I agree wholeheartedly. I think that people sometimes get stuck in a certain perspective, as it was the one that was given to them. We're handed a point of view from the moment we enter this world, and the easiest thing to do is run with it our entire life. It was placed in our lap, so why run the extra mile when everything we've ever known is right in front of us. This mindset, this phenomenon, is what causes people to forget that maybe, just maybe, the thing we're looking for is a little farther than the box we were raised in. Maybe we're close, or maybe we need to reroute our entire brain, but whatever the case thinking is important, and contemplation is key to living.

In the echoes of philosopher's minds, a question stirs profound, Jeremy Bentham's inquiry, in ethics we resound, Can animals suffer? A crucial query to explore, As we ponder their sentience, their pain forevermore. For in the vast expanse of Earth's diverse domain, We witness creatures in every shape and name. From soaring birds to graceful deer in forests deep, Their lives intertwined with ours, a promise we must keep. With Bentham's fervent plea, we must heed the call, To recognize their plight, and yet not be enthralled. For in their eyes, we see reflections of our own, A shared capacity to feel, to love, to be known. In slaughterhouses dark, where cries and anguish blend, We confront our choices, if our hearts we choose to mend. For what gives us the right to take their lives away, To prey upon the helpless, with no heed to what they say? Let empathy guide our steps on this moral path,
no eating pork was from time when they were not properly heated, all large animal meat has worms in them, but pork was often the case for worms.. same as "don't eat anything from sea without scales" is because cooking wasn't perfected
It wasnt shock value for his fans at the time. He'd already done the (Pope) Rant and quite a lot of edgy/"did he really say that" material at this point.
It’s ironic that so many are anti-religious and especially anti-Semitic, yet agree with the message here. For thousands of years, the core message of Judaism is Tikkun Olam - to focus on improving the world in some small way. “Earth could be Heaven” is exactly the point and the goal in Judaism.
I'm about 3 minutes in so this might chance, but I don't see this song as an attack on christians in general so much as those christians who value strict adherence to the rules over treating others with kindness and compassion. This is actually something Jesus himself talks about in Luke 11:37-46. In the end, he's saying stop being so concerned with being perfect and just be kind to one another.
I grew up in a religious house going to Sunday school for years but slowly we stopped going to church just becase of time. I personally think it was a good thing becase it let me form my own opinion about god and death. years before this song came out I came to a similar conclusion for a lot of the video. Mostly the sims part and how doing good just to get to heaven does not work.
I'm sad that I only recently have gained an appreciation for Bo's early material, and he's now gone Billy Joel in lamenting the shit that made him famous.
This was my problem with religion and why I never got into it despite being interested when I was little, because I saw that this organization and philosophy which was supposed to spread love, kindness, tolerance and peace ended up causing so much hate, mistreatment, intolerance and so much war. Pride is one of the 7 deadly sins of man, and yet hearing the phrase “humanity was made in gods image” from the mouth of someone supposedly virtuous doesn’t strike them as being even remotely ironic.
his theology is not really sound lol obviously but its not about that so much that as it is the greater hypocrisy of the values and views of the human racist. Its Brilliant.

So shelled fish and pork, even to this day, have some of the highest levels of toxicity that humans consume. Pigs digestional system is among the most similar to humans, and shelled fish serve the purpose of filtering the body of water they reside in. Imagine emptying your brita and frying the filter up and eating it. Back in the day the main reasons known for avoiding such foods were that most swine were considered filthy living garbage disposals. A lot of people would become ill form both pork and shelled fish. That's just a small amount of info. I'm not certain off hand how the correlations were then transfered to the Abrahamic Traditions, but I'm certain there's info about it.
Additionally, dietary restrictions were out in place to be a distinguishing marker between God’s chosen people (Israel) and the Gentiles (non-Jews). Ultimately the laws of the Old Testament were there to point to Christ who would fulfill the whole Law on behalf of those who would have faith in Him. You have heard the saying “vote with your dollars”, well, in a similar way you vote with your stomach. God’s people would be distinguishable in multiple ways including even by what they eat, and this further shows Christ’s righteousness because He kept the whole Law perfectly which no mere man could do.

