I have been a Holistic Master Esthetician for almost 40 years. I work with hundreds of thousands of clients and The issue with Vitamin C is that it can be the most difficult to make. Many are in dark bottles because they oxidize so easily and companies don’t want you yo know this or see it. We use Gold, an incredible antioxidant and it stabilizes the vitamin C and it’s incredible. Look for bottles that show the vitamin C ( it should look like orange juice ) and for Small Batched Companies. Not the mass produced products. Ph is very important but your skin has to also be ready for actives. There is so much more to understand besides PH. Although I like how you test them. Thanks for recommending a vitamin C serum for us European viewers. I was so bummed a couple of years ago when Timeless all of a sudden stopped sending it to Europe. Before it never had been a problem.
When I asked my dermatologist if I should use Vit C, she waved her hand & said, ‘By the time u get it, it will probably have lost its strength’. I had already purchased both of those L’Oréal ones u’ve shown, which did nothing for me. I’m really glad I tuned in to ur video & I will soon purchase the Timeless one. Such a great video!
Honestly, on the vitamin C serum hunt , I landed on Timeless and I’ve just stayed. Their CoQ 10 and peptide serums are all really good and if you buy the 4oz bottles, it turns out that a holiday is coming up just as you’re getting low and they have a sale. Win-win 😊

I have been using Timeless vitamin C based on your recommendation a few years ago. It is truly the best! I absolutely love the new packaging! I keep my vitamin C in the refrigerator, and I’ve had it for months, and it’s still perfect! Thanks for all you do, Angie!

My problem with the packaging is the size of the bottle- it’s much larger than it needs to be or make the half oz size bottle refillable. They may consider as they get a lot of inquiries regarding such. I keep mine in the fridge also- always have but I never had a problem with it going off because I would immediately place half in a previous bottle and refrigerate per your suggestion. In the overall scheme of things, it’s a minor annoyance😊

If I understood correctly, vitamin C has an acidic form (the most effective and unstable) - it is ascorbic acid and there are other forms that are non-acidic but stable...
It is very disappointing and quite surprising that L'Oreal would market such a poorly formulated Vitamin C serum. I would expect a lot better from a world leader in the cosmetics industry. It makes me question their integrity, especially when it comes to skincare. Thank you for enlightening us!

I feel like Vitamin C is a talked about ingredient in skincare so companies think just adding it to a formula and putting it in the product name will get people to buy it. Fortunately several of the options on Angie’s “best of” list are effective and reasonably priced. I’ve been using Dr. Brenner for the past year and I’m thrilled with the results.
I started using the 10% Vit C Serum from Timeless when you did your testing video on that, and since moved up to the 20%. I used to use the Skinceuticals serum for years, but my budget now can’t support that. The Timeless serum is much better at a much cheaper price than Skinceutucals in my opinion. Timeless absorbs immediately and isn’t sticky., and very effective. I could see immediate improvement in my skin and wrinkles, pores and dark spots diminishing quickly. I found ordering from Timeless directly too they have great sales, and bigger sizes. I bought the 4 oz size and also use on my arms to combat a “farmer tan” I’m not sure how I got because I use sunscreen and avoid the sun. Timeless has made a HUGE improvement on my arms as well. I now use many other Timeless products and couldn’t be happier. I do wish Timeless had a Resversatol Serum. Thank you Angie for introducing me to Timeless!

Well! I tested the PH of my C serum at $68.00 an oz and it run the darkest green on my test kit. I'm bummed but so glad I know NOW after about three years.
I use The Inkey List Vitamin C and quite like it. It feels like silk on my skin. I have been following your recent AM and PM routines but with different brands for some things (The Inkey List and The Ordinary) and have gotten several compliments on my skin recently. I am 66.
That was fun. I went through a whole, VERY expensive bottle of Dr. Sturm’s Vitamin C with absolutely no change. So I heard a dermatologist recommend Maelove as a good dupe for Skin Ceuticals, (it has ferulic acid and some other ingredients), and within 3 days saw a huge improvement. Don’t know the pH, but to me the results speak for themselves. The ferulic acid has a bit of a funky smell when applied, but it does dissipate.
on my ordering history, timeless, vitamin C is the best as I have purchased a total of 53 bottles now. This was all because of Angie’s recommendation when she tested it years ago. It’s in an airless pump so it does not break down and I get so many compliments on my skin because I have used it for several years. The only other bargain vitamin C she has recommended in the pass is Dr. Brenner’s squalane C serum. It is heavier than timeless, but also really good. Thank you Angie for allowing us to geek out with you today.
@@heidikamrath1951 I use about 3 pumps on my face and neck twice per day. My skin tolerates it well but some people cannot use it twice per day. Also I know Angie likes the green toner. I put it in a misting spray bottle and lightly mist my face before using the Timeless. Hope this helps. P. S. If you have Amazon put your Timeless on auto renew every 30 days.

A big win! I bought the test strips, because I had some Maelove vitamin C serum that changed color overnight. I think it was due to the extreme cold weather we had. The house had gotten very cold. I was thinking I was going to have to throw it out. However, I saw your testing strip tutorial, bought the strips, and tested my serum. It was just fine! Geek and gorgeous is also a good deal for us in the US! I get 2 every 6-8 months and keep refrigerated with their mini 10ml bottle on my vanity. So good. I’m shocked L’Oréal sucks so much. I’ve seen a dermatologist recommending that one and would rather buy the geek and gorgeous.

