If you don’t want to use glycolic acid and tretinoin (aka retin-a) together you can alternate days as well. Also, if you use a product with retin-a it should be at night and *NEVER* use retin-a with benzoyl peroxide!! They cancel each other out so definitely use those at different times of day! Like she said in the video, light (as well as oxygen, heat, etc.) oxidize anti-oxidant products like retin-a and vitamin C so it’s best to use them at night right before you go to sleep to get the most benefit out of it!

Have you checked out Purito's Centella Unscented Serum? It shares several ingredients with the DRMTLGY serum (peptides, 1 ceramide, niacinamide, HA). They're not identical of course and I probably wouldn't consider it a dupe, but it's 1/3 the price.
Timeless Vit C is my holy grail! I just feel it gets into my skin. And it’s more effective my sun spots are almost completely gone and I’ve only been using it for 3 months. Also what lipstick or colors do you have on?

For me, nothing beats K-beauty or J-beauty (hada Labo specifically), when it comes to hydrating toner/serum/essence. It they are affordable but so effective.
hmm. it's a bit hard to take what you say about having sensitive skin seriously - if you're using tretinoin nightly, a 20% vitamin c serum in the morning (actually 20% is on the higher potency end of vit c serums - studies have shown that the skin doesn't really absorb much of it beyond 20%) plus a strong glycolic acid exfoliant (12% is already a bit higher than most - many of them are usually around 10%?). i'd actually consider something like The Ordinary's 7% glycolic toner to be on the lower end, rather than this 12% G&G one. you're actually using a lot of strong actives (none of these products are on the "lower end" of their respective categories...) and very frequently. perhaps that might be why you're experiencing sensitised skin?
Curology tretinoin has been wonderful for my skin. I apply it over moisturizer so my skin won't flake, which it does if I put the tret. on before moisturizer. I plan to try the Timeless vitamin C serum. I find chemical exfoliants irritating when I use retinoids. I can use Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid about once a week during the day without irritation. I've learned to avoid a morning cleanser. because my skin become very dry and sensitive afterwards.

Just got drmtlgy vitamin c & their tinted spf. Looking at the timless one I’m wishing I got that instead! Prob doesn’t matter. I’ve always had horrible luck w vitamin C. I’ve tried all of the ordinarys except the powder one, paulas choice... & always end up w something that looks like clogged pores all over my face Fingers crossed this one works

Do the sandwich method which is moisturize, wait half an hour, tret, and wait another half hour and then moisturizer. Tret for anti-aging is a long game. Trying to see results faster may increase irritation.
This is so useful! I love vitamin C and Niacinamide, I've used most of TO's vitamin C serums and also 1% retinol from Lixir skin as I find it a good strength of OTC retinol with minimal ingredients. My skin is so dry so am a bit scared to use tret though.

Yes! So I cleanse first, then exfoliate with glycolic acid if I’m using, then use vitamin C after (or in place of glycolic acid a different day), hydrating serum, moisturizer, sunscreen. PM is cleanse, needle-less, moisturizer, Tretinoin!

How does the needleless serum compare to the Timeless CoQ10 serum? I also use my tretinoin on top of my moisturizer and it's just as effective but a lot less irritating! (Got that tip from Dr. Dray.)

its prescription. if you have insurance and get it through your doctor it can be pretty cheap (i pay about $10 every 1-2 months) but through curology its about $20 or more a month

What percentage of tretinoin are you using? I use the lowest dose Rx after moisturizer, but wonder if I should move to 0.05% or apply direct to skin then moisturize since I have noticed only a small improvement.

I used Maelove before switching to Timeless and didn't notice any increased irritation (I also use tret). I would order direct from Timeless if you can, it is more freshly made and I've heard a lot of people who order from Target online complain the product is oxidized. its prescription. if you have insurance and get it through your doctor it can be pretty cheap (i pay about $10 every 1-2 months) but through curology its about $20 or more a month

I am thinking of including copper peptides to my routine. But I have heard that it will not be good in the same routine with retinal. Your serum has also copper peptides and you are using it with tretinoin. Do you know more about that?

What percentage of tretinoin are you using? I use the lowest dose Rx after moisturizer, but wonder if I should move to 0.05% or apply direct to skin then moisturize since I have noticed only a small improvement.

My father is a dermatologist and he starts patients at the 0.05 %. If you move up in strength you will see better results.

I'm really tempted to try that Timeless Vit C serum once I'm finished with my current bottle of Maelove Glow Maker...but that jump from 15% to 20% got my Tret face saying "Hmm girl maybe not"... 7 dollars cheaper tho and available on Target's website.....Hmmm 😂😂😂
I used Maelove before switching to Timeless and didn't notice any increased irritation (I also use tret). I would order direct from Timeless if you can, it is more freshly made and I've heard a lot of people who order from Target online complain the product is oxidized. Hot n flashy here on TH-cam has a discount code.