Lemme tell you something, MRLBOYD and MRLBOYD's audience: FIrst, I most of the time really enjoy your reactions , but you know what's absolutely diabolical? That in today's America (and thus in the field of social networks in general) you can't actually use words - and most confusingly, you censor not only N-word, F-word. C-word and so on, but even the R-word. Don't take me wrong - you still know them you still use them, you just falsely pretend you don't by not pronouncing them, but at the same time you make pretty sure everyone gets which words you mean. Isn't it stupid? Isn't it hypocritical? What are you trying to pretend? That it doesn't exist? Isnt' that just even more harmful? I'll tell you the continental European perspective - it most definitely is. And unitll you guys overseas don't do something about it, your culture will remain in it's current confused state. I'm not saying people should be rude to one another, but there should be no harm seen in just descriptively using words. Wake up, people! Just imagine if someone was prosecuted for "R-ing" people, and that was the way how it was reffered to at court. It would've looked so lame... It's not "R-ing", let's be real, it's "raping". And it's a vile thing, but also it's just a descriptive word for that act. The word on it's own does not offend anybody.
As a near victim of r🦍, who only got saved last second by a bouncer at the club it almost took place at, I have no problems saying that word. I only don't do it, because of the TH-cam autocensor. Call a spade a spade. Softening the language doesn't make things go away. It just makes communication harder.
@@LongandWeirdName And I thank you (you're making the world a better place by doing so, I believe), I aplaude you (you have to be brave to do so) and I admire you (I wish I had the courage you have) for what you said - considering the circumstances even more so! Wish you all the good things in life to come!
As he has said, he isn’t censoring those words because he doesn’t want you to hear about it or talk about it; he does it because TH-cam is far more likely to demonetize the video (or not suggest it with their algorithm) if those certain words are detected when the automatic transcriptions are made.
@@CraigKostelecky Him? Yes. The easily offended crowd? Not so much. Original Poster was taking this chance to speak about the wider issue. That was a pun. I am aware it's originally a pair). I agree with OP on language getting too soft and find calling it r-word absolutely other-r-worded(slowed down/special needs) and counterproductive. You are just making the other person say it in their head. And they can get things wrong and think you mean a person from a reservation... You know... A first nations guy... An indigenous person? There are so many × words that have locally restricted use that this is making some parts of language impossible to decypher. Say what you mean. The harm it does is lesser than not saying it at all and growing a generation totally unprepared as the topic has never been breached, because some people forbade us from saying those words.

With Bentham's fervent plea, we must heed the call,
To recognize their plight, and yet not be enthralled.
For in their eyes, we see reflections of our own,
A shared capacity to feel, to love, to be known.
In slaughterhouses dark, where cries and anguish blend,
We confront our choices, if our hearts we choose to mend.
For what gives us the right to take their lives away,
To prey upon the helpless, with no heed to what they say?
Let empathy guide our steps on this moral path,
Ah! This guy learned his craft listening to the great Aussie Tim Minchin 😐
no eating pork was from time when they were not properly heated, all large animal meat has worms in them, but pork was often the case for worms.. same as "don't eat anything from sea without scales" is because cooking wasn't perfected
It wasnt shock value for his fans at the time. He'd already done the (Pope) Rant and quite a lot of edgy/"did he really say that" material at this point.
Oooh Im early!!
Love this song
I wish I could thumbs up twice 👍👍
Bro the thumbnail is from welcome to the internet
Mistrel, very good reaction.
Bill hicks said the same thing in his last ride but still nobody listens
The lyrics of this song is only shocking in the US. It seems that states so utterly captured by religion finds even the tamest jesting outrageous.
I know its probably gunna get demontized but you should listen to klan kookout by bo too
His most shocking song is eff
I'm sad that I only recently have gained an appreciation for Bo's early material, and he's now gone Billy Joel in lamenting the shit that made him famous.
Btw, if you censor as much as your cousin, only Sesame Street and Bluey will make an ounce of sense afterwards
I love that much of religious commentary is not anti-faith. It's anti-shame.
It's so appropriate that you're wearing a Naruto top during this reaction because Naruto is my religion.
Religious Trauma 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Heaven is just idealized future society, it's not supposed to be about individuals
Interesting Thumbnail. 😅
not sure if he's an atheist, but i know he's intelligent as fuck
Bo grew up in a christian household
He is actually right about the heaven thing
But wrong about the overpopulation and gay people thing
Why so worried aboutb"curse words"? It's about context with language, not the actual word. I could say stupid and it would be much more offensive than "you're fucking awesome!"
+
Rape is actual not a crime in the Bible or Quran
Dude - just do a Bo Burnham-athon. I promise you - it will be cry-worthy chronologically.'