That influencer is probably one who gave incorrect info on charging the Omnilux mask I bought that is still sitting, unopened in the box, for fear of using it. Yes, I bought based on Angie whom I trust, but also became discouraged after another user claimed it is a different company now, and her under eyes were more wrinkly after using, a result I would not want. So, right now, I am using Angie's a.m./p.m. routine/products. Trying to get the nerve to open the more expensive item🙆
Yes, I've been using Timeless Vit C for years now, ever since I saw Angie recommend it. I've been using the 20% Vit C for over a year. I recently bought the Big Daddy 4 oz bottle. He sits in my fridge! Love this Vit C ❤️

Angie - can you do a deeper dive into red light devices and infrared therapy? The research is quite vague. For example, the results published are in the vein of merely stating “wrinkle reduction” and “more collagen” without quantifying it in any way. Can you research this also?

Thanks Angie for testing Geek&Gorgeous, I’ve never heard about it before. Living in Denmark, Europe, it’s impossible to get Timeless vitamin C serum. So now I know what to go for 😊 Have bought the Timeless C-serum on Amazon, but testing it with my ph-paper showed it was neutral, so either I’ve bought a fake product or maybe the serum was very old.

I love these test to see exactly what is in the product compared to their claims. I love that the Timeless comes in a container that keeps the C from exposure. I do find in the winter I go down to the 10% but in the summer I use the 20%. I read or heard that vitamin C also helps your sunscreen work and i am definitely on board for that. I so enjoy the science based info on your channel. With the enormous amount of products out there touting themselves as the best thing for your skin, after a while you simply have no way of judging the efficacy of these products just based on an influencers opinion. Personally I want to see the scientific facts when making my decisions. It seems every day there’s some magic lotion, potion, cream, etc. that’s going to make us look fabulous. I don’t know if you’ve done a video before on other products used, the serums, peptides etc. but I would love to see the science behind some of those, because my make up closet is getting stuffed. And I’m starting to think that either I’m using too many that don’t work well together or are repetitive that I’m not even sure where to start anymore.

I bought some ph strips after watching your previous video. Now I test every Vitamin C I buy. I was surprised that the Cereve Vitamin C doesn't change color on the strip. It stays green.

Sunscreen doesn't prevent tans it only blocks the harmful effects of the sun.
Angie lnows her ingredients and her dad is a chemist so I trust her knowledge when making skin care choices. ❤

So I heard a dermatologist recommend Maelove as a good dupe for Skin Ceuticals, (it has ferulic acid and some other ingredients), and within 3 days saw a huge improvement. Don’t know the pH, but to me the results speak for themselves. The ferulic acid has a bit of a funky smell when applied, but it does dissipate.
on my ordering history, timeless, vitamin C is the best as I have purchased a total of 53 bottles now. This was all because of Angie’s recommendation when she tested it years ago. It’s in an airless pump so it does not break down and I get so many compliments on my skin because I have used it for several years. The only other bargain vitamin C she has recommended in the pass is Dr. Brenner’s squalane C serum. It is heavier than timeless, but also really good. @@heidikamrath1951 I use about 3 pumps on my face and neck twice per day. My skin tolerates it well but some people cannot use it twice per day. Also I know Angie likes the green toner. I put it in a misting spray bottle and lightly mist my face before using the Timeless. Hope this helps. P. S.

Geek and gorgeous is also a good deal for us in the US! I get 2 every 6-8 months and keep refrigerated with their mini 10ml bottle on my vanity. So good. I’m shocked L’Oréal sucks so much. I’ve seen a dermatologist recommending that one and would rather buy the geek and gorgeous.

That influencer is probably one who gave incorrect info on charging the Omnilux mask I bought that is still sitting, unopened in the box, for fear of using it. Yes, I bought based on Angie whom I trust, but also became discouraged after another user claimed it is a different company now, and her under eyes were more wrinkly after using, a result I would not want. So, right now, I am using Angie's a.m./p.m. routine/products. Trying to get the nerve to open the more expensive item🙆

Angie - can you do a deeper dive into red light devices and infrared therapy? The research is quite vague. For example, the results published are in the vein of merely stating “wrinkle reduction” and “more collagen” without quantifying it in any way. Can you research this also?

Have bought the Timeless C-serum on Amazon, but testing it with my ph-paper showed it was neutral, so either I’ve bought a fake product or maybe the serum was very old.

I love these test to see exactly what is in the product compared to their claims. I love that the Timeless comes in a container that keeps the C from exposure. I do find in the winter I go down to the 10% but in the summer I use the 20%. I read or heard that vitamin C also helps your sunscreen work and i am definitely on board for that. Thank you so much for the time and energy you spend doing these test! I know if you are OK with a product it’s because you have done real test on them. Thanks 😊

I so enjoy the science based info on your channel. With the enormous amount of products out there touting themselves as the best thing for your skin, after a while you simply have no way of judging the efficacy of these products just based on an influencers opinion. Personally I want to see the scientific facts when making my decisions. It seems every day there’s some magic lotion, potion, cream, etc. that’s going to make us look fabulous. I don’t know if you’ve done a video before on other products used, the serums, peptides etc. but I would love to see the science behind some of those, because my make up closet is getting stuffed. And I’m starting to think that either I’m using too many that don’t work well together or are repetitive that I’m not even sure where to start anymore.

I bought some ph strips after watching your previous video. Now I test every Vitamin C I buy. I was surprised that the Cereve Vitamin C doesn't change color on the strip. It stays green.
