks!
Feel like Art is Dead would resonate with you.
Have you already done these reacts and these are reuploads? I could have swore I watched you do this one before
yes he is reuploading all music reactions on this channel and removing them from his main one
My favorite people are welloff people who recognize their class ... position. (I don't really like the word "privilege.)
+1 for context
The irony is that the song proves art is alive and well by exposing itself as deceitful.
You can tell his face is getting madder because they are laughing at this absolute serious song. What’s funny about feeling guilty of not being able to feed a poor family?
No bo isn't a prop comic. Thats more Carrot Top.
Manga and bandcamp and unerrated artists
art is dead
Calling out capitalism which is progressive.
This was definitely the wrong version for reacting.
Performance during his special was waaaaaaaaay better
Jesus Christ- you looking at the watch/phone (I am sure that you will say lyrics) is disembodying for the song. No thanks.
This is by far the worst version of this song.
Prop comic was a joke.
tip for people who listen to music with lyrics:
in your brain, replace "art" with "fart" and laugh to yourself over how stupid the song is now.
Please STOP ending every sentence with RIGHT? a question into the void.