Am I insane? Are these videos not reposts?
He got a “new” channel for all his music reactions. He has been pouring in the reposts with newer videos to have them all in one spot.
Bo was raised christian
Man why keep ruining all the jokes by pausing every 5 words. It's pretty simple, setup, punchline, pause and comment if you need/want to.
I don't see the problem here, it's his first time listening to the songs and he's pausing to add comment when there's something he wants to comment on. If you want to hear the song without him pausing just go listen to it
@@Pigeon249 When did I say I wanted to hear the song without pausing?
@@AkumaGekido I never said you did, I just said that if you're gonna cry about him pausing the video then just go watch it yourself
@@Pigeon249 First of all nobody is crying. This is a TH-cam comment section, therefore I have every right to, you guessed it, comment on the video. Many other reactors manage to post videos such as these without trampling all over the content.
@@AkumaGekido Well then go watch other reactors and stop crying :)
i understand why u censor some words but can someone explain me why censor "mastrubation" ? isnt it a world like "Bird" i mean whats bad about that word ?
fun fact but for me this is one of his more harmless videos xD but then i am from europe religion is a thing teached in historiy class for me xD
Definitely not his most out their song.
He had a song called the Klan Cookout.
Love Bo bit not a fan of your thumbnails for his reactions.
Using a still from Welcome to the intenet for Gods perspective 🙄 two different eras for him.
Using the video image for Oh Bo but the concert footage. Not great.
I watched because I enjoy Bo. Although I hope you are more honest/considerate hoing forward.
now in the light of star treks progenetors species philosphy in the spirit of the guardians of forever and beneficiant thanos undo the evil of the world in song, just for fun ;)
(Verse)
In the realm of Star Trek's visionary reach,
Where philosophy and grandeur interweave,
The Progenitors shine with wisdom and grace,
Guiding us to a future, unified by embrace.
Their ancient echoes through time's vast hallways,
Remind us of our duty, in these fleeting days,
To stand as guardians, protectors of all,
To answer the call, hear the universe's call.
(Chorus)
With the spirit of the Guardians of Forever,
And the benevolent heart of Thanos, clever,
We sing a song of hope, to undo evil's tether,
Together, we'll transcend, create a world that's better.
(Verse)
With compassion as our compass, we'll boldly go,
Exploring new frontiers, let prejudice erode,
Embracing diversity, in every shape and form,
For a future that's united, where all can be reborn.
In the face of darkness, we'll be the guiding light,
Spreading love and justice, like stars shining bright,
For every life matters, from the smallest to the grand,
In this symphony of existence, let harmony expand.
(Bridge)
In our hands lies the power to shape destiny,
To rewrite the narrative, break the chains that be,
With empathy as our weapon, divisions we'll mend,
A tapestry woven, a universe on the mend.
(Chorus)
With the spirit of the Guardians of Forever,
And the benevolent heart of Thanos, clever,
We sing a song of hope, to undo evil's tether,
Together, we'll transcend, create a world that's better.
(Outro)
So let us sing this melody, across time and space,
A joyous celebration, a harmonious embrace,
In the spirit of Star Trek's legacy we'll soar,
Creating a universe where love and peace restore.
I'm not certain off hand how the correlations were then transfered to the Abrahamic Traditions, but I'm certain there's info about it.
pigs are extremely clean animals, the environments humans put them in factory farms leave them no choice to be clean.
DUDE WATCH VIDEO
you can re-read the lyrics. you are missing performance, timing, expression, nuance to READ. this isnt a book. do u think the audience received printouts to follow along with at the show?
not you'r first reacction to that one xD really?
Wow.. using the clickbait thumbnail is low my guy...
I can't watch this constantly censored video. Bo's art is more important than your monetization.
White knights and special precious snowflakes don't want to hear the words. Claim they hurt them. Give them Post-Traumatic Stress. As someone who has been through nearly all of an incident of r🦍, except for actual penetration, someone who's been through being beaten up, intimidated, shown how small, insignificant, and weak I am against a stronger human, I only wish to tell those snowflakes to... get a tree of the pyrus communis species, test the pH of the soil, pick the correct facing side of the yard to plant it, cut off branches and attach ones from a proven cultivar, and grow a pear(Yes.
@@LongandWeirdName I agree with all of that.
I just feel none of your vids of genuine lol. You're reactions are too different. Like you already know.
