There are still real talents in country music but you wont hear them on the radio. They are too busy playing whatever the record companies pay them to play.
Things labeled "country" is generally exactly like this. Usually if you want actual, substantive music with feeling it's things labeled "folk" and/or "indie" or a combination. There are a lot of younger artists that really have great music. Gems On VHS do a really good job showcasing some different ones.
yup like Morgan wallen who doesn't even write his own songs what a hack not to mention him hating black people and causing fights and I think it was him who threw a chair off a tall building yet got no jail time yet usually something like that will net at least some even if its like 30 days
I took the singing in Mandarin line as when you don't really listen to the lyrics most country music sounds so similar that the words often don't matter. Lower your expectations is a great song if you haven't heard it yet. Someone Committed Murder Down on Music Row sung by George Strait and Alan Jackson (I believe) calls out newer country music like this song. I would love to see you react to more Ren songs or to VoicePlay.
This is one of my favourite parodies by Bo, and he's absolutely right. Good reaction as always, but you missed the best bar in the whole song: "Like Mike's Evandering, fuck your ears, I'm pandering." I lost it the first time I heard it.
Its true that there are artists like that in all genres of music but very few other genres try to project such an air of authenticity as country music.
I think his call out to rappers was extremely spot on. Millionaires trying to pass off as gangsters is as common if not more than what happens in country music.
This song made me appreciate Andre 3k even more. Once he's realised, he's made it and outgrew his roots, he stepped away from the mic, saying he didn't have anything left to say.
Fun fact: The whole uprising of "Stadium Country" started out towards the end of the 2000's into the early 2010's. One of the bigger proponents of it was the dude that produced Nickleback. He moved to Nashville and it all went downhill from there.
Love your reactions! Also, That Funny Feeling by Bo Burnham is a favorite of mine 30 is another one of his, very relevant when it came out, because I had turned 30 at the time.
Keith Urban is a country artist who makes himself sound like he’s from the US but he’s from Australia (I believe, might be New Zealand) and his music sounds all the same, textbook country garbage. Some country artists are very very good, I recommend the Zac Brown Band.
Keith Urban is a HUGE pander-bear, I do like his song 'Blue' an a few others I can't think of off the top of my head but he's a huge offender in terms of masquerading as a country boy. When I heard his real speaking voice I was blown away because I had no idea he was bullshitting his "country" at the time& didn't expect him to be Australian🥴🤣
gerrymandering has always been used in our states and that's why you see that states are consistently democrat or republican it doesn't matter how many people are actually voting democrat or republican because your state can gerrymander itself into whatever political group because as long as long it isn't gerrymandering based on race they can and still do it till this day.
It's also one of those issues where it is hard to prove the exact intent behind the lines drawn. Redistricting happens as population changes, so there is a need to redraw the districts to attempt to spread evenly divide representation. Gerrymandering happens, but the reality is that sometimes it's just redistricting. How do you set out rules for where to draw the lines that won't have one side or the other claiming they are being cheated? Anyway, the uniparty always wins. Doesn't much matter if the name has an R or D next to it.. government grows and the people get screwed. The parties are just an illusion to make the people argue with each other and feel like they have a say.
Keith Urban is Australian American, and has a great voice and a couple really good songs. I used to love his work, but it hasn't held up and is rarely reacted to because it was basic. "Stupid Boy" is the best one I can think of right now, and I definitely recommend it. Bo wasn't wrong in naming him, though. His voice was the draw, not songwriting or guitar, and it didn't seem to matter what he sang, he could make it near the top of the charts without substance.
Keith Urban has done a lot of basic pop crap, but he still isn't the worst offender in my opinion. When I think of straight up terrible and pandering, Luke Bryan is at the top of my list. I never understood how he made it so big because even his voice is mediocre at best.
@@bfsgman I don't listen to a lot of the modern stuff anymore, and this special is over 7 years old when he was even less of a household name. Keith was early to mid 00's, putting him in the periphery of Bo's rise to fame, so it made more sense.

Still trying to figure out your persona. You can't possibly gasp and be shocked by every line of every song in existence, yet you do and are. And no one speaks like they're trying to over emphasize every syllable and letter, except you I guess. It's like you're trying to teach a new level of grammar. Did you host an NPR show at some point? Just curious. Please respond. Huge fan.🤣
@Michelle West I don't get to travel to see new bands. One Country band I got into was the Randy Rogers Band, but that was like a decade ago. "In My Arms Instead" is still on my playlist when I get into a Country mood, though.
I have hated country for most of my life, as I grew older I learned a lot more about some of these artists and grew a respect for the hard work and toil. Then (I blame the Garth Brooks era) it just became the same shit, country, boy bandZ, it all just went to shit for a while.
I feel like you didn't really get this song. It's funny but not his best. Try his Kanye rant. That one is powerful. It starts out silly and gets you laughing you ass off then does a 180 and hits yoh with some truth. A lot if his music is that way.
As a country fan, he couldn't be more correct. Stadium country is so incredibly shallow. Classic country actually has a lot of depth.
There are still real talents in country music but you wont hear them on the radio. They are too busy playing whatever the record companies pay them to play.
The best parts of this reaction are when you just go "...oh no" 😂
If you ever want to see some of his newer songs then "Welcome to the internet" is a really good one
He's done Welcome to the Internet
@@gustamantis1995 Oh ok, I just couldn't find it on his channel
@Tjalerken - Welcome to the internet and a bunch of other Bo content is actually on his other channel MrLboyd Reacts
All eyes on me is his best imo
Your little interjection of "It's the scarecrow bro!" Makes it seem like you have done the same to a scarecrow too 😂😂

It's not "some", it's easily 90% of every country song made in the past decade. People still fall for it though
yup like Morgan wallen who doesn't even write his own songs what a hack not to mention him hating black people and causing fights and I think it was him who threw a chair off a tall building yet got no jail time yet usually something like that will net at least some even if its like 30 days

dude ethered the entire genre of stadium country
The key change was beautiful lol and yhe scarecrow bit was hilarious
"pander bears" 😂😂😂.
This song made me appreciate Andre 3k even more. Once he's realised, he's made it and outgrew his roots, he stepped away from the mic, saying he didn't have anything left to say.
I'd I had it my way, every reacter would react to every video Bo has ever made. 👍
He didn't say he spoke Mandarin. He meant, if he DID speak (insert foreign language) and you'd still be able to tell its pandering.

Thought I already saw you react to this one? I agree with you, though- Bo is right and this goes on within all genres.
'Art is dead' or 'From gods perspective ' are both good
More bo burnham please!

Harry Mack did a crazy set backstage at NBA Live

Reminds me of Tom Segura messing with Garth Brooks.

You didn't know he was Australian? Which doesn't neccesarily mean he someone isn't country however. Yes he does pander
Here for the Specific Content that is Bo Burnham
on the gerrymanderin' note.........its illegal here in Ohio but the state legislature said "eh fuck it" =[
I hope you laugh a bit more after a few watches.cuz u will watch it again and again.

I believe his name is Bo, its an older swedish name, maybe one of his parents or grandparents are from sweden, idk
Bo is short for Bob which is short for Robert

Gives luke bryan vibes
modern country music is easily the worst genre of music. zero substance it's actually pathetic
listen to "Wait in the truck" by HARDY and say that again. There are still gems, they're just not common.

people and the governments do a lot of things not legal
Popular coutry music is mostly made up of posers.
